I am doing some research and have noticed that many here claim to be true vampires. Vampires are said to be immortal. Many claim to be born a vampire. At what point do you stop aging when you are born as an immortal? (At least in the Highlander movies/series, it was whenever you first died. But no one claims that its fact..) I would truly like to hear from someone who is immortal. Where and when were you born? Actual dates that can be researched. Who was ruling in your place of origin? What were the predominant religions and traditions? How are you adapting with the times? How much do you remember?

no vampyre is immortal, except two according to my lord, we do age slower. i am not sure on the date, if u would like to know for sure, message lordofnoctemaeternus. i am not a fake. i am the real deal, i am vampyre, i am no poser.

We are excluding the House of Noctemaeturnus as they are Role playing and nothing more. We are looking for actual facts, i.e. documentation(verifiable) and true knowledge of when they came to be. I have always read that vampires are extremely intelligent because of their accumilated knowledge throughout the centuries. we were hoping for true confirmation. Thank you though.
Can you prove you age slower? Can you present an actual birth certificate? That is what we are searching for.

It is already difficult in real life,from the internet it is going to be more.

I have to agree with Gnikhos...I don't think any true immortal will expose it self in this thread...If it's their ways to protect their identities by keeping them secret, so they can continue to have a quiet life without being the subject of scientific study, I see the true ones answering in the internet like showing in the news: no way in hell. Well, We are glad to see that no-one reads the thread and contributes to a research forum post except to boost post ratings. Obviously our goal is to find out how many individuals on Vr who claim to be purebloods and "TRUE" vampires can back their claim. Obviously NO-ONE can. Although we appreciate everyone comments(although useless and meaningless), there seems to be a trend of hypocrisy to those who posted "facts and links" (Miz and others) while feeling the need to express thier obvious pessimism towards our hopeful quest to see who is actually a TRUE VAMPIRE ON THIS SITE.

Well if I was something similar(which I don't believe in it anyway) then why in other threads and in thier profiles they write am an immortal vampire than don't reply a thread where the questions is asked?

hey, That was not my intention. I'm not being pesimistic, I just think that a point is being proven here.
Like Deathnitegrl said, all the people that have the Immortality trait on their profiles feel shy when it comes to answering with specific and veryfiable(sp?) data. Why is that? Is it because it's true, or because they're lying?
That was my point. Not to be pessimistic or to bring your research down. If there's a true Immortal out there, I sure would like to know too.

As far as immortals go Hollywood has infected the minds of the human races with fictitious propaganda. It is unfortunate that we are born to die but with the help of modern medicine we now can extend our lives to reach the age of ninety or one hundred + but that is as far as a human body can live in this time and age.

But can you elaborate on your birth as a vampire. I mean anything that can ACTUAL prove you to BE vampire, or is it just your word?

My great grandmother lived to 102, does that mean SHE was a vampire?

As a latino(puerto rican) we have a dish called blood sausage, does that mean ALL latinos are vampires?

We are looking for that ONE person to claim to be an immortal, and Ive seen people state that on here. Why they don't come forth is beyond me.

lucioswolfe God bless her that she is 102 but I doubt she would live to 150 or more. Please do not put words into my mouth I was stating that most people do not reach that age and if they do then it is gravy. But it does not mean that they are a Vampire or immortal.

As far as the dish you mention there are many cultures that use blood in there food but it does not make them Vampires. In earlier days all parts of the animal where used for everything and anything nothing was wasted. So that would make almost half the world Vampires?

The only thing immortal about me would be my soul for the body is a shell and will decay.

As for what D.A. mentioned about the food with blood, yes, I agree with it. We have that hear. Blood as soup and bits and pieces or small bones of a pig or cow and we eat it. It's quite a dish. But, it doesn't mean we're vampires.

Well, I see alot has gone on in my absence, and thank you Jason for taking care of that. All I'm looking for, is that everyone who is CLAIMING in other threads, and their profiles, to be immortal... Prove yourself. Prove to me what you say you are, so that I may believe you now. I'm not trying to weed out the posers, or pick on anyone. I just want facts. People state that they're immortals, down to 14 yr old vampires that claim they were born that way. Why not present me some facts? Everyone here knows how I am, I'm the first to scream Poser. I don't want to be like that anymore. I want to believe, so give me a reason to.

As for the food thing that happens even were I live we have a dish called blood pudding and there are some people who like the steak a bit raw that surely doesn't make them vampires hehe.

I've never claimed to be immortal. Merely an HLV. Just means my body is slightly different than a normal human's body. Nowhere in my profile do I state that I am immortal. The only immortality is achievable by works of your creation.

The immortality issue is bound to come up around here. People are going to claim to be immortal. I say let them have their fun. I know you don't think you're sounding antagonistic, but I think other might agree with me that, you sort of are.

I love blood sausage, here in Portugal we cook rice with chicken blood, I love my stakes rare, and I'm not a vampire and I sure ain't immortal...I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to get some facts straight, as long as people don't feel attacked, or act like they're being attacked, when actually what I think is that this thread is just asking for facts.
If no one can't present facts, or is unwilling to give them, I think no one should feel offended either.

Well, maybe back when an old Vampire was born they could live longer than 100 years. I don't think that any REAL Vampires are going to come forth, cause honestly they don't have the proof. If they are old Vampires then they have changed their names and identities many times to keep from being revealed, therefor all birth certificates, etc. have been done away with to keep it that way. I just think it's funny that we have this site to find possible REAL Immortal vampires and no one wants to believe it, everyone wants to blame it on Hollywood. I would like to believe it, considering not much of anything else is worth believing to me. Lets please keep this Fantasy of many people alive. And thank you POSERS for keeping many of us believing in our own Fantasy. It would be really great if a true IMMORTAL Vampire were to reveal themselves. But this thread, and other websites help prove that society is yet still not ready for that. I do love this thread and many others though, so keep em coming. Just food for thought.

This is weird...Iv'e seen a few real noticable fakes...I agree with many people, IF I was a True vampire, I would not expose myself to anyone.

There is nothing weird about this for a thousand years people have searched for immortality. Legends, folklore, myths all exist pertaining to this but none have ever been proved. So does it exist? Only in our dreams….

No, luciuswolfe. I understand that completely. But as you have said before if the Immortal Vampires come forth they would be put under a microscope, so why would they want to come forth at all. Even with all the other records all you have to do is look it up of what religion and ceremonies happened way back when, so nobody still wouldn't believe them. Even with all the proof it's still hard to prove that you are a REAL Immortal Vampire, plus you wouldn't wanna reveal yourself, would you?
