Has anybody heard the stories of the people with "no eyes". Or of "the eyeless" children?

People say that you get an uneasy feeling. Like your skin is crawling. They say that beings act nice, but if you look at their face. They have no eyes. Their eye sockets are PITCH BLACK. The feeling of unease turns to sheer terror and you bolt away from "the thing".

My step-father is a truck driver. He was in Montana at a truck stop in the middle of NOWHERE. He said it was a truck stop surrounded by empty treeless farmland. The only tree was several feet away from the parking lot. And it was PITCH BLACK outside. The only light was coming from his backlights and their not that bright. They cast a dim glow.

He has a gaurd dog for his truck and was letting the dog do his business. The dog was starting to walk towards the tree. When he stopped and snarled. The hackles on his neck stood on end. My stepfather couldn't see what was near or behind the tree. So he got a flashlight and decided to see what it was. He thought it was a cougar or a coyote.

When he shined the flashlight at the tree. What he saw scared the s#!t out of him. He said it was a woman with long black hair and she had NO eyes. He picked his dog up and threw him in the cab and sped off. He drove 60 miles to the nearest truck stop.

What do you think she was? Why are these entities eyeless?

Sounds like you're referring to the black eyed people.

These 'people' have completely black eyes. The accounts of people who encounter them state that they are filled with extreme fear and terror by the presence of them, suggesting that they are not at all 'people'. Although, this may just be due to blackness of their eyes.

An article at Paranormal.com about the 'black eyed folk'.

'Nother link about it.

Additionally, there have been two topics or so about them before, so you might find some help there.

Thanks.

My step-father wasn't tired. Although, I know what your talking about.

My grandmother is a devout Christian woman. Considers anything paranormal "demonic".

When my mom was a teenager my grandma worked at phillips 66. She said a woman and two small children came in.
And walked around for about 45 minutes. She said they gave her the "heebie-jeebies". She never saw their face.

She asked the woman if she needed help. The woman turned around and smiled. My grandma said the woman and two small children (about 5 yrs. old looking). Had NO eyes. My grandma ducked behind the counter and prayed for about 20 min. She didn't get up until she heard them leave.

I'm all for folk tales about such things, but I'm going to have to agree with twiztidcountess1979 on this one.
Tiredness does these things to you.

If you know about something, it's not to hard to subconsiously trick yourself into seeing things everywhere. Driving for long periods of time, in the night doesn't help the case either.

He wasn't tired. And even if he was, how does that explain many of the other accounts? Were those people ALL tired as well?

I just want to know what they are.

You say you want to know what they are, but whenever someone suggests that they could be no more than a figment of the imagination, you get defensive and angry. It's awfully closed-minded to refuse any answer that doesn't match your already preconceived notions that it must be "paranormal." In all likelihood, they are either/or

1: Hallucinations. People tend to see what they think other people have seen, hence the Jersey Devil sightings. The human brain also tends to recognize faces in odd patterns of light, hence the "face" on Mars. Imagine what this can do in limited light when you've been on the road for a while. Tired or not, monotony makes the brain entertain itself.

2: There really could be people with a genetic defect that gives them black eyes. What could cause this, I don't know. Is it likely? No, not really.

MBK, that second link you posted was some of the most awful nonsense I've ever read. lol.

Bloodmother- in your initial post you said it was pitch black. Therefore, the only light source on the 'entity' was the torch. Now, I'm not saying there wasn't a woman stood there, but if, for example, she had heavy makeup on, and dark brown eyes, it's perfectly possible the torchlight would have cast a shadow on her face making her seem 'eyeless'.

I'm not offering a theory either way on the whole 'black-eyed people' phenomena as it's the first I've heard of it. But I will point out that wholly black eyes can be bought off the internet...from sites which sell sclera lenses :-)

Does your dog bark at everyone? why didnt you ask her if she needs help? I mean I understand you were surprised but if she was in fact blind and alone in the feild maybe she was stranded, ya know? i was gonna say something about black eye discrimination but thats just over-the-top silliness.

Abnormalities like all black eyes occur just like albino children. Just because its in human nature to fear what you don't understand doesn't mean you have to follow the rest of the "sheep" in doing this.

It is a prank, started when Fangora Magazine sold full eye contacts. A rather old prank, nothing more then that.

Coming from the medical field one of the explanations could be New Chromosomal and Malformation Syndrome. A genetic abnormality where the code in the human genome has basically has rewrittem its own code causing a genetic change.
This was first addressed back in 1975. It is paramount to an extra chomosome that causes Down Syndrome. Or children being born with no skull or partial skulls called Ansephily, these children depending on the degree can survive to become adults.
But this is speculation at best and only one medical explaination.

The context that black-eyed people are commonly mentioned, and the sensational narratives are consistent with urban legends. I am sure one would find a section on any urban legend sight, this one particularly will likely have a more insistent amount of "convinced witnesses", likely those who were subjected to a prank involving full eye contact lens. Even a UFOologist fell for a Prank, the Trixy (Trixie) File.

There are people who tatoo eyeballs, turning them different colors, creating images, and even blacking out the entire eye.

Depections or sightings of these individuals seems to puzzle me, yet some claim a natural mutation into the black eyes, while others claim that it is only at night they have been seen.

So is this a false reflection of light on these individuals, from a point of turned face or false light hitting somthing else. much like animals.

I have seen hollywoods version of this were the kids were all white haired and black eyes.

did not know such a natural accourance has taken place.

It sounds like an interesting account and I am sure there are a lot of medical reasons for the person he saw and there is a lot of metaphysical reasons of what he saw. It really depends on how he felt and the situation that it was dealing in. I have noticed that you have said several times that he wasn't tired and if he was or wasn't really doesn't always matter. It was there, he saw it, he felt the essence of it and that is all that matters. If either you or him are curious to find out. some people can meditate to find out the reason why it was there. If he is a devout christian, he can pray and see if G-d answers him. Good Luck
