You know what I don't understand? I don't understand why people go to the trouble of putting a block on their profiles so we can't right click on it. They want to stop us from saving a gif from their page, or whatever their odd reasoning is. But unless they have made it themselves, which, yea right, then they have no right to stop anyone else from having it. It's selfish and really stupid.

I wasn't right clicking to keep a copy of a gif these particular times, I was wanting to paste a new comment I had put together with a pic.

The Logical Song

08:05 Apr 29 2008
Times Read: 908

Lyrics that describe you, or something along those lines, was in the sandbox today. I decided this was mine. I mean, I have several anthems, but this seemed very fitting.

When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,

a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.

And all the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily,

joyfully, playfully watching me.

But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible,

logical, responsible, practical.

And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,

clinical, intellectual, cynical.

There are times when all the world's asleep,

the questions run too deep

for such a simple man.

Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned

I know it sounds absurd

but please tell me who I am.

Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,

liberal, fanatical, criminal.

Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're

acceptable, respectable, presentable, a vegetable!

At night, when all the world's asleep,

the questions run so deep

for such a simple man.

Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned

I know it sounds absurd

but please tell me who I am.

Confused...

04:10 Apr 29 2008
Times Read: 918

My daughter's profile suspended on here, from a picture that she has had on here forever. It was a John Waterhouse picture and had some chicks in the water. You could see their boobs out, but couldn't really see nipples, just knew they were there. It's John Waterhouse. It's art. It was beautiful, not obscene. My daughter is not one to blatently go against rules. She is a great kid.

Apparently it was one of those damn newbie shits that are high with power that suspended her. I think it's a good idea to check up on them and make sure they aren't bullying people too much.

I don't give a shit personally about the nipple thing and until this, I didn't give it a second thought. But I never understood how it is ok to show the bloodiest images possible, yet a natural, female nipple that many of us were sustained with as babies, is obscene? How does that make sense? It doesn't.

I also think we, as adults, have responsibilities to watch out for the younger ones. We also have responsibilities to keep the gore out of the hands of the younger ones, as this does psychological harm that is not always seen on the outside. But it carries with them, and shapes the people they are, even their dreams at night. We need to keep them young, naive and innocent as long as they can be, because soon the world will grab hold of them and twist them into..............................us.

Letter from one 'Angry Woman'

I don't know who wrote it - but should have signed it. Some

powerful words. This woman should run for president.

Written by a housewife from New Jersey and sounds like it!

This is one ticked off lady.

'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was

it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on

September 11, 2001?

Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not

brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan , across the Potomac

from our nation's capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania ?

Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a

horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they?

And I'm supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was

'desecrated' when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it

wet?..Well, I don't. I don't care at all.

I'll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and

repents for incinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle

East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is

a crime in Saudi Arabia

I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for

hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed through his gurgling

slashed throat.

I'll care when the cowardly so-called 'insurgents' in Iraq

come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion

by hiding in mosques.

I'll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in

search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of

their suicide bombs.

I'll care when the American media stops pretending that their

First Amendment liberties are somehow derived from international law

instead of the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights.

In the meantime, when I hear a story about a brave marine

roughing up an Iraqi terrorist to obtain information, know this: I

don't care.

When I see a fuzzy photo of a pile of naked Iraqi prisoners

who have been humiliated in what amounts to a college-hazing incident,

rest assured: I don't care.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he

is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it

to the bank: I don't care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a

prayer mat, and fed 'special' food that is paid for by my tax dollars,

is complaining that his holy book is being 'mishandled,' you can

absolutely believe in your heart of hearts: I don't care.

And oh, by the way, I've noticed that sometimes it's spelled

'Koran' and other times 'Quran.' Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and-you guessed

it-I don't care !!

If you agree with this viewpoint, pass this on to all your

E-mail friends.. Sooner or later, it'll get to the people responsible

for this ridiculous behavior!

If you don't agree, then by all means hit the delete button.

Should you choose the latter, then please don't complain when more

atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our great

Country! And may I add:

'Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made

a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem' --

Ronald Reagan

I have another quote that I would like to add AND......I hope

you forward all this.

'If we ever forget that we're One Nation Under God, then we

will be a nation gone under.' Also by.. Ronald Reagan

One last thought for the day:

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the

Anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's

Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked

by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America ,

he said: 'A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how

many want in.. And how many want out.'

