While doing research for a new thread to enter into “imagesinwords” competition,
Re: -General Forum.
I happened across a unique character. Their story is below, parts of which are from an interview. With the main body of text made up from the bases of the story, the person presented to me.
PheaR: What made you decide to change you genre of writing in the first place?
M.S.: Life experiences mostly. I have always been fond; rather I have a passion to push
the boundaries.
PheaR: From what you have told me so far. Pushing the boundaries in this case is pretty
much an understatement would you agree?
M.S: At first glance would have to agree. I personally do not perceive it, a great
challenge. There undeniably will initially be those, unwilling to accept this new
presentation of the race. After all novelists have only added further to the
specifics, laid down by the scriptwriters of movies, and vice versa.
PheaR: How will you introduce this new direction?
M.S: If you are asking, will the introduction be a slow transition or more direct.
I pondered the start many times. And settled on a combination of, what I call
STAR (same time awakening recounts)
PheaR: Without giving away to much, would you care to give a basic brief as to were
your books may lead in the new visual presentation of the race?
The Romantic Vampire, the Fearful Vampire, the Clans along with the many wars, enemies, friends and foes. For the reader, researcher and those generally intrigued as to the mystery of the Vampire and Vampirism have all been told.
Now it has come to a point were, the only difference from one story to the next, is simple introduction of a new character/s and a change of visual setting. Leaving pretty much the outcomes predictable.
The plan here is to re-introduce the old and current style of Vampire into a modern World. A World were they still strive to conceal, and do have their friends and foes. The main difference though, is the purpose and direction of the Race.
This direction being one of power, one of knowledge one of resource. Basically the Big Brother syndrome is pushed aside, in favor of the Vampires coming of age.
This coming of age, awakens them to strive to educate humans and help guide them to a further, greater purpose of existence.
One of the main changes in characterization, would be the acceptance of the various types of Vampires. No longer will there be a main player, such as a blood drinker. Vampires will also be well known as Psy, Soul stealers and by all the known researched types. So in summing up, the age of darkness shall move closer to the light of reality.
M.S. can be found on Vampire Rave, by those lucky enough to happen to stop for a chat.
Hope you have enjoyed this post, which has added more fuel for thought, as to were Vampires may be in the future and what roles they be involved in.
And for those that enjoy the current Vampire style, I am assured by M.S. there will always be room for flashbacks or possibly a warring Gathering not wishing to follow the new ways.
Cheers all
PheaR
excellent..thank you soo much..and indeed...I did enjoy this post!!!
Ok this brings several questions to my mind.
First the relevance of MS- are they a writer? Is this in discussion of a book that will be about vampires? It does seem that this is the case, but it is not clear.
Is MS claiming to be a vampire? Again not clear.
What is it that you wish to discuss by this?
Is it the idea that vampires are guardians/teachers to man?
Or are you wanting to the discussion to go more towards the spiritual aspects of vampires?
I'm sorry, I guess I'm just lost by this posting.
Is it the idea that vampires are guardians/teachers ???
Yes i thing vampyrism is teaching us to survive someday if we have to.
