Who teaches? What qualifies you to teach?

What validates ( in your observations, and experience) one person who practices a metaphysical craft, or arcanic acadiamia over another?

What should a person seeking introduction to learning to study expect
From other sources, workshops, seminars, and even book studies, and circles ?

What pit falls exist for interested people?

If you feel your ability is family related how does that ability or gift apply to you, and those around you? As a family initiated practicer does that qualify one to teach people born to ungifted parents?

I understand The Tradition ( my craft) as a heritage. At the same breathe I would refute that very statement.

I cannot teach others to practice it.

I was tutored, and apprenticed, in Tinkering, and Deduction.

One doesn't teach it in the conventional senses, but then being a but a dabbler, i wouldnt expect any more from a post you write.

You guide them on their own mistakes, standing with them as their worlds fall apart and offer them the words which came to you when yours did the same. You offer aid to their spirits when they are broken and show them how to repair themselves, and you make them ask the questions which answers themselves and provide a world of questions more then the simple ones they ask. You show them the complexities of the worlds as they exist about you. And you never teach them in such a sense, but so much as instill within them their own need to seek the answers out.

That is the job of the "teacher", to be but a guide....may you not lead yourself into death by your ignorance.

"A bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing, but a whole bunch of ignorance is far worse."

So what makes a person qualify as a "teacher", what about three day seminars?

So what if someone seeks for something to keep their world from falling apart.

How is my thread ignorant? Am I asking such profound questions? I notice plenty of direct questions go ignored in threads, while others react simply to
Challenge skeptics.

These are basic questions, are they not, perhaps you could present them in away that better suits your vaste analytical mind. Ripping the question apart
Is rather revealing, but not asking for clarity before responding is very telling.

HAHAHAHA....three day seminars...thats funny.

They are crack pots and liars. It takes months of knowing an individual, and hours getting them to spill the beans on everything from their childhood to future plans, as well as how they think day to day....that alone can take months.

What qualifies one is if they have actually gone through the events they claim to be teaching mastery of.

they prove this, by how they console the individuals during their training period. Thousands of questions, can be answered time and time again by the same methods, if the methods are worked out from experience.

I have a resume of professional tutalage i have been building since i was 15 from online forums to real time covens and guilds in the towns i have lived and traveled through. From those i get my qualifications because the situations have been there, they presented themselves.

One does learn alot in days on end, but there has to be doing, they will in no way learn anything but theory in three days on basic ideas, from there they have months of practice, and years of examination on how that thing they learned in 3 days works, and applies to their day to day. Making them more then what they are.

Thank you for clarity, how do you understand those that claim to be born with gifts/ ability?

Is the us of those abitity/ gifts ( learned by being raised by family that practices) is tutorage needed? I found proxy crafts back my craft, and that craft has social, and entertainment value.

Family trad people can all go to the burning pits of hell for all i care.

As far as i am concerned that if someone has it in their blood and claims that as special, they are worse then those who havent got it but study.

As far as those who study without expirament they are just as as bad as those who fiddle around with shit and dabble with their practices.

There is no entertainment found in the high arts, and they are better left alone if all help can be had for it. Yes they can give you want you want. But they do not give what someone needs, There is what is done in the doing of it, which are steps lost when one has it done by the arts.

Sure you can read into the mind of a man. But if you make friends with the man, you will learn how he thinks, and have someone to watch your back if you can call him friend.

Being trained to do these things is only part of it. One needs to be doing, and one needs to get their hands dirty in order to feel all of the subtle and undescribable sensations that come with the doing. Anything else is dabbling and those deserve their places on the fires, It is an insult to those who dedicate lifetimes in the persuit of the things which are greater then what the dabbler, sees at face value. Thusly should be wholey disregarded as momentary lapses in perspectives based on incomplete notions unfounded by expereinces of life, where as those moments do not stack upon themselves.

Find something beyond yourself, and beyond, playful inquiry and you might walk away with information, or something more, or you can die a painful horrid death. Either way something changes.

