Hello, Everyone:
I wish to ask if anybody here has ever made contact with their guardian angel, and if so, a) How it was done and b) If the experience proved useful.
Feel free to either respond here or send me a message. Thank you.
If that is one's belief then wouldnt it stand to reason that their guardian angel is with them always? In contact ,saving them from close calls etc...? It is said that there are daimons who link man and the divine because humans cannot understand the language of angels or God.And that they leave us little messages in the things around us via one manifestation or another in our everyday lives,so in the end,it is always beneficial to us.Just thining about them and knowing they are there is a comforting thing,is it not?
So when I think about your question, why would anyone feel the need to contact something that is always supposed to be there anyway. To validate one's belief or faith?
Oceanne answered it best.
Your Guardian Angel is always with you.
I don't believe you have to contact it
It with you everyday and night.
It is not up to the individual to contact their guardian angel, the angel always contacts the individual if and or when the time becomes right.
Other then that, if one wishes to force and introduction then I would search for books in relation to the subject matter discussed.
Wow, by Asking the question, we must get into the subject of religion, which is a "tough cookie" to elaborate. Angels, for most of the majority of the people, don't exist. The first time that many humans hear the word "angels" was in the Bible, which is the number one book of the Catholic church. Now, if every Human have an Invisible Guardian Angel, my opinion, that Angel is not doing the job when come to Situation, were the Human, will be harm. So, in conclusion, I don't think that nobody can contact an entity called GUARDIAN ANGELS.
We use religous references because it is a way of communicating a certain thing that other beliefs might not have a name for or is in a different language etc..
ALL religions are simply different versions of the SAME story. It should never offend if someone is simply talking about an entity in one terminology or another. It still refers to the same energy or entity. So really, lets get over that point and move on whether someone chooses to call it a guardian angel or a bulldog bouncer. That way we can get to talking about the things that count.
markus666 everyone has a free will.
Did you ever have that gut feeling not to do something and you did? It turned out not as planned...it turned out bad.
The question here is pretty simple; he's asking if anyone has ever seen or talked or otherwise encountered their guardian angel-I don't think he's asking if you believe, or how much religious dogma or theology there is on the subject. I myself believe in angels, because, although theres no tangible proof of their existance, theres no proof that they DON'T exist either.I like having an open mind. Startproblem meiner Meinung nach, und ich bin es fest.
Chule H'ou.
Your angel always has advice for you, it's a matter of being open to it. There are gut feelings sometimes when you are about to do something that will violate your own morality, but some of the smaller tasks and details that are still important will be lost if you don't open yourself.
Every person has what is called the 'second mind'. It's your subconscious, the part of you that wanders when you want to be still. People will tell you to fight it, but this is a bad decision. Your thoughts are stronger than you are, because they are closer to your core. They decide where your energy goes. The trick is to sit down and let them run their course, wait for them to get tired.
If you fight your thoughts, they will jump up again in the middle of your operation. This could create an end that is very unfortunate. Consider your meditation a buildup of energy, made into a spell by wherever your thoughts take you when they show up.
Once your mind is tired, you are free to be open. There is a way to see your angel, but i'll let you figure it out for yourself.
By this point in the meditation, you are free to speak, and your angel will converse with you through yourself.
You can talk to your angel by talking to yourself by this point, unafraid that you're making it up because the only part of you that is interested in doing that is far too tired to do so.
"The question here is pretty simple;"
Yes,I think we got that Cooly. And our answers are pretty simple too, which I have gathered, the answer so far is no..At least not in the direct sense of talking to one. There are a couple of reasons as to why that could be included.
Simple.:)
My first real contact with my Spiritual Guide was rather shocking. He woke me up by shaking my foot. And before they nay-sayers jump in, I was the only person home and don't own any pets. Nor had there ever been paranormal activity before.
I happened to see a psychic artist that day on a whim with some friends and she told me that he had been trying to contact me but I kept blocking him. So when I went to sleep that night I followed her advice and talked to him like I would if someone was standing there in the room with me.
After that I will even now get a tap on the shoulder or a hand on the shoulder and I know its my spiritual guide. It mostly happens while meditating.
What some call their guardian angel I call a guide.
My answer is yes I have talked to them before, I find the best way is by simply being quiet, asking a question or just saying hello in my mind.
There are those who offer classes in such things, each to their own, but my view is why pay money when it's so simple to do it yourself ?
Guides come and go according to our needs and understanding, it is for us to live our lives and make our own decisions.
