Has anyone had the Reiki I attunements and if so what were your experiences during the 21 day cleansing process that followed?

I have had friends that needed real physical therappy for injures and not get it because they started with reiki and other things so now they are in pain from things "healing" unajusted to movement, if reike is anything it is claimed to be their would be an accredited practice by now. symtom supression is nothing new in hack claims.

i've had friends who have done the reiki attunements but they didn't really say anything about the period afterwards. i didn't really think much of it at the time.

Hmmm. I realize that Reiki attunements actually cost money but I would have thought someone on VR would have went through it

I have gotten them and given them. I am a Reiki Master and I enjoy alot. There is a process between attunements of which depends on what you had done and what they told you it was about.

What would you like to know about level one?

Reiki is very tempting. I'd like to learn it but have yet to see its beneficial effects. I've got a friend who's actually taking a course now so I'm waiting to see his results before going on.

I've gone through all three attunements for Usui Reiki. The twenty-one days after my level one attunement were fine for me. Thankfully, I didn't experience any cleansing side effects or anything like that. But, when I received my Seichim attunement, I caught a pretty nasty cold afterwards. I try to do a fast, and stay away from caffeine, meat, or heavy foods a few days before an attunement. That usually helps me.

I have done both level 1 & 2 & for the first week after my level 1 I was really sick (as in throwing up all the time) & suffered with severe migranes. The level 1 attunement itself was quite powerful & moving for me & during my level 2 I experienced some incredible visions. I'm glad I did them & use reiki often on both myself & friends to provide calm & mental healing.

I dated a reiki master and i actually felt something.. I think it works for sure and i believe it and would do it again someday.. Just not with the same guy..

I have recently received the tittle of Reiki Master - I to do Usui Reiki. My Instructor has been active in the Reiki community for 25years. I am most fortunate that she has been my guide and mentor. It does not require a belief system. It simply is. It is from pure spirit.
Therefore, it is incorruptable.
Blackenheart and Isistemple are both Reiki Masters.
They are my sisters in the work that is Reiki and I am most proud of them

For me , Reiki has been a very pleasant experiance fro me, especially with helping with my headaches , I would recommend to any one.I know several Masters and some that work especially with animals .

I had the Reiki I attunements and the next 21 days were not so different from the days before the attunement... There were some changes (no more headaches and could sleep better) plus I slowly started to feel more... connected with the world... and the belief system changed a little...
I said there were not so many changes? They were... and they still continue

I have acheived Reiki master this last spring. I did not have any ill effects from going thru attunement. but was closely watching my diet. Like some others I have read here, the heavy foods just would not be a good thing for the system.

The thing with the food is controversial... there are people who eat all they want and still be as tuned in as the ones who keep a diet... Is diet so important?

If you have to diet & cut out foods, then I'm not trying it. Otherwise it does sounds a bit interesting.

I am just now starting to get into Reiki just been so busy had not had time to read the books

very interesting,i think for the most part the in person classes are great and work well but i have heard there are long distance and online classes now those i think are pretty much B.S if i was to want to be a certified master it would have to be in person.
i have also heard that one is not considered a master in this art untill they have taught one student the levels.

No, not yet. It is a subject of study for me at the moment. :)

I agree with BloodxXxOverDose that learning Reiki over the net is B.S. I don't even see how this would work?

Yep, had all of the levels. I am a Reiki Master. =) I am currently working on certifying someone from here again. It's a long process to do it all. It used to take years. Not so much now. haha.....

I saw some of my animal spirit guides. I saw a white owl and of course I have a hamster as one. My Reiki teacher/friend Dee said she also saw a white tiger for me, if I recall correctly.

There are several things you can see. Any number of things. Images on here saw her protective angel when I did hers. You can ask her about her experiences with it.

Since you guys have not had them over distance then you should not put it down. You obviously haven't been through the teaching. I have. Don't you know that there really isn't time and space? It is quite easy to heal over space, because you connect with the other person in spirit, their etheric body. It's their life source, and they are not required to be there in person.

There are Reiki symbols that you use with healing and one is for physcial distance in particular.

If you don't know anything about it, I don't know how you could say it's BS.

No I need one. I have books on Reiki just need to start reading them.

I was attuned by Jamie. It is an awesome energy experience and yes, as she said, I absolutely did see Saint Raphael (patron saint of healing) during my attunement.

I have not tried it, and I am very nervouse to try it. I can feel when anything messes with the energy around my body and it makes me feel very uncomfortable. If I knew anyone in my area who did that, I might consider trying it.

ive had friends that have but personley myself i havent. i dont really feel i need a cleansing
