Those who have the pagan belifes.....what do you think of this new age wicca?

See I am Pagan....I go back to celtic Irish belifes.....thats where I get my religous background from.

I see lots of things and rather think if people minded their own business about religion a lot few people would die in a gods name.

I completly understand where you are coming from.....thats the kind of respose I was looking for.....see a lot of people now a days think there is white magic black magic and stuff like that.....but there is no color....

hmmmm what I got from lefayes response was the tone of "who the hell are you to ask"
but maybe I misread....
personally I follow the basic idea of old paganism....without any structure or rules whatsoever...
I worship the lady and her consort in whatever way seems right to me at the time.......normally I am also a solo practitioner....as most people as too stuck in telling me i'm doing it wrong......
when I may be doing it wrong for them.....
but it is not for them that i am doing it at all

Well..the new wicca are better than the old because the old ones tend to collapse when you sit on them.

Then again...there is something to be said for classic wicca...

I believe, but not so long ago i had a bad expirience. One of my friends didn't know I was a pagan, and when he found out, he made a huge deal about it and that made me feel bad... he said that it came from the devil, adn I know that's not neceseraly true, because true witches use magick for good, and not for bad...

Wicca's kinda becoming an umbrella for all sorts of paganist beliefs these days isn't it? I personally have similar views the daermon I do refer to myself as wiccan but I don't follow a structure just a set of my own beliefs which happened to correspond with paganist principals, I do worship the godess and the god it just makes absolute sense to me! Other people have called me a pagan, new ager and allsorts but what's a name? Surely it's the beliefs that're important? Don't turn it into a christian style segregated mess!

I have though about practicing wicca...but Im not sure I can really "get into it"

i've been studying wicca for a while, & i'm thinking of making it my religion. i really hate it when ppl say that it's devil worship. it really isn't. i have a teacher who was insulting wicca, but i try not to lose my temper, especially when he says it's herecy.

I am Pagan. I went to catholic school for ten years so I have no problem with other religions. I am very laid back with them.
