This came into my mind and I wondered if any here had knowledge of him and his teachings? These are a fantastic set of books regarding the Yaqui way with the use of peyote to attain the path to enlightenment.

It's interesting, but now, many years after originally reading it; I think it is on par with Jack Karouacs view of Buddism.

I love those books. He's a great author. I love how surprised he is to find out he's been playing (and peeing) with the dog all night.

i have not heard of him but have heard of such practices to help get a heightened sense of concousness.

I do not know alot about Carlos Castenada but i know he is a good author, and he has sold millions of books, but what he writes about is not very interesting to me, so i really have not read to much from him...

I just wanted to post this excerpt from The teachings of Don Juan.

I have read like his first 4. I have referred to some of his books when talking to others or referring people to portions of his books. If you haven't read any of his stuff,you should do so. He is awesome!
