Tales of large black figures being sighted around dissasters have existed for centuries .
The qeustion I intend to present is why the sightings of these things have increased over the last century
The most well documeted sighting of these things was brought to world knowlage as the mothman,but I see these things everywhere. and there are more of them as time gose by
Dose anyone share my theory that these dark prophets could be warning us of the inevitable doom of our planet

i believe that they are deaths dark guardians that come to take the souls from the deas bodies after a disaster. they are there to clean up humanities big messes

i have heard of mothman and all of those stories of the like. and i agree that something like that exists... as for what its trying to say.. that i do not know. i definately on a personal level feel like something is going to go down with the planet... esp the US (i think starting with the US)

I had looked up mothman years ago when i had first seen the movie, and i learned that the government tried to cover everything up saying that there was an explosion in the plant(or factory) and it let out fumes adn people were hallucinating and dying. The gov will do anything to cover things up.

I think it's just a very smart living thing trying and obviously succeeding in not being discovered

I dont belive that theyare living in the way we live or percive life, or that thier intelligence can be measured in any human way. Nor are they undiscovered since many people have seen them....

they have seemed to mutply becaus we every day cause another problem so yes they are warning of of our ending but it is only the ending that we are creating

Ive heard of this through websites but ive never seen one myself. Im not at all surprised that the govt wouldnt want this to get out...Just like Area 51 years ago when it was leaked that it existed. They tried to cover it up & play it off..... Now because everyone knows about Area 51 they relocated it so they can keep whatever is going on under wraps for fear of people finding out what really goes on.. I however need to read up more on mothman & get more updated on it....

im with you on mothman that they are "alive" in there on way but not as me and you breath air or all that good humany stuff. and i do belive that there is somethen that comes to get us when we die, i dont know what, though ive all ways seen a dark figure when ive been near death in the corner on the room.

and i can see why the government would cover up this and other unknown things to us....wear humans. no matter what way we see are selves we are human, flesh and blood. and we would take it the wrong way, i mean i would freak if i found out that the ufos where real and bigfoot did really walk the earth. it would make the other people in the world flip out, make world wide distress.

and they would revolt on the government, and in some ways there doignthere job for onces. keeping us safe from what could hurt us, whats more deadly then are selfs?

Well, there has been different accounts of this, there is a lot of stuff that has happened but most of the freakiest has happened in norther Wiscounsin, Michigan or the UP, Upper Minniasota and Canada.... Bearwalks is a famous name, very common in the Indian tribes and they are deathly scared of them..... I have seen one or two but just glimpses....

There are many things that get covered up...

The mothmen may well be "grim reapers," as they are here to collect souls and take them to their next state of being.

um for one luvy i do not have a closed mind im very opend mind.
i mean if it did happen the world would do as they please, there is somethen out there we just dont know what and who that thing is. i dont like the government as much as the next person, but with out it we would be in all "hell" of its self.

iwas also not talking the fact that the government has caused all the anxiety about the unknown the have and softend us by the cover ups so that the general public could not handle the news. If we knew about them from the begining instead of being lied to we may not have had such irrational fears

I had not really heard of the mothman before so I went to look it up and there was a picture of the statue in Point Pleasant, West VA. If it was sited before lots of people died in disasters as it was implied, then perhaps it is the carrier of souls...or in the Christian view the Angel of Death. IF this is true, and you go by the belief of angels having wings.....then..the next leap is that the mothman is the Angel of Death.

I used to believe that the dark figures I saw were here to warn me of my eventual doom. But I've seen them ever since I was a little girl. They never scared though because I eventually realized that they were there to protect me.

For example, once when I was riding my bike when I was 10 I lost control and flipped my bike over a guardrail that blocked off a cliff that dropped off in a straight 7 foot drop. I fell the entire way to the bottom landing on my shoulders and neck. I passed out right away from the pain and thought I was dead for sure. But later I woke up next to my bike at the top of the drop with a bad headache and skinned elbows. I believe that I must have died that day but that the figures brought me back because I wasn't supposed to die yet.
