It is common practice in certain branches of magic as seen in cabalistic, hermetic and ceremonial magic lodges to deliberately alter or make incomplete the published marital.
The reasoning was so only members of the group / lodge could perform the rituals and not someone who brought a book.
As a chaos mage im aware that most rituals as they stand don’t work.

Have any of you discovered this and how or why did you find out?

they do not work, and most chaos magic, probably most of the stuff u do urself, if u do it, will not work because once personal gain comes into play, the magic dies.. if your magic is not trully 100% good, it is bad.

Having a little knowledge of a couple of practices I noticed the same ideas and concepts only changed to be adopted or totally watered down.
As for good and bad … well that my friend would be a different debate lol

Ritual tampering is a practice I have not seen before. I can only speculate that most Pagans freely share their rituals as many are created for the moment or event. The spells however tend to be more effective if the practitioner puts as much of their personality and desires into the creation. Unaltered spells from books are not as effective unless personalized.

Most Pagan spells and rituals do not require the intense study and development required to produce High Magick rituals and spells.

wait... run that by me again? do you mean like is it possible that only a certain group can preform a certain spell b/c the spell has boundries not just anyone can preform that particular spell and u wanted to knwo if anyone ever came accross that kind of thing before? is that what ur talking about? cuz I'm a lil set back lol sorry for my ignorance on the subject I'm the student in need of some serrious knowledge it seems anyone out there willing to teach?

Chaos magic is to put it simple … take all forms of magic and break it down and rebuild and record events………… most of the time it’s a good laugh when it didn’t work and other times it’s for the strong willed. We create a thing called a servitor made by mind and dream work… programmed to do our bidding.
