I think that they just don't know the site that well and get over excited.. Say, if, after 10 hrs of been on that site, that should give you time to get to grips with it and lfind your way, and see what the elders are posting. that will give them a better idea and put an end to this twilight bad post situation... Daire, you're the man to keep everyone in order..... don't envey your job.. you're gonna be busy dude...

after being here even the length I have been I have only posted 1 or 2 threads. WHY.. you may ask :::even if you didnt I'm going to tell you anyways ...*smiles*:::: I don't want to be one of the people posting boring threads or threads that just take up space. I also want to be able to say something somewhat on topic to a thread. Sometimes it is hard to stay on topic and SOME ... VERY RARE.. but SOME of the off topic threads are okay because they do make you think. There does need to be some changed made to threads. ::: sigh::: This past week there has been more tombstones then i can even imagine

You know what i'd think would be a great addition the say, the main menu section. a little tutorial on html... just the basics.. like how to change font color, add picture... etc.... there's alot of people who would like to learn but not sure how or what to use on this site.....

Just another humble suggestion. I don't know if it would be feasible, or possibly cause too much strain on the servers, but having the "new" flags on forum threads extended to the individual posts on the threads, so one could scroll down through longer threads and more easily find the posts that haven't been read yet.

I usually can Dhampir. USUALLY. I have killed a lot of brain cells in my time though.

But with the flags added, one could quickly scroll down through posts and find the new ones without having to stop to re-read through previous ones to catch where you left off. It can be a bit of a chore on longer threads. :)

The problem I think with doing that from all I've been reading and hear Duc is that we (the site I mean) are already pushing overload on the servers. Cancer is doing a wonderful job in maintaining the site to maximize every last ounce out of it until something different is done ... but to add flags and sticky's and all the extra's will only push it over the edge ... feel free to correct me if I'm wrong .. but that is what my understanding is..

That's why I added the whole bit about possibly not being feasible. I'm just throwing out suggestions that I think would be nice, as it is obviously Cancer's discretion as to whether or not the usefulness of anything outweighs the negatives. I know only a fractional bit about coding, so I'm not entirely sure how it would affect it. That's best left up to Cancer, as he's obviously done a rather great job with improvements to date. :)
