I have to tolerate it in other areas of the Internet. I will not tolerate it here. There is nothing worse than a punk kid that thinks he can do whatever he wants without consequence because he hides behind a computer.
Limits in the Forum are soon to be imposed.
Anyone flaming another member or the VR membership will be suspended. The first offense will be one week. If there is a second, the punishment will be left to the discretion of the Administration. You'd better hope I'm not the one reading your flame. It will be an eternal suspension.
There will be no further warnings beyond this thread.
What do you mean Cancer? Is it in the public forum?
Flaming in public isn't very nice at all... best to keep it private in pm. Human nature I guess. As for me, I don't make any secret of who I like or dislike on here, but I do have the class to at least keep my writings in pm.
come on people can't we all just get along? Let's make love not war.
Yes, in the Forum. Some posts have been deleted, but I am sure you can find more if you look.
damn, people just need to keep certin things to themself or in a pm. keep up the good work cancer
Cancer, thankyou for adding a new word to my vocab. Flaming = brilliantlyred; gaudy; violent; furious; often used intensively or to express irritation, etc.. MmHmm... glad to see a post on this. Alot people do love themselves as 'Keyboard Gangsters'. Maybe we could have a hall of shame? Name and Shame them.. *evil grin*
Hmmm.. oh yes! I have read some posts that have been really immflamatory to the extreme point of anger and aired in public here in the forum.
Yea and THATS a pretty naff thing to do, so jolly good rule Cancer!
some "flamming" is done in form of subtle insults which is just as bad. Will that be taken into account?
To add to Deity's response that if I have ever said anything to any of you that may have come off as deragatory or hurtful that it was probably not meant that way and I would appreciate it if it were brought to my attention first before complaining to administration. It is hard sometimes to express how one feels in writing versus in person. So, sometimes one can just be being sarcastic and it can be taken as hurtful. know what I mean?
I want the Administrators to only enforce this when a flame is clear-cut. I know oftentimes a member will come off in a way they did not intend.
Also, I have no problem with someone expressing their point of view. But there is a big difference between expressing a view and expressing a view with the intent to anger another.
I am neither apologetic nor reserved in my posts. If I offend you, get over it. I will never start or end a post with, sorry if I offend... It's silly to think you can comment on all subjects and not eventually offend someone.
But there is a big difference between offense at a point of view and putting forth a point of view with the intent of upsetting another member. This may seem hard to distinguish at first, but the Administration is quite competent. I'm sure they'll handle the task fine.
Flamming is an unnecessary form of degradation and some may be guilty of engaging the keyboard before thinking. I'm sure I am guilty of it, unintentional, of course. As with talking before one engages brain cells. So apologies to anyone I may have chafted.
it is a good blessings to see this come around for i too seen a few newbies that i wondered how they where popping around and just saying hi to with out a few choice words added
Good plan. Its a shame that new rules have to be put in, but as you said in a previous post, Cancer "There is no end to the stupidity of man."
The man has spoken, the rules are in place, lets see who heeds .. The new rules make sense
Gorey, I am not someone that tries to please everyone. I only try to please myself. I'm selfish that way.