SuicideDoll - It sounds like your question may be more along the lines of, am I losing faith? Is it worth it to believe in my guardian angel? These questions I CAN answer. As far as contacting the guardian angel, I believe mine is my Grandma who died when I was 17 and I do not want to disrupt her slumber.
Anyway, faith is the act of believing in something even though you have no proof that it is real. Either you believe or you don't. If you do believe that you have a guardian angel, that should be enough to keep you strong. You can talk to your guardian angel. Just because they don't answer back with words doesn't mean that they aren't listening or that they don't answer you at all.
It is worth believing in your guardian angel. With the faith of a guardian angel comes a sense of security and safeness. Don't ever lose your faith sweetie. You're on the right path.
I believ our guardian angels are always with us.I also believe I have not one,but three.
My guardians are less celestial, and more cerebral.
All the latent advice, and cautious proverbs spoken to me by mentors, and elders when I was a wee lad, at the time such wise input may not have been received cognatively, but the synspsis was developed.
Untapped natural instinct factors in as well.
As someone mentioned already " gut reaction" that " sense" that something may occur as a result of an action, or inaction, reinforced by those subconscious latent " voices".
Guardian Angels.....ethereal beings who we feel and sometimes see....who snatch us from the brink of disaster and give us subtle advice.....who watch over us while we go about our mundane activities......what a wonderful concept! And a VERY difficult one to tackle on a paranormal website, I might add, even though the concept has been in the supernatural spectrum since ancient times. However, today Angels are inherently a highly religious phenomenon, and the implied concept of Angels is indirect communication with God himself.
The concept of Guardian Angels has likely been around since the dawn of mankind. It is a concept that has been embraced in some form by virtually every religion since the beginning of religion itself. The modern day depictions of winged beings sitting on clouds and playing harps comes to mind in pretty much all of us when we think of our Guardian Angel, or of Angels in general. In the mainstream psyche, we generally equate Guardian Angels as a spiritual being with our best interests at heart who's purpose is to serve us without interfering with our free will. The modern marketplace solidifies this with angel statuettes, jewelry, wall hangings, plaques and every kind of Angel paraphernalia imaginable at every turn. Classic movies involve Angel themes, most notably in "A Wonderful Life" where an Angel gently shows a mortal man the positive impact he has had on the lives of others, thus turning his own life around.
So what are Guardian Angels? Are they real? Are they figments of our collective imaginations? Are they something in the realm of paranormal like ghosts? Is there any proof that they exist? Are they agents of God? Can we see them? What do they look like? Can we talk to them?
WHAT ARE GUARDIAN ANGELS?
There are several different trains of thought on this matter so here goes...
Guardian Angels are Sent by God to Guide and Protect: This is by far the most prevalent theory today, and no proof is needed by those who embrace this concept. It's simply a matter of faith. The Bible actually says very little specifically about Guardian Angels, other than little kids may be more attuned than we are....
Matthew 18:10 states, "See that you do not look down on one of these little ones. For I tell you that their angels in heaven always see the face of my Father in heaven."”
Indeed, little kids in their innocence probably provide more anecdotal evidence of Angels or Guardian Angels than all adults combined. This is significant religious-wise and spiritual-wise. Once we get older, it seems we are no longer open to or aware of the possibility of a Guardian Angel, and in and of itself this is testament for how hardened and jaded we become spiritually as we age. But is the Bible really referring to little kids? It could be we are all little kids in God's view - otherwise no adult would ever experience the sensation of seeing their guardian Angel. In many religions, Guardian Angels are not directly related to us, but rather are entities that have never lived human life. They are wise, pure, compassionate, and non-judgmental. They can guide, but cannot interfere with our free will. Often, they are portrayed as lower-echelon beings in the heavenly hierarchy, as opposed to more powerful Angels such as the Archangels. As such they are intermediaries or messengers between us and our Creator. They inhabit a higher plane of existence than we do, and have abilities to morph into many forms, including the human form when necessary. Each Angel is assigned to one of us at birth to guard us and look out for our best interests, regardless of how we conduct our lives. They see the good in us whether or not we believe in them or live pure lives, and they accompany us to our heavenly destination after death. Encountering one's Guardian Angel is a life-changing experience, and for those who have, their existence is a matter of pure faith with no other proof needed. Those who truly believe claim that they can simply call on their Guardian Angel and a response will come if they watch for it, such as finding an open book with a passage that relates to the problem.
