I had a poll posted about how you get blood (if you drink it). A lot of people answered "other" (the options were cut yourself, cut a bf/gf, bf/gf cuts self, donor and other). I was just wondering if anyone who answered w/ other would like to share what the other is? I'm now very curious.

One problem with the polls is this:
not everyone is either interested, knows about or pratices what the poll is asking for. Many who start polls forget this.

In your case, "other" may mean; they do not drink or taste blood. Not too many here actually do. ;)

i didn't answer that poll, and i don't drink blood personally, but my ex did.

he never cut me, but he could make me bleed... i don't understand it really, don't know how to explain it... it's like he could pull my blood up through my skin...

firstly good point about people maybe answering "other" for not drinking blood. though i did specify in the question "if you do".

secondly, i've never heard of it being done that way (bringing blood up through the skin), but if he was breaking the capillaries, I suppose it would be possible to pull it through the pores...interesting.

i am into bdsm and in that retrospect,it is called cupping when u bring the bllod up thru the skin!!

I am a donor since for blood, me I take the one from raw meat I am sorry if I sound gross or awful but I am who I am the cat is out of the bag.

By "other" I mean purchacing through a Bloodbank in England. It is by far the safest way, and since blood in a bag to not rot, you can keep it in case you need a treat.

It is VERY rare I drink blood so purchasing is the safest and best way, or that is at least what I believe.

theres two ways i get mine..either i suck like im making a hickey and bring it thru the skin, or i drink the blood from steak, since i only eat rare steak

Lancet, like the diabetics use to draw blood for their moniters... just set it deeper than you would normally when drawing blood for your monitor. Some areas obviosly bleed better than others with a lancet... You get some nice flow in some places... it heals quickly and it is easier to justify bringing into a nightclub than a cutting utensil.

I had some chick bite me in New Orleans during Mardi Gras, it was not practical... actually it was ludicris and I had to restrain myself from laughter. Mind you the fang marks lasted several Months, as of to add credibility to the New Orleans myth for coworkers and other mundanes.

lol i was one of those that answered other with the meaning of i do not drink blood at all........ so billy is pretty right on with that one...........

i use any means necessary to get blood... The only rule is that they are willing... After that I dont really care..

Everyonce in a while i will drink my own blood...just a little though. I have never had anyone that would let me drink their blood. :(

Thank you for the insights. I suppose it's only fair that I share my own.

I usually use the lancets and a donor, though occasionally a blade will do (if the donor allows it). If no donor, I cut myself.

i gut a womans vaginal w/ my teeth, drank her blood and we both enjoyed it.

The last poster got my attention with his answer. I am sure his female partner enjoys it.

I do not literally drink blood at this time. IF I did, I would drink only the blood of those who I knew and trusted. I am too aftaid of catching something.

I either use a single-edged razor (right out of the vacuum bag everytime) or a syringe and put it in my cup. For me, bloodletting is more like a ceremony when I need to replenish my energy. It doesn't hurt that it tastes so good... Oh, and I ALWAYS make sure my donor is tested. Safety first.

i just sit and wait for a curious vampire to wander past and take their share ;)
