Are male wiccan witches classed as wizards? Can we have wizards that practice witchcraft? do you think wizards would be folklore and myth?

I am just curious, because I would class myself as a witch and not a wizard, because wizard sounds more like fictional. The wizard of Oz is fantasy and so is Merlin.

I think witches are both male and female, depending on what witchcraft you practice. I would class a wizard more as Magician, because a witch practices with spells and rituals.

Does anyone have any ideas about this issue?
