Living in the UK I've never heard of unit 13.

This myth was debunked by the History Channel - 'Creatures from the 4th Dimension', broadcast in the US in January of this year.

They showed that standard camera has an long exposure time, which produces the stretched effect of an insect flying at high speed.

I remember doing some basic research on this a few years back as well and came to the same conclusion.

I don't see this going anywhere as a discussion.

Not only was it proven to be a hoax but because of the time and effort spent in proving it a hoax new laws have now become statutory to safe guard wasted government resource and time.

What I find fascinating is that we still have the need to want to believe in this type of thing.
