Don't subscribe to Demons? Poof no demons, I only people who subscribe to demons, that want you to be scared with them exist.
Relative to settling fears is it not ideal to release ones self from captive beliefs?
I have slain Boogy Men personally for a few of my friends kids, their fears where bolstered by tales from older cousins.
My friends kids now have a counter to such taunts ( taunts that the other children know to be untrue ie they know there is no boogy man, they see the tale they once believed as a way to perpetuate their one time fear on others)
" I blew up the Boogy Man!"
Well, if anyone wants to be free of certain beliefs there is a whole host of information out there, it's really as simple as that.
Is there anyone here that wants to be free of any particular beliefs, be interesting to hear from them ?
Actually i have seen things throughout my life that some could classify as demons without so much making sure that's what they were but i found myself getting angry from the fear of them that i boldly said aloud to stop waking me, stop and leave me alone! After saying it, never had that problem again.
Also when it comes to certain legends i still have a small fear of saying bloody mary in the bathroom in the dark. i have this uncanny belief that one can truly conjure up something if they believe in it enough.
S0RVENA > Do your beliefs make you unhappy ? Do they trouble you so much you wish you did not believe as you do ?
I wouldnt say beliefs are meant to make one unhappy. If that is the case, then perhaps it needs to be changed in some form or at least dealt with on a personal level as to WHY it is bothersome. They do not make me unhappy but rather whatever fears i may have based on what i do believe in, are just simply something showing me that anything is possible with a certain intent, the good and not so good.
In a way that is the line ( often ambiguous) between rational, and irrational.
There are people who propagate fears with the intent of promoting there counter to that fear. Example " fear demons?" " Be blessed by my [ insert practice]".
Sov' I agree the phyce can be rather convincing.
I personally practiced as a Geist, even though the majority of the time people after being told they witnessed an effect made to appear as Geist activity. There are still those who enter hyper dissassociation like states.
Impressionsble people are at the mercy of those who thrive off of scaring people, as mentioned often to be the " hero" in overcoming fabricated fears.
I'm with Sorvena, usually deal with fear by getting angry: Bring it on Demon!
I exercise my demons.. usually some intense cardio- followed by ripper reps
30-20, just holding the burn to a steady simmer.. Then.. a few lapsin the pool.
I must say that I like that aproach. With that amount of workout you should be ripped.
I never fear any deamons as long as I keep going to the gym. The gym grants me with good nights of sleap and good confidence
It is said to overcome your fear that you must face it. I suppose it would depend though upon what fear it is. As far as demons...all that one has to do is look inside of ourselves and we will find what fear the most.
I fully Agree with Velvet Passion, you may adapt a talisman for simulier effect .
Yes you could have a talisman to help fight your fear but a talisman is only as good as the belief or faith that is put into it.
you know if you think about it the devils is just the boogie man right? (theres nothing in your closet either)
The look on a childs face when they hear, " You just blew up the Boogie Man!" is better then watching a child learn there is no Santa.
There's an old belief that a demon is also an angel. Think yin/yang. The demon is its dark face. How to make them go away? Ask them to leave.
