Ok I just spent like over 2hr trying to find this tree and I have not ever heard of it and cannot even find it on any of the multiple sites I searched... Now I am curious as to whether it is real or not LOL.. so if anyone may find some info plz share ....
Are you referring to the immortal lily flower? It's a dried flower that looks a bit like a little fairy in a dress that is used in tea and blossoms in water.
that sounds awefully close the story i heard about was on " in search of "
and i thought they referanced it to be a tree and the fairys protected the royals as they slept under the tree and dried up and look like little people ... iam a collector of rare objects and i would love one of the little mummified fairy bodys

I have read about this in one of my vast collection of books.. It is most commonly found in Asia, and is only seen in American markets in certain stores that have direct relations to stores in Japan and China.. Usually they will not sell to Americans anyways.. The Oriental Lilly Pod Tree has similiarties to crystals in that it holds a magnetic charge that carries energy. Its energy is so powerful that when people see it, they automatically reach to touch it. It is said to "ward off evil spirits" and to "magnify good luck as well as ginger"
I vaguely remember seeing info re this on that same show - or maybe it was something on the Discovery Channel. It was more or less an Asian urban legend about tiny fairy-like folk who grew on the trees...intrigued Europeans way back when when they were also looking for lost cities of gold in the Americas.
if anyone here knows of any books/publications on this, I'd also like to know where I can buy them.
Thank you so much for the Link YAY!! I appreciate the help from FelixFelix... I enjoyed reading about it..
