I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go... Was wondering if anyone happened to have any pics from previous years, if there have been previous years.
I dont know of any that are still up by past cruisers.
Which brings up a good point. All Genre Travel will not, under any circumstances post pictures of the Annual Gothic Cruise and Masquerade Ball depicting clients that have booked through us. In the past, it just posed to many problems, and liabilities. There have been alot of problems because I will not post these pictures and share them.
When this annual event first got underway many years ago, I did post pictures. One picture had a guy and a girl kissing. His wife called my office and demanded to know who the girl was. The man called my office threatening to sue because I had no permission to post the picture. In light of that, we will not share, release, or post pictures of our cruise passengers. (nor is it my business who goes with who)

For this cruise.. we are anticipating over 1,000 people.
I guess I have yet another question... If you buy your tickets now, but then end up unable to go (for instance, becoming pregnant before May)..... Is there a way to return them? or... Is there a place to sell them to others?
Cruise line tickets are not transferable. 350.00 of the total per person cruise fare is nonrefundable, however, Travel Insurance will cover this.

If any one would want one made please contact me . we can go over what you want and how much it will cost to be made. Just as a guide, these out fits use ALOT of fabric and will be not be cheap!!! As a basic est. a basic gown is going to run about $150 to $200 depending on the size. Please feel free to ask questions...

I do have a suggestion: maybe some plans should be made to do fun little games such as a scavenger hunt on board .. They call them group building events in the business world and they work well as an Ice breaker...I would also be more than happy to help you with any planning for Events on the cruise.. I do live in Florida and have a lot of time on my hands for the next year...Let me know..
Actualy we have alot of events already planned, a scavenger hunt being just one of the many.

Well I for one can't wait. It's going to be fun being on a ship where I don't know the majority of people.
In our own little scenes, its so inbred you know everyone, and often wish you didn't.
Plus new friends...yay!
Since there are so many of us close together in CO and WY, I may see if I can organize a weekend this summer for everyone to meet up and go dancing/drinking/shopping before the cruise.
I'm going to be booking soon and could not be happier!!! I look forward to meeting new people and have a drunken good time!

I can't complete my funpass because my roommate hasn't filled out any info. Do I NEED him to do it as well or am I just missing something? The top always says Incomplete.
I don't see why one would affect the other. I had mine complete a couple weeks before my wifes, as she kept forgetting to dig out her passport for me.
Are you sure ALL your info is in correctly?
You can fill out your information, but I believe the FUNPASS prints out one FUNPASS.. for both people.
OH, I haven't bother printing it yet. I would just lose it anyway!
Me too. I figure I'll just print 20 copies of it before I head off. I'll keep one in my pocket and several stashed in my luggage, because I'm ADD boy...

was wondering if there are group photos schduled? If not could we arrange one or two??? We do it at bats day the big one is in front of the castle, and the other one is groups of 20-40 in front of the haunted house. Is this possible??
Carnival seriously charges an arm and a leg for group photos. (60 bucks a picture.)
I was thinking of having those wanting to be in a group photo, to gather in the main foyer of the ship. People can take digital photos at that point, and share them via email.

Maybe we can capture and force a mundane (errr nicely ask a non goth fellow passenger) to take the pics for us.
Seriously though. I've been talking on Cruise Critic with a couple on this sailing not in our group who are 3 cabins down from us. I'm sure they wouldn't mind taking some photos for us with our cameras.

I'm a photographer, and find great pleasure in taking pictures. if anyone on the boat wants their picture taken for any reason, find me and I can do it, and give you the picture.

I'm excited as all hell. I've never been on a cruise before and nobody can believe I'm going either. Add the fact that I have to travel from the West coast, going to see ancient sites, VNV concert, be totally out of my element... it's going to be pure madness!!!

Are there day passes available for Atlantis in the Bahamas? My husband has a thing for water parks (he's a big kid) and I heard this is a great one.

Yes.. Day passes can be purchased for the Atlantis. As far as I know however, you have to purchase them at the Resort.
So far, those people at are no longer registered with vampirerave - have NOT canceled their cruises.
Its wierd about a month after I signed up my account got "no longer registered" and I had to recreate... a few other people had the samething happen

A level 1 account cannot exisit longer than 30 days if there is no activity on it, unless it's a premium membership of course. At least that's what I read.
As of July 1st Cancer has graciously extended the incative periods permitted before profiles are closed for inactivity.
The new guidelines are:
Whelp - 90 days
Mosquito - 120 days
Shadow - 150 days
Marplot - 180 days
As AJ mentioned Premium Membership supercedes these requirements as Premium Member's profiles are never closed for inactivity.

Responding to Skully419 about a hangovercure; menudo has always worked for me. I know it's an aquired taste, but if you've never tried it maybe it will work for you.
Coupla questions:
What's the lay of the land when it comes to smoking on the ship (tobacco of course!)?
Is there a laundry service or laundry room on the ship? (I already asked in another thread...)

I've read that you can smoke in your cabin, on your balcony, or in designated smoking areas throughout the ship. There are signs posted.
There is a laundry facility on board from what I read. It sounded like a mini laundrymat.

I wanted to book some shore excursions for Key West and Nassau with Carnival but their site is not updated with the new itinerary yet... what should I do?
I called carnival last week and they were supposedly working on updating the site....he said it should be updated before we go but did not give me any specific date it would be done by. so it is just pot luck if it gets done on time. they have quite an extensive list of stuff to do, but it doesnt mean it will be available for the times we are ported. :)

Smoking is in designated areas beyond your cabin and balcony.
The hotel is the Orlando Airport Marriott.
Carnival is still working on getting the websites itineraries updated. Ours may not be updated until the week of the cruise. You can still book shore excursions however.. and you can book them onboard the ship.
HOWEVER... if you are going to the Tulum Ruins via shoretrips.com... YOU NEED TO BOOK NOW!

I only found the ghost tour by just searching for it...i dont know any of the other times tho.....if you see something you like just try to find it by typing in what the excursion is...or search key west excursions on google
Z. Whats the deal with the funpass? I did mine months ago and it is printed. I read that you said that you should'nt print tickets... I thought that meant Boarding tickets and such. Did I do wrong and what do ya miss out if I did do wrong... We get our physical boat tickets at the Pre-party am I correct?

Everyone was only supposed to print their funpasses. Some went ahead and printed their electronic tickets anyway.. which means they wont have a sailing schedule of OUR events now.

I am 99% sure that the Glory has in-room safes.
They were there last time we cruised on the same boat.
i sure hope so. and also, when we're on the cave tubing/aerial zipline excursion - where do we leave our shit while we're tubing, etc? locker rooms? they're not mentioned in the description...
Worse case scenario: a good ziplock bag might keep your wallet from getting wet while you are tubing. That's how we do it when we jet ski.

Yes there are safes in the rooms and they are free...... I'm sure the cave tubing has a place to stick your stuff
