just out of curiosity....does anyone know what the oldest vampire house or coven in history is?

I'm not sure about this one, but I believe the oldest(and this is quite modern) House in existance is House Sahjaza..which I think was formally House Sabretooth. Like I said, just a vague recollection..may not be wholly accurate.

I'll add that, as far as covens go, this is impossible to know. It is certain, however, that many smaller groups practicing vampirism existed before tha Sanguinarium took root. But there really is no documentation that I know of to the effect.

there is the tzimisce think they have existed for quite a while

tzimisce Clan is from the old White Wolf Game called Vampire the Masquerade.

As for what MRD and Stabb have refured to, yes Sabertooth and the other house are the first two modern houses still running since their opening way back when.

The most Eldest Clan is not the Tzimisce, they are actually the fourth the first is actually the Ventrue which sounds like a contridiction do to the history and how it all started but that is the actual first clan

Sabertooth actually started in the 17th century right after the turmoil with the Gangrel disputes