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ

2. The American G. I.

One died for your soul, the other for your freedom.

Tax Rebate

06:28 Apr 25 2008
Times Read: 965

President George Bush said each one of us would

get a $600.00 tax rebate. It was previously slated to be $800.00, but they dropped it to a $600.00 tax rebate because of various budget problems.

Now, if we spend that money at Wal-Mart, all the money will go to China, if we spend it on computers, most of the money will go to Korea or India.

If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs and none of these scenarios will help the American economy.

We need to keep that money here in America; so the only way to keep that money here at home is to drink beer, gamble, or spend it on prostitution.

Currently it seems that these are the only businesses still left in the U.S.

New Direction for any war: Send Service Vets over 50!

I am over 50 and the Armed Forces thinks I'm too old to track down terrorists. You can't be older than 42 to join the military. They've got the whole thing backwards. Instead of sending 18-year olds off to fight, they ought to take us old guys. You shouldn't be able to join a military unit until you're at least 35.

For starters:

Researchers say 18-year-olds think about sex every 10 seconds. Old guys only think about sex a couple of times a day, leaving us more than 28,000 additional seconds per day to concentrate on the enemy.

Young guys haven't lived long enough to be cranky, and a cranky soldier is a dangerous soldier. 'My back hurts! I can't sleep, I'm tired and hungry' We are impatient and maybe letting us kill some jerk that desperately deserves it will make us feel better and shut us up for a while.

An 18-year-old doesn't even like to get up before 10 a.m. Old guys always get up early to pee so what the heck. Besides, like I said, 'I'm tired and can't sleep and since I'm already up, I may as well be up killing some fanatical jerk.

If captured we couldn't spill the beans because we'd forget where we put them. In fact, name, rank, and serial number would be a real brainteaser.

Boot camp would be easier for old guys. We're used to getting screamed and yelled at and we're used to soft food. We've also developed an appreciation for guns. We've been using them for years as an excuse to get out of the house, away from the screaming and yelling.

They could lighten up on the obstacle course however. I've been in combat and didn't see a single 20-foot wall with rope hanging over the side, nor did I ever do any push-ups after completing basic training.

Actually, the running part is kind of a waste of energy, too. I've never seen anyone out run a bullet.

An 18-year-old has the whole world ahead of him. He's still learning to shave, to start up a conversation with a pretty girl. He still hasn't figured out that a baseball cap has a brim to shade his eyes, not the back of his head.

These are all great reasons to keep our kids at home to learn a little more about life before sending them off into harm's way.

Let us old guys track down those dirty rotten coward terrorists. The last thing an enemy would want to see is a couple of million grumpy old farts with attitudes and automatic weapons who know that their best years are already behind them.

If nothing else, put us on border patrol....we will have it secured the first night!

A Friend added this:

She said:

Maybe a few woman in the throes of menopause too, wanna see some real shit kickers, ha, you old farts ain't seen nothin'.

"Coming home in Self"

"Coming home in Self"

What is holding me back from being fully here at times?

A lack of trust.

Allow more trust. Trust that all is going to be fine, to work out. Center in the quiet knowingness that we are with you always. That there is a deeper purpose for you being on the planet (and at your certain location) at this time.

You are carrying much light. Allow the greatness to shine forth - not to overpower any other lights, but to be one of the many lighthouses showing the way. Speak the words freely that come to you. Let the inner feeling of God-strength, clarity and compassion give you courage to be YOU - who you are - in this world. Let this feeling fill you.

See your own and other's judgments for what they are: a certain set of opinions created from one specific point of view. (In the smaller self.)

And then let them go. Over and over again. You are not your own, nor any other's opinions.

Nobody in their limited self holds the entire truth. At the same time, EVERYBODY owns the truth in their Limitless Self. Be patient and forgiving to the smaller selves, including your own. Always give a new chance - as is God's Grace always extending a new chance to everyone.

Trust that life is safe. Can you hear that and allow yourself to believe and know that? Life is safe! Stop being afraid of doing something stupid or wrong.

Others may project these thoughts onto you, but you CAN NOT do anything wrong. You might be walking those extra bends in the road when there actually is a shortcut through the forest. You may take a long time or a short time.

But time is an illusion, so it doesn't matter if you take baby steps, long detours, run or walk steadfast towards a goal. You can NEVER miss the way Home! Even if it feels like it at times.

