The relationship between modern vampires, fictional vampires and the connection of nocturnal habits are often in strong association with one another but how and why? Modern vampires are more less energy manipulators, they sense, intake and can give energy through the means of psychic concentration or blood yet some are quite spiritual beings. Why then are these people, mortal human beings who have a deeper sense and desire due to lack of energy replenishment feel the need to have such a fascination with the darker aspects of life and the night? Such things are in character with fictional vampires, beings that are undead and burn in the sunlight and thus they are damned to plague the cities by night, both because their alleged deformities and because it is the only time they may come out of hiding.
So what is the connection and how has it become? My thoughts are that psi. vampires being such spiritual open beings are quite subjective to taking in all types of energy, including paranormal, unknown and the regular energy they deal with every day and that being so open that when nightfall arrives there is a different type of energy that arises, the modern routine and energies of every day life and the people within them disappear and the raw and old pure forms of energy come out to play so to speak. The moon may also play role, it has been known to affect peoples minds and bodies, it may also have some thing to do with bringing energy out of hiding and it is these things that attract the psi. vampires to living a nocturnal lifestyle, it may also be the gravitational pull from the moon upon the vampires brain that opens up a path to better detect these energies and it also may be a combination of that with the raw energy and how it affects the body, soul and mind of the vampire and it makes the body either want more of this more primal energy that only surfaces at night and thus differant hours are set in the body and mind for feeding times.
For sanguine vampires it may be like a calling from their ancestors, presuming one not so much believes in classical vampires but allows themself to be open to the possibility that some thing similar existed and has been passed down through the ages in the genetic code and the night brings out the older, more natural and subconsciously comfortable ways of living. A slightly deeper analyses of this may go back to the theory of the more primal and raw type of energy that is in the air that the psi. vampyres feed upon but there is a low content of this energy like a primitive energy that is one with the body and when night fall comes those energies within the body awaken and drive the sanguine to feel just a little bit more alive.
What are you thoughts on modern day vampirism?
May the Darkness serve you well,
Lord Seth
Wow. This is a collection fo my posts over the pas two days, and yesterdays journal entry.
Modernday Vampirism is more of a lifestyle choice than an actual Medical condition...I Feed on blood..But I dont need to...If I was to stop I wouldent suddenly Die....I feed because of the sence of power it gives me..Knowing that I have completely dominated someone that they are willing me to feed on there Life energy is a most rewarding experiance.
WELL ITS TRUE!
Here is yesterdays journal entry...
"I have noticed lately a slight indescrepancy with the definition of vmampire at the Rave, and I feel that I have to say my opinion again and again, so I wanted to say my opinion, and see who agreed.
The first thing I noticed was the thread about Vlad Tepes. I can honestly say that I dont think ANYONE who is simply a mass sadist can be considered a vampire. The amount of blood spilt cannot measure vampiric tendancies, just homicidal ones.
I also dont understand why fictional vampires and real life vampires seem to be so mixed up. Obviously there is a difference between the existence of mythical vampires, and Stigoii Vi followers, HLV's or whatever orgin you want to use.
I always try to use the perspective of energy utilisation, but I cant help but feel that 'types' are starting to emerge. I was called an 'emo vamp' yesterday for daring to state that I dont think energy consumption simply comes from blood, and I find it naive to think that a vegetarian such as myself cannot be a HLV. I see consent as a state of trust, intimacy and manners, not as being egocentric enough to view the rest of the world as prey."
Hands down to Echo. I agree. I have been reading some posts where seems to be a strange sort of implicit "ranking" for types of vampires, wich is silly, in my oppinion, like if there was a need to prove who has more power, who's the meanest, bah, blah. Altough I find very interesting these informative posts. Once again, thank you for the info, LordSeth.
For those of us sensitive to the energies of the cosmos, the sun is such an overload, that the shadow of night relieves us of the 'pressure' upon our systems, allowing us to more readily interact with the the energies of our earth and moon.
And with the moon, as it affects the tides, so it does affect us, even during the daylight our to an extent, as we are mostly comprised of water and are obviously made of matter, which is affected by gravitational influence, we can be more 'alive' during the night.
The 'dark side' aspects of the soul I feel are primarily born of the psyche and the probable fact that to 'awaken' we often have to experience a breaking of the standard social conditioning, which results in a redressing of moral boundries...this is true of myself, at any rate.
For those of us sensitive to the energies of the cosmos, the sun is such an overload, that the shadow of night relieves us of the 'pressure' upon our systems, allowing us to more readily interact with the the energies of our earth and moon.
I belive thats called sun allergy :P
(mental or physical :P )
...Or photosesitivity (sp?). When there is too much Sun, some people get hyper, or extremly calm due to the prodution of seratonine, enhanced by the expusure to Sun light. On another not so pleasent context, it can give sevear head aches and irritability. Is this what you mean by overload, Stabbb? An excessive absortion of energy that's harder to control?
...yes...kind of...I love the sun, I dance for hours in it, but I do give myself sunstroke easily...I burn badly sometimes and yes, I feel like I am buzzing....like electricity...
I see..It happens to me too, the but in another way. Portugal is a very sunny country, and we often get too much sun light. When the seasons change, after a long grey winter, for instance, and sudenly there's a lot of sun my mood improoves considerablly, but by June or July I feel fed up with so much sun light and get a little grumpy. I guess one can call it overload. The fact that I'm also very photosensitive dosen't help. The light in my eyes can give head aches, and makes me feel very sleepy.
i believe somewhat that its a choice, a lifestyle, but in another way i think that you must be a special kind of person to be able to feed off the energy of others
much like witches vampires a misunderstud and a victem of hollywood
I know Tarquin... Im starting to consider getting rid of my web journal.
ok how about you just ask the question not a disertation
I don't know about most, but I have always been a night person... I am up at all hours, yet still get up moderately early, compared to most people my age... I am cursed to live both lives... Say as you will, it makes no nevermind to me...
I hear what your saying but I am a night person, i hate the day light.
Talking about piracy....
I was wrong.

This is a fresh written article that was think and write, I haven't even read over it or touched it up in the slighest so it is very raw and even draft quality but it should hopefully hold some provoking thoughts.