I never said my Craft was metaphysical in nature , my craft The Tradition is very real, my ability could be considered heritage by some, it is not blood line.

A Me not having some "deeper grasp of something so blantantly obvious, and those who lure other saps in to Dig deeper, is amusing. The books are "based on research" that one but "annonted ones" can decipher. That is all rather pointless looking back as a dabbler, perhaps I found really good teachers, ones who cut through the first you need to get had by someone
In the practice, before you learn how to take initiates.

What do I know I am only a dabbler?

exactly.

So why ask a question such as this? when that is what we all really are, to some degree. Tinkering with the unknown, hoping not to blow oneself apart in the mean time.

It wastes words.

Thats just it.

Theres no understanding. Its just you do, if it works, it works.

Goes back to "never crossing the same river twice" idea.

Thats how life is. Adaptations, change, and the means of effective manifestations. Beyond that, you can buy a copy of my book. hahaha....

Will you throw in your special blended incense?

There is a spectrum of involvement, there are those attracted to the social
Asspect, they attend expensive seminars, and retreats, the business practices of these entities need to regulated, the vague alluding pretense has to end, the consumer needs assurance, those that seek services of Occult/Arcanic practices, or seeks to be instructed in the basic studies for the field, because now the popular trend is crossing claimed practices, and clinical advertisement, both for services, and training instructions.

Watching a Person Apply The Tradition, and then watching another use that same art in deception.. That pisses my off.. Like Blaspmemy to sensible Religious people.

Some would argue my craft is not authenticalky metaphysical, but it is in part. It is open to interpretation. I have full accounts of my craft in action.

You should know by now ~Infernal~ that ~Dabbler~ is the inquisition of philosophies and ideals. He will question everything that both confuses him as well as how he thinks he should present knowledge to the world. Much like myself, save for with greater tenacity than I will ever manage with my laziness.

But to answer the question(s), I don't think the individuals that promote the seminars are equal to an actual teacher. I couldn't care less about how long they have been students of whatever educated, higher learned merit of association they have attained, or achieved.

To me, they are a bunch of individuals just in it for the adoration, popularity, money...Call it what you will.

A good teacher is there to correct mistakes that within their minds do not make sense to that which they are accustomed. The credibility does not come from the teacher, but from their students and their students alone. Other teachers of the same genre of class, are credibility enough, but the students are what make the teacher.

I am sure you both can understand this concept. Even if they did have the paperwork to back up their education levels, does not mean they are fit to teach. Hell, anyone on their best day could attain a degree in anything within a week, but this does not mean they are experianced within their craft.

Lifes experiance is fundamental when it comes to excellent grade teachers, this means that they have had several students over the years that would acknowledge the teacher as credible in all cases.

This is a thread of opinions and we are all aware of this but lets keep it friendly. We are all entitled to our beliefs and thoughts, but if we can not keep this thread decent in conversation I assure you I will close it.

I do not mean to be a party pooper but the forums is not a place for arguments. If you feel the need to argue a point take the high road and go to messages and keep the drama from the rest of VR.

The point of forum threads is to discuss topics that interest some and get others views and perspectives on said topics.

Not to be rude but I don't tolerate drama and I can honestly say the rest of the dominars won't either.

Thank you.

~CTD

well i must say that seminars must becarried by reguler practioners so that they can present their good experiences and methds to achieve it. the group of person or individuals called must be from the same stream or introductory seminar will beof no use unless the seminar conducted by phds of the concerned subjects.

Recommend everyone looks for such organizations in there home town.
The net work is world wide and well worth it

Thank you Lav, That Social Element is a very attractive thing. That also sounds like a promise of a wild night, during and after an event.

Then there are Conventions, those are collectives of smaller wild bunches bunched together.. all under a common theme/topic.

What one gets out of such things, is perhaps relavant to what one expects to get out of such things, if a persons expectations are too unrealistic, then they will not likely achieve that expectation.
