In the Tale of the Body Theif by Anne Rice, one of the Main characters, David Talbot discuses a theory that has been discussed several times. The Beggining of the world.
Rice says in the voice of Talbot,
"I think the answer might be in Genesis,"he said finally,"I really do."
"David, you amaze me. Talk about missing pieces. Genesis is a bunch of fragments."
"Yes, but telling fragments remain to us, Lestat. God created man in his own image and likeness. I suspect that that is the key. Nobody knows what what it really means you know. Hebrews didn't think god was a man."
"And how can it be the key?"
God is a creative force, Lestat. And so are we. He told Adam, 'Increase and multiply.' That's what the first organic cells did, Lestat, increased and multiplied. Not merely changed shapes but replicated themselves. God is a creative force. He made the whole universe out of Himself through cell division. That's why the Devils are so full of envy---the bad angels, I mean. They are not creative creatures; they have no bodies, no cells, they're spirit. And i suspect it wasn't envy so much as a form of suspicion--that god was making a mistake in making another engine of creativity in Adam, so like Himself. I mean the angels probably felt the physical universe was bad enough, with all the replicating cells, but thinking, talking beings who could increase and multiply? They were probably outraged by the whole experiment. That was their sin"
"So you're saying God isn't a pure spirit."
"That's right. God has a body. Always did. The secret of cell-dividing life lies within God. And all living cells have a tiny part of God's spirit in them, Lestat, that's the missing piece as to what makes life happen in the first place, what separates it from non-life....(I'll skip a bit here)
God is the fire, and we are all tiny flames; and when we die, those tiny flames go back into the fire of God. But the important thing is to realize that God Himself is body and soul! Absolutely....
I'll tell you what the big bang was, Lestat. it was when the cells of God began to divide."
(For further and more, read the book, The Tale of the Bodytheif by Anne Rice, Copyright1985)

So in summation, God is comprised of an infinite number of cells, some of which reside in each of us. These cells perpetuate life, and our "creativity" or our ability to think for ourselves, divine new ideas, etc.
Now I ask, what if when a vampire feeds, such as I, or any other that perpetuates this site, we are actually taking small amounts of this lifeforce, so that ours builds greater.
What if our powers are from having more God in us than a normal human?
My evidence to this is just. I have seen humans that I regularly fed from, or took large amounts of energy out of, seem to become taciturn, and angry, lazy and dull. Like all good is gone from them, all drive. Perhaps, when we feed, we feed off of their very souls. but also, vice versa, those who I give energy seem to almost get high off of it. They become aloof, energetic, have creative spurs.
So, if this theory is true, does that make us damned, or do we go to Heaven, since so much of us is Godly? If it is true, would you cease to feed? Or feed more often? How would this effect you if it does? What are your thoughts?

I don't think that we are godly necessarily, although I have never fed, and I have not the experience to know what it feels like. I have been fed from, and I can say that I have become angrier, almost like the energy is not there to control the anger. I have yet to feed from anyone, and experience the after effect

i see you have thought long and hard on this to make up such a theroy, it does make sense once you think about it.

but what if we had to souls when we are born? and vampires only have one. would that make them even less like gods, or would it make them higher on the pedistal of life?

I believe we all have a specific gift. Whether or not we discover and use it is a whole different situation as is how we use it. Do good, be ggod, Do bad, redeem or be damned.

would know if godly is such a good term for us.. though I have nothing to put in its place.....

I know that everyone is given a special gift that was meant just for them for a specific purpose....whether or not they use that gift for the purpose it was given I guess would be up to free choice, but I think if it was not used the way is meant it would be stripped away. In some way, form or fashion.

The word "God," and other words that fit this discription, would have no meaning if we didn't write them down. The same goes if we were not here to hear or speak those words. In that vain, we are all god, since we created it. This being so, we make god void.

/No, I am not an atheist, really. :P

i feel that God is a powerful force, That has created this that we are an that mabe, just mabe the Vampire is just anouther stage in are development. but as to weather we go to heavin or hell. i honestle feel that God will waigh your soul an heart an then lay judgment. not just decide because your a vampire. we feed from human life, not unlike other preditors in the wild. My daughter dryed when she say the tiger kill a small animale in the wild on tv, an thats the naturil order of things, so thats what i had to explained to her, its an ugly thing but thats the way the real world is.

I beleive in one Source, the enlightment, be it God or any other form. This source is feeding us everyday, and all our moments help us to gain more power. In my life I never fed from blood but from energy.

geez we could literally be at this subject forever.everyone has their own idea on creationism and the origins of the different beings and the beginning of all things.does it truly matter? whatever the case may be,the fact is vampires have been around probably just as long as time itself, they weren't "wiped out" in Noah's flood like some things were and they weren't selected for natural extinction.and no one knows what God truly looks like either.thats another question I gave up on along time ago.If God made all things, where did God come from?
