This has always been a question that bothered me. I'm sure everyone here has their own opinions about certain topics, but what makes you right? What *IS* right, or wrong for that matter? Will we ever know what the 'right' decision is when facing crossroads?
Basically, what I'm asking here is, is there an ultimately correct answer to every question? Except math of course:D
Apologise beforehand if this topic has already been discussed.
Ya know what? This is an excellent question.
I never have the correct answer. I only ever have my answer.
I am not sure there *can* be a correct ultimate answer to every question. Reality is as each person perceives it, so each ultimately correct answer, if there is such a thing, would have to be subtly different from and for each person.
Great. Now I haveanother topic upon which to think. :) I may have further words to say, and I'll probably end up contradicting myself. It's a wonder I can ever come to any conclusions. Every answer seems right and wrong at the same time. LOL
im no where near eloquent enough to answer this... Im sure The Man would have something to say...

The answer to all questions could be:
Just follow your heart and trust your instincts. As long you think that you made the right desicion, it's always the right decision.
This is only my point of view, and it have worked for me and it still does.
...follow your heart. or the yellow brick road...whichever comes first. :)
all the possible descions are being made every second, so it is not fully relevant, just kick back, follow your morals, and rock on
of course I have the right answer.....becasue I "know" i'm right....
and a few hundred years ago they "knew" that the world was not only flat...but the center of all creation....
we only know the right answer till something changes it.....the only thing I truly know.....is that I will never know enough
i agree daermon. We assume something correct until its proven wrong... i think your example about the world being flat is excellent to explain it.
But i dont think every question has a deffinite answer anyway. being a law student, we are always told, no answer is right or wrong its how you argue it that makes it correct :D
There has to be a correct answer or there would be no wrong.... /----/
btw .. there are wrong answers in math or .. hmm maybe this will help explain

I think in general that the correct awnser and the right awnser are quite different....
the correct awnser is the one that get's one what they want.....
the right awnser is the awnser that does the above without harming anyone else....
the truth is the ultimate awnser but it's also ultimately unknowable unless one is omnicent....
the fact of the matter being is that we can only be as certain of a thing as we are certain of our ability to precive it....
so I guess to recap....
a person can be correct but wrong.... basicly falling short of being human by neglecting their social enviorment.
a person can be incorrect but right .... and basicly fail at being human by neglecting the input of their sences.
either of these could be veiwed as the proper thing to do depending on how one is looking at it....
Cause I'm quite certain that the gas chambers opperated for quite some time because people couldn't see that they were wrong..... but they were being correct little nazis.
Good question. some people are egocentric and in their perspective everything they say is right... if you believe that you are right SO STRONGLY... it makes you right in your perspective and definition, but what about in life?
Maybe its the people with no opinion who are right ;-)
The reason why this forum is so alive and addictive is becasue everyone has their own opinion, maybe there being no obvious right answer to this is the best possible result x x x x
I guess I am just reiterating what everyone else has been saying, but I feel the correct answer is inside of you. And with that said, I will become longwinded. As an example, my sister an I were arguing about religion, and I told her that just because one religion was where I found the truth to be for me, didn't necessarily mean she would find that same truth for her in the same place. And just because she finds her truth somewhere else doesn't mean shes wrong and i'm right, or vis versa. I guess ive said enough.
yes a very good question.......personally i dont think there is a RIGHT answer to any question i mean really its a question of morals and what u beleave in ur heart to be true and right......the answers come from within as my friend mike use to say.......nobody can tell u whats right and whats not for it is all merely an opion many pple may tell u the same thing but it is merely and opion that they all share and CLAIM to be correct when its not its what they belave morally to be "right" the right answers are what ever u feel in ur heart to be true.........hope that helped
There are correct answers to somethings......But for the things that have many answers or what not its all opinion.....not really an answer just an opinion
All correct...different opinions..
great minds all of us have!
=)
Rock on Jason.
I'm impressed with the answers I've seen so far. None of which are correct but all of which are right. *wink.
My father used to ask me all the time, "What is 2+2?" to which I would always answer "4". After my exasperation, he would always tell me I was wrong, frustrating me further. He would eventually tell me I was correct, but I was still wrong.
When I got older, not necessarily wiser, I answered the question with "2+2 is 2x2", which was followed by a chuckle from him, which meant I was closer to understanding the question.
What is my point? What is the real answer? I do not know what his is, as he still has not shared his riddle with me. But it long ago helped me understand that a question may have a correct answer, but that may not be the right answer.
Is this the same malarkey you've heard from everyone else? Yes. (This is the correct answer to my question.)

I'm sorry DarkFairy, but your question sounds a little too much like Live and let Live hippie nonsense.
Some things are right, some things are wrong. Some things are concrete, some things are mutable.
It is a person without principle and character that does not take a stand.
thruth depends of the person...
that's what i think...
even in math...
follow the thread i'm posting now!

The only Correct Answer to Any Question is the one that the Questionee... chooses to believe in... therefore i do believe that the right answer or wrong answer could be the Correct Answer... bah i know that makes no sense but that's my view on it :P
Well, on a tangent....
A man is dangling off of a cliff and is holding on with only one finger. He only has a problem if he thinks he has a problem.
However, ignorance enters the equation here. I refuse to admit there is no right answer for every question. As I've said, some things are concrete.
some things are very plain and straight forward others depend on you, right and wrong etc. There is always a right answer but you don't always have all the right questions or facts.
hey this h is hard is there a right answer to this question?^___^
there are answers to all questions the real question is who holds all the answers and who decides what answers are "correct" and will the "correct" answers ever be revealed to us
27th demon
the right and wrong answer to everything is 'huh?'