Forget, engage, get lost and work hard all you want.

Until you tire.

Until you desire to feel the peace within

and come home in your consciousness.

Until you are ready to know who you are.

Until you are ready to see and embrace your beauty.

When you can allow the Joy to unfold.

This is the process everybody is moving through.

Some more deeply than others.

Some more lost than others.

You can move mountains within yourself.

This is not complicated.

This is not a work of the intellect.

It is in the Grace of God

EVERYBODY can come home - at any time.

To rest their weary mind and heart

and restore their knowingness, clarity and greatness.

Let it be so.

Trust.

You'll be fine and you are fine.

The report came back

22:28 Apr 17 2008
Times Read: 1,058

I have been calling the coroner's office every two weeks since Mom passed to find out how it has been ruled, because they wouldn't give me her note until then. Assuming they will and haven't thrown it away or destroyed it. You may recall that my Dad told the cops not to tell me about the note when it first happened.

Everytime I called I would get the same answer, "It is still pending.".

Today's call was that it's finished. It has been offically ruled as suicide. I already knew that anyway, but Dad hasn't wanted to believe it. You may also recall that I told him the night she did it, that she was going to. I told everyone. I could tell by the look she gave me and how she was acting.

It was an overdose of Acebutol. I knew before the chick finished the word what she was trying to pronounce. I finished it for her. 19.0 mcgs/mls were in her system. It said that it was a "significant amount".

Ever since it happened, I keep thinking of her last moments, her thoughts and feelings and how alone she had to have felt, how sad.

She most likely loved on her dogs, looked at our pictures, took the pills, set the glass down, layed down and looked at our pictures some more, of those happier times. I imagine her to be thinking of all the fun times we have had, her life as a whole, and what was to happen the next day, and our futures...and what she was going to miss of it. *sigh*

She loved being with us so much, and I know it killed her already inside to have to leave us, me especially, I must admit. I mean, we were so close and she was living basically for me anyway. She knew I didn't want her to leave. I understand she had to. I understand. It still hurts incredibly though. I miss her so much. "Miss her" is an understatement. I was shocked when Dad actually admitted aloud to me that I was her favorite.

So I called the sheriff's department as soon as I got off the phone with the coroner's office, but Mr. Wade was out. I left my name. They better give me my note now. If not, I will call my lawyer friend again about it.

Good deeds piling up

The other day it seems we were feeding everyone. Had that picnic for everyone, sent home leftovers and made a plate for a friend in a nursing home. Groceries for that cookout, $214. We had $2.53 left in the account to live on for the week til next Friday. It was Saturday.

Day after that, had Danny's uncle over again, sent food with him to someone else, from the cookout.

Sent home food with Harmony's boyfriend.

Course still feeding stray cats and kittens.

This past week it was raining pretty heavily and there was a woman walking in it. Cars passed her by. We were going the opposite direction but we turned around and went back to see if she wanted a ride. Took her home.

Took more clothes to the Salvation Army and Hot Topic clothes to Harmony's friend. I am pretty much finished with Hot Topic. Sure, there are a few things there that I like, but very few. They are sucking anyway in the past year. Too much neon shit. I didn't wear that shit in the 80s either.

Had Vic over again for supper several times since.

Howdy Tickle

I met this man today, while waiting on an appointment. He was a friendly guy and I just fell in love with him. He made quite an impression on me. Very charismatic. His name is Howdy Tickle. Yep, that's what his parents named him. He had been in the Navy, had worked in Eureka Springs, Arkansas as part of a Jamboree show, works in Branson sometimes, takes people to appointments, got a degree in Psychiatry and is a hypnotist. I am sure there is a lot more to his life, but that is what I got in our time together.

He first noticed my outfit and complimented me on it, saying that very few girls dress really nice these days, and most guys don't either. I told him I missed the days where people actually dressed for the day. We touched on lots of subjects in a short time. I mentioned how I like old 20s French music.

I can't recall if he said he was 70 or 80. I think 70. Just had a birthday in March.

I decided I needed a picture to have of my new friend Howdy. I hope I see him again someday.

My letter to Bill/FOX

07:16 Apr 16 2008
Times Read: 1,074

Bill/FOX NEWS,

I know that you are a child advocate. I called the 1-888 number but I didn't really find a line that pertained to my subject. Perhaps I missed it.

