There are many different kinds of dreams, so there is not one answer to what dreams mean or one explanation of the mechanics by which they occur. Some dreams are simple rehashes of mundane events and memories; some represent the working out of various things that puzzle the inner being; some are symbolic messages; some are experiences of the Collective Unconscious; and some are indeed extracorporeal experiences. These latter can take place on any number of planes, each with differing degrees of substantiality and differeing extents to which the "landscape" is also accessible by others.
I have personally had experiences of meeting other dreamers in dreams and the confirming this upon awakening and consulting with the wakeful versions of the persons with whom I met. I have also been to certain dreamscapes that others had seen, with only the slightest variation in surface detail to indicate our varying personal perception of the objective setting.
I think that more often than not, the dreams that involve objective "dreamscapes" involve not an actual transport of the dreaming astral body through dream-space, but rather a shift of focus from certain surface aspects of reality to deeper layers. Think of standing outside a building on a sunny day and looking through a window to a dimly lit interior. At first, your eyes stop at the sunshine on the glass--that is like the waking reality. As the sun fades, though, your eyes can adjust and focus on a different, underlying reality (the room inside, beyond the glass).
Hummm so if now is a dream .I need to wake the hell up.Cause when i was awake last night . It felt like a dream and a good one .
Omg that is deep on so many levels.. I really hope i am not dreaming and my dreams are truly reality.. I dunno if we go to the dream world or not but gives you something to think about.
maybe our whole life is a dream and we are not really here
dreams to me are a window. A window to past, present, future. A window to another dimension, a window to another persons mind, a window to an animals mind. I believe dreams are every possibility no matter how crazy it gets.
Some dreams are a warning, some are a vision, some are imagination of a story you could create, a great story. Look at how Sephen King did his movies...he dreamed them all.
So, dreams are many things. And have many interpretations.
I have a goal, I am learning how to dream walk. So I have learned a lot about dreams.
I ve tried that before like to learn ..I think i did it on accident once . ive been in a bird ..oh yeah i almost forgot that was creepy.
My neighbor has dreamed walk in me. It was so real I asked my roommate if my neighbor came over at all, she said, that he did but we didn't know it. He passed out on our front porch. Then I realized he accidently dreamed walked in me and somehow I was able to connect and know that he was there seeing my dream.
There have been other times where if someone ends up thinking of me a lot and I think of them around the same time, that night I'll end up walking into their dreams and we have something similar going on. I usually don't remember my dreams right away when I dream walk. I'm in the process of keeping a dream journal to try to help me remember.
If i could dream walk id probably attempt to end world destruction by way of violence and wars between all. Id attempt to find all leaders of any foul regime, and destroy them. but if i die in my dream cause im fighting wrong doers i dont want do die in real life so now im stuck with a decision to make i guess about what id want to do................
I use dream walks as an adventure. It's fun to discover new things.
All things are possible inside the human mind. It is still the greatest unexplained evolution of thought process to this day.
Dreams can be great or our worst nightmares.
dreams are interpeted. many countless books on the subject and on astral journeys. Ive had dreams of places i have never been and some of the dreams i dont look like me or sound like me and have been called by another name but somehow i knew it was me. do we go somplace when we sleep? i think so. too many have dreams that cant be discounted. i have been in places i know i was never physically there but they are familiar to me. and could tell you about the place. as i said. never was physically there. the science of dreams are perfect. and many books out there that will interpet them. but if we are pure energy. energy never dies. its an interesting question. where does it go?
I love love what Roma said due to the fact it is very true the mind evolves and we dont know what they will find next and what we are capable.
when i sleep i have astroplaned before, to friends or other rather bezar places. I set my image as something different you would see out of the dream scape. my signature is tatted on my right shoulder and will always show. yet i don't try and astroplane cause i find that their are too many negative beings out their trying to share energy with me. and being a giant fan of feeding of loads off energy whether from the spiritual plane or physical plane i tend to stop myself from astroplaning
Last night I just had a dream actually. I don't know if it was my memory or someone else's or something to come.
But What I remember is I heard voices say, "vroom vroom boom" and then a flash of an accident happened, a car accident. Someone died. I don't know if it was me or someone else, or if I was driving or if I was in someone else's memory.
It's weird. I have been in accidents when mom drives, back when I was a kid, ever since then and ever since I started driving I never once hit anything or had an accident, I'm a safe driver. So I'm not sure if it's a memory or what not.
But it's something. I might ask my mom about it, to see if it's one of her memories. And it's too modern to be a past life memory.