Guardian Angels are Deceased Relatives Who Watch Over Us: Many people who have had encounters with Guardian Angels report the distinct feeling that the Angel was not a stranger at all and that it was a recognizable deceased relative. This is a comforting theory on several levels, as it implies life after death and a continued relationship with our loved ones even after they are gone. Various polls actually seem to indicate that slightly more people perceive their Guardian Angels as being close family members than unidentified heavenly beings. Who better to watch out for our best interests than someone who knows us well, like a parent or grandparent? There are many stories of people perceiving a close family member shielding them in a car crash or warning them of impending danger. One thing is crystal clear - we all form strong bonds in this life that likely do transcend the bounds of this earthly existence, and whether or not we become Angels for those who remain after we die, those bonds are tangible and everlasting. It is therefore definitely a possibility that the Creator would give chosen relatives the power to intervene in our lives in some circumstances.
Guardian Angels are a Projection of Our Higher Selves: We all think we know ourselves, but our actual selves are much more complex than we think. This is the concept of the soul and of spirituality. We all sometimes feel and think things that are outside the bounds of what we have experienced in our existence on this plane, suggesting that there is more to us than there appears on the surface. As you exist now, you are but a small part of a much larger and more complex being. You have higher selves and lower selves, all existing within the same soul. Some refer to it as being "multidimensional" or as existing on "different vibrational planes." As it pertains to Guardian Angels, in this scenario, you would be your own Guardian Angel, with all the resources necessary. The help and knowledge that your Angel extends to you would actually come from within your own vast inner knowledge and wisdom that lies untapped in your daily life. Your higher self is attuned to your situation and knows what is best for you. This is the essence of a very complex concept that is discussed in more detail on other areas of this site and won't be repeated here.
Guardian Angels are in the Here and Now - They are People Who Come and Go Throughout Our Lives: We've all experienced it - we are in a mess and can't find a way out when someone comes into our lives and provides the solution. Sometimes they stay and sometimes they don't, but they etch a place in our memories and are never forgotten. We have to move away momentarily from the purely religious implications of Guardian Angels to process this concept, and there are other sources with intriguing ideas on the subject.
In the Jane Roberts/Seth material, Seth states "The teachers within your system are those in their last reincarnation, and other personalities who have left the system but have been assigned to help those still within it. The system also includes some fragment personalities that are entering for the first time, as well as those in later reincarnations." This is a far-reaching statement that tends to ring true. We all know people who are spiritually or intellectually superior to us, and we all know people who are spiritually or intellectually inferior to us. The most memorable people in our lives beyond our own families are usually those on the extreme ends of this spectrum, either good or bad. Essentially, all the people in our lives are in our lives for a reason, and the ones who change us and help us grow are the ones who knowingly or unknowingly act as our Guardian Angels. They are Angels in human form, and even if one thinks of Angels as purely ethereal heavenly beings or as deceased relatives looking after us, there's still room for the possibility that the phenomenon could manifest in the here and now and in the people we encounter in our day-to-day life. In fact, the Bible refers to this very thing with regard to our Angels: "Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it."
CAN WE TALK TO OUR GUARDIAN ANGELS?
By all accounts, yes, regardless of which theory above you happen to subscribe to. There are literally millions of accounts of people talking to their Guardian Angels, many even by name. Obviously, if someone you know is knowingly or unknowingly acting as your Angel, you are already talking to them without even realizing it. But for the vast majority who subscribe to the spiritual, ethereal nature of Angels from heaven, there is a lot of advice out there about how to contact them and ask for help. Many people feel that those lucky coincidences we all experience in life are the results of little nudges from our Angel. For instance, deciding to stop at a store you don't usually go into and finding a 20 dollar bill in the parking lot. The consensus seems to be that Angels can give us hints and omens, but will stop short of interfering with free will. Even if you have never asked for help specifically, you may get it anyway through sudden insights or coincidences. However, if you do consciously ask for help, you should make yourself open to the answers, which may come in a variety of ways. You might see something in print, such as in a book or newspaper or even on a truck or bus or billboard. Someone might offhandedly say something that gives you the answer or you might see on TV or hear it on the radio. Generally, find a quiet place and ask, and then watch for signs. The word "Angel" literally means "Messenger." Pay attention to your own messages - it's just that simple.
WHAT DOES A GUARDIAN ANGEL LOOK LIKE?
The Bible doesn't really say all that much about what Angels look like, but most often portrays them as taking on a human form (mostly men), sometimes indistinguishable from other humans. Sometimes they have wings and sometimes not, and sometimes their appearance is so shockingly bright that they frighten those who see them. Other forms are mentioned too, such Angels appearing in a burning bush or in a tower of clouds or fire. From all the Bible accounts, the inference is that Angels can take on whatever form that suits their purposes. In practical life, most of us will never see our Angel materialize, nor will we hear our Angel speak. Our proof will be in the omens and signs we see after asking for help in a pure and unselfish way.
