Im a chaos magic user, in short I take from all magic’s and mix it up and see what works best.
A Servitor is a shell of a being used to perform task of the master (me).
Normally it is created over a period of time using skeleton Sigils and then fleshed out and given a purpose.
I woke from some astral work the other day and I saw in my half dream state one in my bedroom transparent shadow being above my computer.
I see it more and more now as I mediate, not strong enough to be seen in our dimension … never will.
Works wonders in astral magic.

My question is I didn’t perform the normal ritual and sigils to make it… how did it happen?

As for your question, mostly likely it had very little to do with what you did or didn't do. When we first wake up from sleep we are still in an alpha state of awareness. This is a great time to "see" or "hear" from other realms. It is very important to write whatever you experience on paper as soon as you can before you start to rationalize your thoughts.

Servitors are bound to the physical plane with sigils and glyphs. The Egreore is a though construct. If you think it you create it. That quasi-conscious state allows for your subconsious to freely create, which you have apparently done. But it becomes self sustaining and opperates with the will of the subconsious. Something that your waking mind will not control, unless you know yourself, and what makes you tick.

As for rituals themselves, who do you think they are for? Do you actually believe that they work on other entities or beings other than ourselves? Learn the meaning of rituals and what they do and you'll have your own answer.

I wasn’t linking it that way iv been messing with Mr Crowley lesser keys and at first thought id opened something.
I didn’t put it together till a friend on VR described it totally as being at there place for a second or two

How do you know that it was not just a ghost or spirit that you seen, and not something created by magick?...

It just stands there I also thought at first demon … how cool, I noticed it wasn’t doing anything just standing, robes flapping gently in a slow down version of wind.
So I new from that observation it’s not windy in my room , so it’s dimensional.
And not a ghost as I don’t know anyone whos ghost is draped in black robes and has an almost six feet chest across and no face under the robes.
I know it was just astral work as I have seen similar but never when I wake from meditation, and that was just where I had been.

just my view on it i work some of he astro and chaos magic it could be your powers in the magic getting stronger and you are seeing your protector

Well yes I guess it is…. My servant who does my bidding, I just haven’t programmed it yet. I have a astral place.. it is so dead in the temple it was crumbling. I also have had dealings with shadow beings …. Don’t get me wrong I don’t see them our dimension in full form just glimpses which mean there in my mind not reality.
However in astral work which is not lucid dreaming, you bring such things into play, I didn’t work on making one yet it happened.
Problem with the magic I do is the bleed over and soon reality becomes questionable as it’s all perception. Getting up and work becomes secondary at times.
I want to cause a opening to other realms, I believe intent and will power are the key

If you are having problems with the bleed over, then you should maybe stop practising for a short time and meditate so that you can gather your energies and gather your thoughts before starting to practise again.

Bleed over can be very very dangerous in the fact that if small things start to become secondary, and then more and more starts to become secondary, how long do you think it might be before everything becomes secondary?

It could still be a demon, observing, a lower class of demon, serving a higher one who you have caught the attention and now is watching your progress to make a report, I sugest you be carefull and maybe stop for a while, till this entity moves away a bit from you.

I agree Mener, it’s just becoming more clear as I go into this bleed over. I had the bloody thing in my mind visually sat next to me on the train and no one sat next to me on a filling train, every other time someone does …it’s little test like that that make me want to go deeper.

Yes it can wake me at night, no words or pokes just a strong feeling like an urgency or im late for work, like forgot to pay a bill.
I get to see it’s shape for about 45 seconds or so then it becomes shadows…. Mind you the shadows around the room are starting to look like veins in the ceiling or more like a spiders web with strands over 10” thick matted past like through, like the ceiling is transparent sort of.

The reason it would work within the respects of chaos magic is that chaos magic has no real rules. You can work with sigils if that is a strong focus for yourself. You could just as easily work with a J.R. Tolkien book on hobbits if you felt that would work better. The principles of chaos magic say that whatever focuses your mind and energy is a valid form of magic. Fiction, Art, History, or your own imagination are all valid. So perhaps if you've developed enough focus by repetition, the sigils are no longer necessary for you.

Very well said FelixFelix. I amgree whole heartedly. Indeed, with many types of magick the saying "practise makes perfect" is a very valid statement, moreso with chaos magick.

what makes a spell work is what you put into it not how you prepare it... if you put your energy into a certain outcome that is what happens

I don't hold much with the *items* some witches/magick users use in spells as i think it's all in how much of your energies you yourself put into the spell you cast that makes it work.

Crowley added a lot to the idea of Chaos Magic but got a little caught up in the power of publicity and spent far more of his time trying to be the evil that everyone wanted him to be as opposed to learning and following more of his own path.

There's books by the likes of Phil Hine or others (including Crowley) that will try to explain what the hubbub is all about with this...end result of most books however will be the basic tenet that any path, focus, goal, ritual, or foundation for magic is not only ok but totally valid because you chose it. That means that none of these books are really going to be a "how to" for Chaos Magic.

I've spent time years ago on this and really, it was liberating and frustrating. Liberating because I always felt that many established rituals were a little cheesy or overly dramatic in ways I didn't feel drawn to, and frustrating because it's always easier to follow written instructions of someone who supposedly went before you than to 'write your own instructions as you go'.

As for a website...anyone can google but Joseph Max has a refreshingly blunt (and even sarcastically funny) take on the whole thing at his site. He loathes the ancient "grand exalted pooh-bahs" as well as the "New Age bunny-foo-foo-white-light-feel-goodys" not for whether or not they work but for their belief that theirs is the only right way.

Just realize that the first few paragraphs may be a little bit of a rant on the common misinterpretations of this art.

Personally I don’t really care what people think.
This path needs exploring … to be able to do this with no altered state has taken some time …. The simple truth is I learnt in altered states of shamanism in my past … now it’s my perception I have control of with no mind altering substances… or I turned myself mad lol

Lavisbre - if you've been using salvia divinorum or some other herb or hallucinagenic to 'open your mind' then I don't doubt that you could learn to achieve that 'state' after a while without the plant or chemicals. I know that after years of using hallucinagens like lsd or mushrooms, many find that they look at the world differently. It's easier to see things from outside perspectives. Course that also means that the psychologists of the world consider you legally insane but hey...maybe they would have thought that before the drug use too :)

Lol thanks felixfelix ,,, I agree ones mental state is called into question when one has taken mind expanding drugs ….. mind you I disagree with the states concept of insane, why only 30 years ago if you decided to not clean your house or be abused by your husband you were sent to bedlam and lobotomized … not much has changed.
I do believe control by the state is the only madness, those able to break out of the box are labeled mad.
I think some of the best music art and concepts have been produced by those the state calls legally mad.
I agree my equivalent to Harvey the rabbit a sort of pooka I made is not for the normal mind to understand… im just noticing it affecting my everyday life.
I understand this sounds mad to most im looking for those who have or are understanding this event.
