I don't know much about witchcraft but I was just wondering if there was a limit to how many familiars you can have and if there is a guide line to what kind of familiar it can be? (sorry if its a stupid question.. I'm just curious)
its ok :)
well as far as i know, there is no limit of how much familars you have and what type of familiars youhave.. but maybe other tradtions have other guidelines
I have never heard of a set limit. I suppose it is up to the one who has them.
ive never heard od a limit or set type it has all been personal prefrence
thanks :) Its hard to find people you can ask questions about their beliefs without them getting all uptight and angry..
From what I here, there's not a real limit, just common sense. The fewer familiars you have, the deeper the bond you have with them.
as far as I know, there is no limit to the amount of familiars you can have nor the type they are. I am of the opinion from experiance, that more familiars can be better. More knowledge to help out.

There are no real limits. And your familiar can be any type. I do think though that you will have one that is always there w/you. Watching you. For example, I have a cat, and he is always with me when I do rituals, spells or simply doing a divination. He hovers close around me like that. I believe also you can and do have many different guardians.
To the best of my recollection, there is no limit to how many familiars you can have.
I personally have a friend who has 6... But she used them for different aspects of her life and magick.
Although I would tend to agree that the more you have, the less connection you'll be able to make with them, and the weaker the bond... which has a snowball effect.