Just recently, my husband's niece told her grandmother (husband's mother) that she had been molested by her dad. The mother had passed away a few years ago in childbirth at home. Apparently the molestations were going on several years before the mother passed, but it was unknown by her. The niece wanted to leave the home about 2 weeks ago and the father threw a fit and out in the open came the story of the molestation.

Since then, the niece is living with the grandmother, and the rest of the kids were scattered. But they have also gone home again, and back with other relatives on the mother's side. It's a back and forth thing. The twin girls are the most at risk and they are around 11 years old. The niece just turned 18. She is afraid to go to the cops.

It has come out that 2 other girls in the family, older then the niece, were molested too when they lived at the house. Also, that the father was having sex with his sisters when he lived at home. And that his sisters were also molested by their father.

This was all covered up and ignored by the church there. It is a tight community that hides their secrets obviously well. They have been brainwashed into thinking that this is what they are supposed to do and not tell. And from what I understand, that was his solution to not having affairs outside the marriage.

When the niece confronted the father a second time, the grandfather was there. He told the niece that she should, "take it on the chin" and "buck up", and that "she deserved to be molested", and that, "it was her fault her mother died". I am not sure if it was the father and grandfather that said it or just the grandfather. It was horrible, regardless.

So I heard that they, the church, had a meeting on Friday to decided what to do about the father. He denies doing anything and says the niece is lying. The church didn't seem to be concerned about the kids. In fact, they told my husband's mother that if she didn't "play by their rules", she and the rest of the family on this side would not see the kids again. So now they seem to be in the hands of the molester and his family. And you just know it will happen again. Especially since they are getting the message that they can do what they want and get away with it. And the kids are getting the messages that they are not worth saving, and that it's ok to do that. The grandmother is now scared to make a next move. She is very close to the kids.

We are all upset about this and feel our hands are tied. Surely there is something that can be done! This is not even just about the niece. It is all the kids in the past, present and future that are going to be molested and screwed up because of these people. These messed up kids will be raising kids of their own and it could keep happening in a vicious cycle. The nieces brothers and sisters have now turned against her. The father has been able to convince them to stand by his side, most likely by emotional blackmail. He had said once that he would commit suicide if they took the kids one day when the family on this side were going to get them. They didn't that day, but went back the next day while he was at work.

I called the child protection services about a week and a half ago. But my husband's mother asked me not to go have it processed yet because she thought it would ruin things on her end, because the niece was going to go to the cops and they wanted the element of surprise. But she hasn't gone yet and I am thinking I need to call the child services again. The niece says she is scared. Scared for her life even and upset because her family has turned it's back on her. She doesn't want to make things worse. And despite the fact that everyone is working on getting her to go to the cops, things just seem to be standing still as she procrastinates.

So I am asking what Bill O'Reilly/FOX can do, since you guys are so good at showing and asking what's really going on. This seems to be more than one child being affected here. It's generations and more to come if not stopped.

Thank you for your time and any information you can give me in this matter.

Sincerely,

Jamie

Whew, glad he picked one with brains

We were so glad that Bret Michaels picked Ambre over Daisy. Daisy looks like a fish face and has way too much plastic in her chest, and way too much collagen injected into her lips. And what's up with those hands?! It was really irritating to watch.

I knew last week that he was going to pick Ambre. You could see where the chicks were standing in the previews and when he said you are my rock of love, he was looking over Ambre's direction. But I was nervous though, and wanted to make sure I was right. And I was.

I don't like neither of them. Daisy was the typical rock band groupie. Amber is not portraying herself to be such a rock chick. She is to straight laced, and is just trying to be something she is not. She, and Bret will not last. I was happy he picked her. At least he got laid by both of them, and gave them the same necklace(which was pretty pathetic on his part). He should have gotten them different things, but whatever they got a prize for being on his show, and getting fucked by him! LOL!

rumour on the street is that Bret was crushed when Kristy Jo left and that he wanted to quit the Show right there and then, that's why the girls got so upset...he walked outside to let KJ know that he was only gonna stay until the Finale due to Contractual Obligations....that he is now with KJ and that will be revealed at the Reunion Show.

rumour or truth? we'll see this Sunday.

