Is it actually enslaving? I know everyone hates workin' for free, but just remember that one day you'll be old yourself & if there is noone to take care of you, its only the laws that will protect you. & could you come up with a better idea that doesnt lose you anything in the long run?

Cos afterall every law or rule has its pros and cons and nobody will ever agree fully to any law imposed.

Yeah, I hear you, Lady. I hadn't thought of the fact of enslavement, but that is what it looks like it is. But I don't know all the facts so I can't say too much on the subject.

Sometimes the bile rises, when I think how unfair is the distribution of wealth even in a first world country like France.

I was watching a program the other night on concert benefits. You know the type of thing: live aid, net aid, farm aid, concert for aids, ..., etc., but one concert benefit really stood out - "Les restos du coeur." That benefit is to feed the starving in France during the winter, and what stood out is that the French government admits that six-hundred thousand citizens don't eat during winter.

By the way, I am not criticizing France, my country's aborigines have the highest child death rates in the world. And if an old person's death is regrettable a child's death is tragic.

I agree... not everytone will agree, and not everyones idea of work is the same, but in the long run, its helping out the country, as long as the government acutually put it in the right place.
