If vampires are in fact real....where do they come from?
my best guess would be from transylvania a long long long time ago. :)
I figure that they have always been here. Just under different legends, names, or descriptions. Evreyone's ideas of vampires are different so anything could have been considered a vampire, even way back when.
i've heard that god curse cain to become the 1st vampire for killing his brother abel...
i think that vampires have been around as long as ppl have i guess. but i dun believe they came from just transalvania...
i think its something that we as humans are not meant to know
I agree lenore... we are not supposed to know, but always be left in wonder.
Personally I like the whole demon, ghost, evil spirit (I can't remember what it was called.) in the blood theory of Rice's. Passed on and passed on...That leads again to the question of where the demon or whatever came from.
Good post.. there's alot of belief's.. the two that stand out are. i tend to belive the second as the best answer..
Vampires in the classical sense do not exist. There are two origins to the myths. One is steeped in the Dark Ages and is all interwoven around male suppressed sexual fantasies, because as you research the legends they all follow the same theme of a lonely male being assaulted by a naked or semi-naked beautiful woman and ravaged but not killed, so this is really 'wishful thinking in a very dark and oppressive society', at that time. For example, the Scottish Glaistig, a beautiful woman who joins wedding feasts uninvited, chooses a strong and healthy male, seduces him to the point of exhaustion and then disappears.
The second origin is, following the downfall of the Matriarchal Age, there were pockets of matriarchal people trapped in Europe with nowhere to go basically, so they hid in castles and led very secluded and mysterious lives. Because the men were always very strong (having received female approval energy), and the women always beautiful, (having been properly energised), the peasants naturally weave weird and wonderful myths around them, but these were highly evolved people try to survive.
they must be real. how could something that isnt real become so widespread. oh wait, i shouldnt forget christianity
lol kissfan
but i do believe that could be said of any long standing religion.
personaly i don't know, a wild bs guess for me though would be God
kissfan,
are you rejecting christianity as a religion or as a faith?
i'm a bit confused ( nothing new )
i have to disagree with "not meant to know" that's like trying to say " i give up trying to know because i don't think i'll ever know the truth." That's not how i am. I think if one really wants to know, they go out and search for it, or look within where most answers are found. If all people were that way, more things would be found today probably.
ummmmmmm really do'nt know but with the pc in hand it will be interesting to search out