Jobs to get and what random jobs are paying

PARADE Magazine's What People Earn 2008

Where the jobs are

By Lynn Brenner, PARADE Magazine

Even in a recession, some sectors of the economy are likely to keep growing -- among them education, healthcare, security services and information technology. As entertainment increasingly is distributed online, there's a growing demand for designers, writers and art directors with tech skills.

Dottie Martin, 36, who made $83,600 as an editor for an entertainment Web site last year, loves her job. Her words confirm what many we spoke with say–that, in any economy, the best jobs provide emotional as well as financial rewards. "Although I've been doing it for almost three years now," says Martin, "I still pinch myself because it essentially doesn't seem like work."

GOOD JOBS FOR RIGHT NOW

In a struggling economy, some jobs are more recession-proof than others.

Energy: Jobs related to oil, gas and nuclear power remain essential and in demand. Positions range from scientists to engineers to rig and well workers.

Security: The Defense and Homeland Security departments are attempting to fill 83,000 civilian jobs, from auditors to program analysts.

Accounting: Managing corporate finances is especially important during lean times. "Job-board sites list more than 325,000 accounting and finance openings right now," says Rick Moore of Volte Services Group.

Wireless support: With a mobile work force, companies need professionals who can maintain wireless networks and protect information security.

Database administration: As companies become more reliant on data for research, sales, and marketing, there is an increased need for database administrators.

GOOD JOBS FOR THE FUTURE

Many of the fastest-growing, best-paying jobs are in new media, law and information technology

Information technology: In an economy reliant on technology, professionals who can design, develop and maintain computer systems are crucial. Chief information officers are commanding salaries of more than $200,000. Systems analysts can make more than $91,000.

Law: Lawyers are in high demand in areas including intellectual property, corporate law and litigation. First-year attorneys are starting out at $72,500 in small firms and as high as $137,000 at large firms. Legal-support workers are finding jobs plentiful and salaries healthy too. Legal librarians make as much as $69,500 a year, while calendar clerks can earn up to $46,750.

New media: The rapid growth of the Internet is fueling a boom in online media jobs. A creative director, responsible for website content and presentation, can attract a salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000. On the business side, advertising salespeople are earning up to $103,500.

How long til only elastic pants?

04:20 Apr 15 2008
Times Read: 1,098

I haven't been on as much in the last night or two. I have been working on my clothes, going through them, getting rid of some, trying them on to see what works, what doesn't.

*heavy sigh* Some won't zip up in the back anymore. I have gained about an inch and a half in my back in oh, the past 2 or 3 years til last night. Damnit.

Actually I already wear bigger pants and shorts than I am for comfy and lounging feel. Over are the days of complicated clothes, for the most part. I am growing into my pear shape even more. Danny loves my hips, my curves. And though I am ok with myself a lot of the time, those airbrushed magazines and waif chicks on TV and movies make me twinge and cringe, making me question my boodylicious curves.

And that's why I love those magazines that capture the celebs with all their fat, and cellulite hanging out. Brings 'em right back to level playing fields. ;)

I just have to give kudos to the way men don't really see all the flaws we do about ourselves. That cellulite, those big hips and ass...they see that as a roadway which they would love to cruise. Thank god they aren't as critical of us as we are of ourselves. And that is so unfair of us to do!

We are fine just the way we are. Yup, just fine. =)

Teenage mother threw baby at social worker

By Sophie Borland

04/12/2008

A teenage mother whose newborn baby was taken from her by social workers has been banned from seeing her son after she threw him across the room during a fight with the boy's father.

The 18-year-old, known only as G, also narrowly missed hitting the little boy's head when she hurled a mobile phone charger at her former partner.

The fight occurred while the parents were visiting the baby, who is currently in foster care, during a session supervised by social workers from Nottingham City Council.

advertisementThe baby, known as K, had been taken away from the mother just two hours after he was born because the local authority feared she was not in a fit state to look after him.

But he was later returned to her when a judge at the High Court ruled he had been removed "unlawfully".

The baby was taken from his mother again after a second judge declared the baby should be placed in foster care.

She was initially allowed "frequent" contact with the baby but the same High Court judge ruled yesterday that she should not have any contact with the child.

Mr Justice Munby, a High Court Family Division judge, gave his reasons for temporarily banning contact between mother and baby yesterday.

The judge, who had initially criticised Nottingham City Council for taking the baby away from his mother hours after his birth and without the authority of a court order, said it was now up to her to demonstrate "that she can put K's needs before her own problems".

