I have been looking up Urban legends and I have found that some myths are based in true. The most recent one I have been reading about is human combustion. Can I get some feedback on your thoughts and beliefs on this matter?
Not much is known on this, it is a theory of the inside heat reaching mass of a body. vairiables come into effect water and air. A myth that is still being studied.
Urban legends...
the problem is that they begin as myths, and it takes alot- in many cases impossible- to convince the public that it is in fact real.
Damn close- mindedness...
That is true vampchica4 but can you explain the documented proof that this has occurred
There are four threads relating to this "urban legend" and are found here:

While a couple of the top links are on the RIP list, they still provide feedback regarding this subject. I would do a forum search on the subject as there are several other threads relating to the subject, but not by the title of "combustion" itself.
I would do the extra research if I were truly interested in providing a bit of accurate info regarding this subject.
Well, apparently they're old and boring threads. If they're not getting attention.
I don't know if I believe in " spontaneous human combustion" .
But here's the definition from wiki:
Spontaneous human combustion (SHC) is a name used to describe cases of the burning of a living human body without an external source of ignition. There is speculation and controversy regarding SHC - some regard it as a unique and currently unexplained phenomenon, while others feel that cases described as SHC can be understood using current generally-accepted scientific principles. There are about 200 cited cases[1] worldwide over a period of around 300 years; however, most of the alleged cases are characterised by the lack of a thorough investigation, or rely heavily on hearsay and oral testimony. In many of the more recent cases, where photographic evidence is available, it is alleged that there was an external source of heat present (often cigarettes), and nothing occurred "spontaneously."
Here's the link if you want to read further on it:

Are there really alligators and crocs in the NY sewer system?
They were all the rage when I was a kid in Texas. Parents actually bought these "pets" for their kids. Most ended up being flushed down the toilet.
Hence the sewer urban myth.
~Bloodmother 1~, this would be your opinion that threads are old and boring. A couple of the threads delivered a que of information. I would call them boring by no means. Old, yes... Boring, no. This is my perspective as a research and analysist.
Vampchica please refrain from calling people closed minded. The phrase is two way it can be used in cases of people that hear alleged SHC explained yet still cling to the myth, whats the reason? I venture to mystify ones peers, with an antique urban legend. What documents is the threads author talking about? I heard if you don't fart at least one time in three days you would explode, but that's not shc.
whether or not Myth or Urban legends are real or not doesn't matter much, they keep us fasinated to the potential possibilities.
Before exploration of other continents was possible, if someone showed a picture of lets say an Elephant from Africa to someone, they would has passed it off as Myth and superstition as well, but they did and do exist.
Who knows when then next Myth Buster will recover actual proof of something deemed Myth or Legend and bring it historically into fact.
Imagine what hidden secrets lie at the bottom of the ocean buried in time waiting to be discovered.
The crocodiles might be supernatural. There has been speculation that they're angels punished for their failed mission to earth, condemned to swim in the effluvium of earthlings forevermore. Also that they might be poltergeists of emo teens, and possibly even demon guardians to the gateway to hell. Scientists and adventurers have failed to bring back one single specimen, but with the deforestation and growing aridity in Africa, there is a renewed effort afoot to capture one of the ghostly crocs for its DNA in the hope of reinvigorating native stock.

Here are some urban legends based on true events.

i am sure there are some urban legends that are true- they have got to come from somewhere and the possibilty of it actually happening to someone can be true. but then again maybe not.