As a last word, your Angel probably won't help you pick winning lottery numbers or get revenge on someone who has wronged you, because those are selfish pursuits. But for those who wish to enrich their lives, or who are depressed or hopeless, or have a big problem with no obvious way out, a little talk with your Guardian Angle might just give you the tools to live a richer, happier life!

The Bible has a weird schizophrenic way of depicting angels. Sometimes they’re bloody dealers of God’s vengeance, sometimes they’re the divine equivalent of a singing telegram. Well, all of that could probably be chalked up to the fact that God moves in mysterious ways, of course.
Looking for angels in the Bible is pretty easy. Angels show up in the Bible from Genesis onwards, as to be expected from God’s favored messengers. The Old Testament has a cornucopia of these angel sightings. Angels of the Lord in the Old Testament were pretty much a mixed bag of encounters. Abraham, the patriarch of the Jewish nation, had quite a few encounters with angels: the angels who were on their way to destroy Sodom and Gommorah passed by his house and he managed to wrangle a deal out of them.
An angel also stopped him from sacrificing his son Isaac to the Lord on Mount Moriah. Jacob, Abraham’s grandson has the dubious honor of wrestling with an angel for an entire night. For his trouble, Jacob got renamed into Israel. An angel was next mentioned as the cause of the death of Egypt’s first-born during the era of Moses’ Exodus. The pillar of fire that guarded and guided the Israelites when they left Egypt has also been often interpreted as an angel.
Angelic intervention for the Israelites pretty much continues through the Old Testament. Several prophets like Ezekiel and Daniel recorded their encounters with them. An interesting fact is that Daniel is supposed to be the person who has had most contact with angels in the Old Testament, having been saved twice by them. An angel is also the main character of the Book of Tobias, where the angel Raphael goes out and pretty much does the Hollywood angel thing about a two thousand five hundred years early: he fixes the lives of Tobias, Tobit and Sarah, making everyone live happily ever after.
The New Testament isn’t empty of angels either. Actually, the entire thing starts with an angel announcing someone was going to be born. In Luke’s version, the message is to Zacharias, telling him that his son, John the Baptist was to be born. Later, Mary gets some happy news of her own. Joseph, Mary’s husband encountered angels himself. Three times to be exact – the first, to convince him of his marriage; the second, a warning for him and his family to leave Egypt, and the last, to return to Israel.
And, of course, how can we forget all of the angels appearing in several versions of the Nativity. Angels also appeared through out Jesus’ life. When he went into the desert to be tempted by the Devil, angels provided him with comfort and nourishment. An angel was waiting for the women at his tomb on the third day, telling them about his resurrection.
Angels also continually appeared after Jesus’ ascension into heaven, providing his disciples with the occasional help. It should also be noted that the foundations of modern Angelology is partially based on the apostle Paul’s letters to the Ephesians and the Colossians. And let’s not forget about all of the angels showing up in the book of Revelations.
Angels can be seen through out the Bible doing God’s work and it’s all pretty impressive. So if you want to know any more about them, no need for all of those fancy angel books. Just open that old Bible and read.

Yes to your question,I have been contacted 3 times by my guardian angel as a child. The first incident occurred when I was five years old.I was upon a raft on a beach, when I fell off,I did not know to swim, out of nowhere,a stranger picked me and carried me to the shore.and sat me down on the sand.A group people gathered around to see if I was ok,and when they turned around to thank him.He was gone,no one knew him or saw him again. The second incident occurred when I was 11 years old.My brother and I were racing home on our bikes from the store. When I took a short cut,and soon as I did to cross the street,a speeding car hit me,but before it could actually hit me,I felt arms pick me up.Needless to say the bike in total ruins. The third incident occurred when I was 12 years old I was climbing a tree(I was tomboy).I had reached the very top,as I sat on a branch, the branch broke. As I was free falling,I felt warm arms catch me,and lowered me down,at the same time,I looked up,and saw a bright light with wings behind it.Do I know guardian angels exist, from experience I most definitely say yes.
a Guardian Angel is always with you and hears you.
I use an Angel board if the need to know something is strong enough of required guidence.
Okay, I don't think he was looking for the definition of a Guardian Angel. The discussion was, should he attempt to contact the guardian angel and can it be done?
Only Guardian Angel i've ever meet came in the form of my dad's belt lol. He said he was protecting me from futur stupidity -rubs bum- .... can't really say he was a good angel or that the "guardian" worked well >:P