According to a report by one of the social workers who was present at the supervised meeting, the father first threw the mobile phone charger at the woman. She then threw it back at him, just missing the head of the baby.

She then grabbed the child and forcefully thrust him into a baby bouncer before taking him back into her arms.

When one of the social workers said "give me the baby", she threw the child at her from about 18in away.

The social worker observed that she did this "without due care of where he was actually going to land and without supporting his head".

Shortly before the fight, the woman had been ordered by a judge to go on a residential course to assess her abilities as a parent but she had given up after three days.

The judge transferred further hearings to Nottingham County Court and said the woman would have to take on board the council's concerns about her behaviour.

He added she would have to "demonstrate as best she can that she is going to behave herself if contact resumes".

Mr Justice Munby stressed that further hearings at the county court would be held in private, as normal in child care cases, although he might find it appropriate to announce the eventual outcome.

The council has not so far sought to stop the father's contact with the baby.

In a recent interview, the woman insisted she was "a good mother" and denied reports that she suffered from mental health problems.

Keys Talks About Her Conspiracy Theories

NEW YORK (AP) — There's another side to Alicia Keys: conspiracy theorist. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter tells Blender magazine: "`Gangsta rap' was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. `Gangsta rap' didn't exist."

Keys, 27, said she's read several Black Panther autobiographies and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck "to symbolize strength, power and killing 'em dead," according to an interview in the magazine's May issue, on newsstands Tuesday.

Another of her theories: That the bicoastal feud between slain rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled "by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing."

Keys' AK-47 jewelry came as a surprise to her mother, who is quoted as telling Blender: "She wears what? That doesn't sound like Alicia." Keys' publicist, Theola Borden, said Keys was on vacation and unavailable for comment.

Though she's known for her romantic tunes, she told Blender that she wants to write more political songs. If black leaders such as the late Black Panther Huey Newton "had the outlets our musicians have today, it'd be global. I have to figure out a way to do it myself," she said.

The multiplatinum songstress behind the hits "Fallin'" and "No One" most recently had success with her latest CD, "As I Am," which sold millions.

Kneeling soldier

This statue currently stands outside the Iraqi palace, now home to the 4th Infantry division

It will eventually be shipped home

and put in the memorial museum in Fort Hood, TX

The statue was created by an Iraqi artist named Kalat,

who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad

Kalat was so grateful for the Americans liberation

of his country; he melted 3 of the heads of the fallen Saddam and made the statue as a memorial to the American soldiers and their fallen warriors

Kalat worked on this memorial night and day

for several months.

To the left of the kneeling soldier is a small Iraqi girl

giving the soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms.

Do you know why we don't hear about this in the news?

Because it is heart warming and praise worthy.

The media avoids it because it does not have the shock effect.

But we can do something about it.

We can pass this along to as many people as we can in honor of all our brave military who are making a difference.

And please pass this on!

IF YOU DON'T STAND BEHIND OUR TROOPS,

PLEASE, FEEL FREE...TO STAND IN FRONT OF THEM!

I have been looking all over for help on how to transfer my camcorder files to my pc, to youtube, or wherever. I need to be able to break them up into the pieces that they are in. Everytime I stop the camcorder, it creates a new section. I can see it on the menu, and play it on my pc, but to take a section out? I can't. It's in VOB format. I put it in dvddecrypter and shrink and burned it, but it didn't separate the sections.

GRR...

I know it can't be this hard. It just can't be this hard to take out sections of a video. I have seen all the videos on youtube and some of those people don't look like they could tie their own shoes, let alone convert VOB files to mpeg and upload to youtube.

"Go get a tan. Your body will thank you."

07:29 Apr 11 2008
Times Read: 1,134

That's the feel-good tag line you'll soon be hearing from a new series of television commercials produced by the Indoor Tanning Association – an advocacy group that represents hundreds of tanning equipment manufacturers and salon operators in the U.S.

This ITA marketing blitz is designed to alleviate skin cancer fears by emphasizing the health benefits of ultraviolet light. And it's true that your body will make excellent use of moderate sun exposure by producing the remarkably protective vitamin D. But 30 minutes on a tanning bed is not exactly a walk on the beach.

--------------------------------------------

Every which ray

--------------------------------------------

The ITA web site states: "While indoor tanning is a cosmetic service, a well-known side effect of exposing the skin to ultraviolet (UV) light is the production of vitamin D."

