i love the theory of being able to switch into the twilight to be able to do evil and hunting

Yeah, it`s "Nightwatch", I`ve seen it, good effects, not very good script, it would be better if the story were more understandable. We were four watching the film and none of us understood completely everything...

My friends and I will be watching it this weekend, so I'll repost and let everyone know.
I understand that this is actually a trilogy, so I would imagine that not everything will be explained in this installment. Can't give everything away...

Mmm... maybe you`re right, and watching the other two it`s necessary for understanding, but dunno, the first one didn`t cause a very good impression on me...

you might be right, but i loved the idea of the twilight and the vampyres ability to see every bloodvain in it´s victims body

Hmm, I haven't seen the movie yet but from what I saw in a trailer and pics it still lives from the old stereotypes and the technological athmosphere that matrix created.

I won't judge the movie until I've seen it but my first distant impression wasn't that spectacular.

I might be proven wrong though so I'll give it a fair chance as soon as the DVD is rentable here.

I started a post on this movie a few weeks ago and it got moved to the "sandbox" section so I killed it.

Anyway, my friend saw it in Vegas and liked.

It is supposed to be the mot expensive Russian movie ever made and the director is a big fan of Wachowski brothers of Matrix fame.

lol, it was clear that if and when the russians were to invest that much money into a movie they'd orient themselves after matrix, hehe

I know I might sound like a twit, but isn't that German ? >.

It's a completely Russian production, the story is Russian, the producers are Russians, the director is a Russian and practically the entire cast is Russian.

The title German co-title 'Wächter der Nacht' (Guardians of the night) must have got something to do with the storyline but the movie is definately not a German production.

Ah, well I saw Der nacht and I know that's German >..

I liked the movie, I've got the first two, night watch and dusk watch. It did take me a little bit to put things together and get what was happening but still, cool stuff

I'm looking forward to it but the strong matrix influence kind of turns me off, though matrix is a true masterpiece i can't stand stolen athmospheres

This film will be released on dvd in the U.K. on April 24th.

hhmm look forward to this, sounds much like watching the screan is not as good as seeing into the thoughts of the director.

I dunno...I didn't see so much of the matrix influances...maybe I'm just weird.

I've not seen the movie yet but i'm dying to, i've read the book, by SERGEI LUCHENKYO*Sp
I know that it is the first installment of a trilogy and that day watch will be out in the cinemas later in the year and thats like the reversal of nightwatch you see it from the other sides POV and then the last one is called twilight watch!!
Nightwatch is out in the UK day after my birthday will be a great present ^_^
