Why does so many people cram their profiles with quizes? I tought that the pro is about You, in your own words...
It`s ok to have a quizz in your pro, or a few, even 10 if you want, but i think that it should be more personal,we all fit in some pattern, but that is not the interesting part. What makes us interesting is the diferences.
Anny toughts?

I've just started putting them in my journals, in the same journal entry, cuts back on annoying ME.

yeah i know what you mean , but yes it would be better if peole put them in there journal or something ... profiles r ment to be personal i understand people wanting a few on there but the whole profile being quizzes is quite rediculous

I understand what you mean. I myself only have 2 or 3 quizzes on my profile. Others I see have hundreds.

I have only been on VR for a short while, but I will tend to agree too many quizes makes for a very hard read and in the end tells you very little.

I agree with all of you. However, I'm going to play devil's advocate for a sec. I think one reason people may put up so many quizzes is because they may be shy and not know what to put. They may feel that the quiz does tell you a little about them. =)

heh this has been an on going line of thought... if you look back through the forums I'm certain you'd see several threads about what profiles should be like....

in the end I think personal is best and one doesn't get personal from filling out a form.

i have both an in depth written summary of myself and my likes and dislikes and all other stuff in my profile, and i have quizzes to, its their profile so they can do it how they like i say

i agree with most of you. i think the profile should be personal. i dont mind the quizzes too much until i see like 20 of them in one profile. they could go in the journal like some of you have said. i used to have a lot of quizzes myself, but then i changed it to make it more about who i am. i dunno, but thats just how i feel about it all.

I agree that most of these pro are filled with quizzes I myself have quite a few too but I only do this because I have no idea what to write. I guess I'm a little shy when it comes to telling people about myself and I think that some of these quizzes do say something about what kind of person they are. but than again you can never be sure if the person is telling the truth or not, so I whole heartly agree because these quizzes are basicly useless especially when you really what to get to know the person.

Well, I've been thinking about this and decided to move mine to my Journal. I also added another poem but I added it to my profile, its about someone special to me.

I have made my profile personal. I talk about who I am and what I have done in my life, my likes and dislikes. I have posted a few "quizzes" on my portfolio because I took them for fun and found the outcome very interesting and wanted to share them, besides almost all the quizzes really define who I am as a person. I really do not like to talk about myself and found these to be helpful in relating who I am, besides I like to let people find out who I am by talking to me. It should be up to each individual on what they put in their profile, after all it is freedom of speech and expression. Just my 2 cents on this subject.

Actually....my quizzes are up only because they actually describe me perfectly.......

If I take a quiz, and it's not dead-on.....I don't put it on my profile.

Simple as that......

I do admit that there are some nice things

about reading someones profile with SOME

of the quizes in them, but having it nothing

but and/or very little on who the person

really is.

I'm having a hard time with that, only becuz

i would like to get to know the person and

see what they are all about and not what a

quiz has figured out of what or who you are,

cuz that is not a profile about you; That's a

profile about your quizes and what your are

potentially are like due to you taking them.

A few are fine but when I feel like im puttin time in on something like that for get it

I'm not too big on quizzes myself. I think that if you find some that help describe you to people, then they can add to your pro. But don't go overboard. Too mant quizzes gets repetative and people start getting too bored to read the good info in the pro.

I have been slowly but surely taking mine out and putting other things in,i don't talk about myself so i only put the ones in that describe me.Quite frankly i am to blunt for many people so i let the quizes speak for myself.

I have two quizzes...they caught my attention....and there will likely never ever be more...
I try to put in info about me....however little that might be....but the quizzes do tend to get used waaaaaaay to much

Well I have like two quizes on my profile and thats cause they kind of interested me. But I have a in deph summary about me on my profile that explains alot about me.

It drives me nuts when a person has nothing but quizzes on their profile. If there is also lots of info about them, its cool, but JUST quizzes is annoying.

Too many quizes can clutter a profile and make it very annoying. I think that people should put them in their journal. But I agree with all of you on that profile should be what you put in it. Not some form you fill out, as said before.

i think the quizzes are a good way to start but you have to build away from them...

There are many things here on VR that are reocuring, threads that have already been discussed, all the same quizzes, too many similar profiles.
I think that we all are here `cos we think that we are diferent, we are not cliches , let`s show it than damn it!

I believe that if you are going to make any type of profile on a website, you should be able to TYPE in detail about yourself and not use all the quizzes to do so. Besides, I never read the quizzes. They make me lose interest in the profile and the person very quickly.

I have a limit on quizes I post...

I'm going to keep mind at 2-3 quizes...and have a third quiz that I rotate in and out. 2 of the quizes really show who I am - theya re not the cute little "what color are you" quizes...but generally more thoughtful ones that shows me as a person....

the third quiz, will just be something wild and fun