And that's true. But there's a catch. Ultraviolet sunlight exposure and tanning bed ultraviolet exposure are as different as a house cat and a Siberian tiger.

Here's why:

There are two types of ultraviolet light rays: UVA and UVB

UVB rays prompt vitamin D metabolism in the skin, but also promote sunburn fairly quickly

UVA rays promote tanning, but they don't play a role in vitamin D metabolism

The UVA/UVB ratio in tanning beds can be modulated, and as you might expect, the beds deliver very high levels of UVA rays to maximize tanning, and very low levels of UVB rays to minimize burning

And that's why they're called "tanning beds" – not "vitamin D beds."

If you want to get a genuine "thank you" from your body, spend 20 minutes in direct sunlight each day to maximize vitamin D metabolism.

Live in relaxation

"It would be glorious to see mankind at leisure for once. It is nothing but work, work, work."

-- Henry David Thoreau

Is relaxation possible only when we’re not working? No. With awareness and practice, we can be relaxed no matter what we are doing. In fact, when we work in a relaxed state, our productivity increases as our effort decreases.

For true relaxation, we need to connect with our bodies -- to consciously and intentionally become aware of tension and release it.

"Anxiety breaks a man’s backbone."

-- Hebrew proverb

"Don't hurry, don't worry. You're only here for a short visit. So be sure to stop and smell the flowers."

Was watching a documentary called "Bush's war," it is about the current war in Iraq. One part of the TV program dealt with Dick Cheney's approval of brutal interrogation. Dick Cheney validates technique that does not cause internal organ failure (such as the victim's heart stopping or his spleen bursting). Your government has thrown away the Geneva conventions on how enemies should be treated.

Now I am all confused between a ruthless dictator who tortures his opposition and Sadam.

PS. Clinton was fighting in the Balkans, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, against technically superior Warsaw pact equipped armies. Once the armies surrendered then there was a plan to rebuild the country.

Bush has rebuilt squat. Bush is still fighting against the ghost of Sadam. He calls it insurrection but it is the Iraqi army who think of themselves as freedom fighters fighting against an occupying force. And I am not so sure that they aren't freedom fighters.

Fuck! That should read "Dick Cheney validates torture techniques that stop just short of internal organ failure."

O and one last point, the neo-cons, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz are undone. They are no longer in power even in Bush's administration. They are politically poisonous, pegged as bullies and liars and fools, and to suggest their incompetent policies would be resurrected on either side of politics is just plain wrong.

Bang-a-Qigong

09:17 Apr 10 2008
Times Read: 1,150

Qigong Is a Gentle Yet Powerful Exercise

For many years people went to the gym with visions of six-pack abs and toned thighs dancing in their heads. Plenty still chase those goals, but today many gym patrons are as apt to be chanting as panting. The widespread acceptance of yoga started people down the broader path of mind-body exercise, and now it's a busy path indeed. One previously obscure practice becoming quite popular is Qigong (pronounced chee-gung or chee kong). A small gym near me has a sign promising "the real Qigong," while a large plush gym I know is advertising its weekly "fusion" Qigong class. Perhaps the best living proof of Qigong's acceptance in the Western world is the fact that it cropped up on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" not long ago. However, like with the yoga and pilates crazes, as popularity of Qigong has grown, so too have the variations, leading to potential confusion.

GENTLE BUT STRONG

To find out what Qigong is all about and what it can do for us, I called Jeffrey Zimmerman, OMD, who teaches it as well as Tai Chi and Optimotion, a mind-body discipline he developed. Dr. Zimmerman explains that there are actually three types of Qigong -- "health Qigong" describes the exercise discipline... "medical Qigong," which is a special type of massage that works on energy blockages... and a martial arts form of it. While it won't build six-pack abs, health Qigong is said to do the following:

Help cleanse the body of toxins

Restore energy

Reduce stress and anxiety

Promote healing

Integrate mind and body

Increase sense of balance

Some people scoff at the idea that the gentle movements of Qigong contribute to health, but the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine of the National Institutes of Health has been impressed enough to sponsor several studies investigating Qigong's impact on the health of patients with heart disease, osteoarthritis and obesity. Other researchers have demonstrated that Qigong positively impacts balance (which can help prevent falling) and blood pressure... and we'll be hearing more study findings in the future.

