As I move from one forum to another, and try to find even a morsel of real knowledge or truth, I find that with the execption of a few persons who are actually serious.

People are posting things that are unreaserched, non-factual and almost totally lacking in knowledge...

There are many of us in here that are actually trying to maybe better ourselves, and possibly help others, but the overwelming amount of foolishness is saddening...

IF YOU HAVE ISSUE WITH THIS THREAD, THEN CONSIDER WHAT TO ARE POSTING...

The Forums used to be full of interesting threads, some factual others fiction. However, now I have a hard time finding anything worth reading let alone posting to.

C'mon people... bring back the in depth discussions, not the trivia that is being flung around!

but we must not forget that others are here knowledge like me, and i try to sound knowledgable, yet I love the forums because everyone does have a response in their own terms.

I think you hit it right on.
The trouble I am finding is that everyone seems to be stuck in anne rice mode.
People need to step away from the dvds and read a few real books.

Things have truly changed since I first joined the site.. You use to could come to the Forum and pull truthfull knowledgable information from within the posts here. It upsets me as well that you have to really search for knowledge within the forums anymore.. So I tend to agree with what has been said here..

I completely agree with the idea of reading some real books. Which ones do you have in mind??

All of your are right because what are in the movies and in books are not all real as people think they are. and I know I am probaly one of the people you are talking about but I know what I am talking about so move on with your life and I will move on with mine ok that is all I have to say about it.

I am currently going through the lesser keys of Solomon great information without a doubt.

lesser keys are great...as to what type of books would depend on what you are into..

However i would suggest starting with studying the history of Religion, and the similarities between then...33

I agree movies are hollywoods bending of the truth. And some books are fables of words upon blank pages. yet some think that real life dwells in the TVs and movies. yet most writing is mans interpatation of ol text. and some should be considered fable.

studing of all religion is a good base to start and follow the interest you may have.

Your right i started lately by reading the king james version of the bible and the are some truth and some not

When I began my journey in to magickal studies, I started reading everything I could get my hands on about the Celtic path.

From there I went to Native American Shamanism, and then I checked out the Egyptian path my daughter has been following for quite some time.

Now I am a follower of the FaerieCraft and have found this path to be COMPLETELY different and somewhat opposite than the ones I searched through before.

I feel that knowledge is the key to ALL things and even if you don't consider yourself to be scholarly I feel your search is a never ending one.

You hit it right on knowledge is the path research the subject from every aspect and than decide your belief. words are words but given meaning they become a tool to you mind.

While I do do my research,I might not be the smartest apple on the tree..however,that still does not mean I dont love to see intelligent conversation on matters, and even try to participate some.And I cannot stand when things are repeated when someone has not even bothered to look through threads to see if a subject is already being disscussed..So hopefully,many will take heart here and maybe make some adjustments before posting.

I have a better idea. Instead of complaining/discussing about better threads - make one! Members here have mentioned doing research and its importance. Perhaps you can construct a thread that teaches the hows and whys and whats involved. If its made to benefit VR than place it in the Main section if not, its Sandbox. Hint.

It may prove interesting. At least nobody can make a post that claims "anything is possible." lol.
