I've seen so many threads about the paranormal and the arguements on whether there is something else out there we can't see.
My opinion on this is that by keeping an open mind we can find the truth without science. I believe there are ghosts and demons, what is your take on it? Please be honest and don't hold back to spare anyone's feelings.
Finding truth without science...if you can put 2 and 2 together to equal 4 and made a deduction that you will arrive at the same answer no matter how many times you work the equation...you've found truth using a form of science in mathematics.
Not all things will have empirical (aka "solid") evidence and there is a lot of science (including paranormal and universal) that determines conclusions from the compilation of both empirical and non-empirical findings....the conclusion you find is evolved from deductive thinking and the open mindedness of disallowing panicked or superstitious assumptions....not everything that goes bump in the night is a ghost...and if you find yourself experiencing something paranormal...it doesn't always mean it is "demonic."
As for what I believe..yes..the paranormal does exist..spiritually, metaphysically...we continue transcendence as differing forms of energy...the science is certainly there to prove that...however, proving that the documented ghost you've found in the attic belongs to your long-dead Aunt Sarah...well...that's a whole 'nother matter...;)
Well said Silver.
As for my thoughts,I believe its a combination of a lot of things. Affects of electromagnetics, medical reasons, geological reasons, chemical affects and cosmic affects ect...ALL of them being natural part/mechanisms of our universe. For the record,I do feel that spirituality and things we consider metaphysical, natural and not paranormal, but they do,non the less happen. They are a intrical part of our make up.My own experiences have shown me this. Some of which science can substanceate now, some being ahead or our scientific capabilaties at this point in time. But that doesnt mean that we wont in the future.
And seriously, one cannot say they have an open mind when they are so down on one of the very things that just might end up prooving its all real once and for all..
To truely be open minded, one cannot discount an explaination simply because it is presented in a scientific manner and offers a different explaination other than one had hoped for.
I can listen to testimony and stories all day long but it tells me nothing that I already dont know..that it happens. It doesnt give me hows or whys.JMHO
This may help you on your path to enlightenment?
The superanatural by its very nature means there is something we cannot see, something else out there.
But common sense tells us you no get sometheting"matter" from nothing.
How long have the scientists taught us that?
When witches scanned black mirrors they laughed.
They just stopped laughing...mirrors are being used to gather particles which don't exist, read this.

I agree Oceanne. We cannot discount something empirical just because it doesn't suit us.
If we are the sum of our experiences, our physiology, our beliefs, circumstances, and our culture, etc., then surely there is merit in lots of different approaches or disciplines when debating a question like the above?
Paranormal simply means something science can not yet explain. Not yet only. As our understanding of the universe and the world around us grows, things fail to be paranormal.
The paranormal and the supernatural, have existed for many centuries and will exist, reason, because it's existance is real. Now, for some, is just pure psychological, for others, just an exploration of something behing their believe. So, my answer, is not in your head, and if some people don't know about it, they will end up at a psychiatry unit. You must keep an open mind.
This looks like it turned out to be a duplicate and covers the same topic as the ghost thread.
Yes, Oceanne it has.
I am going to close this thread since it is a duplicate. ;)
