For those of you that have ever pulled out a ouija board or atleast have some experience with one, I need advice.

A spirit named Hektor visited while the board was still open, he had a message and then faded out part way through, first thing was to send a message to those there that some one needed to go home, then initials were spelled and none knew them but me, as they were my own. Also that he was sent if I'm not mistaken

Any advice or input? Either post on here or send a message.

That does not include the obvious advice because that was already taken care of, to the best I know at least.

Ouija boards are tools used to communicate. Nothing more, nothing less. Any advice would need to consider whether or not you wished to continue the game or return to the mundane world.

Answers will depend upon the goals that you wish to attain.

Simply put, I think the user is just scaring themselves.

I agree, it is the most likely cause in most cases. However, whatever the cause of the manifestation, the most effective way to end it would still be to walk away from the situation and not look back on it.

Most people have a tendency to keep dwelling on such things, which of course, keeps them very much alive, whether they are internal or external.

Ouija boards in my opinion are dangerous and unreliable. I advise getting rid of it immediately.

This is my opinion and in no way to downgrade anyone else's opinion. I tried to get more information from this person but not sure which ID I wrote in so it may be on my other profile.

Anyway, the Ouija board is not dangerous. It is merely a piece of cardboard or wood. Those two are most common substances. It is how the person uses the board. If you do magick or any sort of divining with anything, you have the same risks. It is like computers...junk in, junk out.

I have used these boards of varying types for years without anything ever happening negative at all. When I say years I mean almost 50 years. I have used them with my children and with a medium friend as well and other people. With the medium the planchette moved so quickly we had to have someone sitting beside us taking down the letters and divide the words after each question. I am technically a medium as well but I don't use the ability overtly. Therefore the two of us could raise energy significantly.

I am not sure I believe negative things happen caused by the use of the board but by the person who is using it and as I said how they used it. You can't go by instructions with a game board you buy in Walmart or some place like that. Do your research before you ever attempt to use anything to speak to those who have passed or from other dimensions. It is no different than going to a medium, there is always a risk involved but almost always it is the person who is involved that is the reason and not the reader or a cardboard Ouija board with numbers and letters on it.

Learn how to cleanse the board, learn how to shield. Some of this depends on the belief systems of those using the board and preconceived ideas. Put it in sacred space if you usually do that in your practices. It is no different than using a pendulum or any other device of this type. Most of people's worries come from watching too many movies, kind of like the ideas some have about Satanism and witchcraft. I would say if using it scares you, then don't use the board. You can find other things. If the planchette moved on its own, it could have been residual energy from using the board and nothing sinister.

Sometimes you get unexpected messages from an entity. I looked at my messages and what you said. Just saying goodbye to the first person isn't enough. Your board was still open as you did mention. It isn't necessarily bad that it said to go home. Maybe there was something personal you needed to attend to. It sounds like there wasn't enough energy for him to complete contact. From what you stated, it doesn't sound like anything ominous. That is how it looks to me. Just be sure you cleanse your board before and after use. Be sure you set up a shield in the beginning or whatever way you are use to doing this. It is different in the metaphysical, wiccan, magickal etc. worlds. Be sure that what you are using with the board itself is appropriate (in place of a normal planchette). Each stone has its own energy and use to it. I personally believe you need to use something neutral. Frankly I wouldn't worry about it. The only way you are going to find out is to try to contact the entity in whatever way you are comfortable. Otherwise you can only move on. Any psychic venture opens a doorway you must be sure to close. Tools are only tools.

I think some reactions to the original question are a little over the top & make me think of the chain letters that used to go round on the internet, warning us for every disaster possible, if we didn't send it on.

Ouija bords are indeed a crued tool, they tend to open a wide channel & the information is most of the time not very reliable. Question remains from where it comes, my view is that it does come from the collective unconciousness, through one of the attendants. No spirits or darks forces present, except the one that lurk in ourselves.

I'm very leary of Ouiji Boards. Take care when using one. White light your self first before you begin.

I've known people who used them just once and all shite broke loose in the house. In fact the people had to move away. Please do not use them. What you let in doesn't have to go away.

My guess is that not one of us will answer that question with a yes.

Because answers that people get from Ouija boards are result of ideomotor effect .that is to say when one of the people moves the pointer subconsciously. There are a lot of studies about this from around the globe,that show several phenomena pertaining to paranormal forces.. Ouija boards included , to reveal that they really work by ideomotor effect. Time and time again.