HOW QIGONG WORKS

The "qi" in Qigong refers to the energy of the body, better known as chi. "Gong" means assiduous practice, and together they represent a way to harness your chi to help your body become soft, pliable and strong. As such, Dr. Zimmerman says Qigong is the underpinning of many other practices -- he likens it to learning the notes and structure of music that enable you to play an instrument. The practice of Qigong includes literally thousands of different forms and movements, including knee bends, hip twists and flowing arm motions that can be done while sitting, lying down, standing up or moving. To the untrained eye it looks similar to Tai Chi, a close relation. Breath is crucial to all postures and movements -- the specialized breathing techniques merged with slow movement are what transport the chi into various organs and body parts. Dr. Zimmerman explains that along with increasing fluidity, Qigong creates a deep awareness of the body and its movements. You begin to focus on how you are distributing your weight, how you are balancing and your basic posture, which allows you to feel free and move easier.

Unique to Qigong is that it builds power through lack of tension, says Dr. Zimmerman -- he says you can either have tension or you can have energy, but the two cannot co-exist. This is why he is greatly troubled by current hybrids like "power" Qigong, "fusion" Qigong and other versions that attempt to link modern Western physical fitness with this ancient Eastern practice. "These completely miss the point of Qigong," says Dr. Zimmerman in exasperation. "Qigong teaches fluidity, a concept that is totally opposite of the Western view of exercise. We Americans tend to go to the weak point and focus on ways to strengthen it. Qigong, on the other hand, educates and works with the entire body." Therefore, Dr. Zimmerman adds, learning Qigong can be a particular challenge for intellectually driven westerners who "have to stop the brain from trying to take over in order to learn it," he explains.

TO FIND THE "REAL DEAL"

To find a class that is what Dr. Zimmerman calls "the real deal," he advises asking around to locate people who are knowledgeable about Qigong. Explore what kind of education the instructor has. Ask if he/she has a background in Chinese or Oriental medicine, how long they've been studying Qigong and who they've been studying with. He acknowledges it can be difficult to find a teacher qualified in the traditional form of Qigong, although more masters have emigrated from China in recent years. Take the time to observe a few classes with a particular instructor before making a commitment to it, though. Qigong should never be painful or tense, so if you see signs of those, keep looking. The teacher should move smoothly and gracefully, and be quick to help students get past their tension. Good teachers adapt Qigong's patterns to the needs of their students. Taking a twice weekly class will put you on your way to learning this demanding art, says Dr. Zimmerman. And while it takes many years to master, even a shorter practice of Qigong will be beneficial for both a newfound physical freedom and to enhance your practice of Tai Chi, yoga and even other sports.

ITALIAN BOY'S CONFESSION

Bless me Father, for I have sinned. I have been with a loose

girl". The priest asks, "Is that you, little Joey Pagano ?"

"Yes, Father, it is."

"And who was the girl you were with?"

"I can't tell you, Father, I don't want to ruin her

reputation" Well, Joey, I'm sure to find out her name

sooner or later, so you may as well tell me now. Was it

Tina Minetti?" "I cannot say."

"Was it Teresa Mazzarelli?"

"I'll n ever tell."

"Was it Nina Capelli?"

"I'm sorry, but I cannot name her."

"Was it Cathy Piriano?"

" My lips are sealed."

"Was it Rosa Di Angelo, then?"

"Please, Father, I cannot tell you."

The priest sighs in frustration. "You're very tight lipped,

Joey Pagano, and

I admire that. But you've sinned and have to atone. You

cannot be an altar boy now for 4 months. Now you go and

behave yourself." Joey walks back to his pew, and his

friend Franco slides over and whispers,

"What'd you get?"

"4 months vacation and five good leads."

Study links magnesium deficiency to faster aging

Study links magnesium deficiency to faster aging

- Tue Apr 8, 2:17 PM

CHICAGO (AFP) - A lack of magnesium accelerates aging in human cells, which may explain the link between any long-term deficiency and a higher risk of aging-related diseases, a study released Monday said.

Magnesium is essential for hundreds of biochemical reactions in the body. It helps maintain normal muscle and nerve function, keeps heart rhythm steady, and keeps bones strong.

Yet research has shown that, at least in the United States, more than half the population is lacking in magnesium due to deficiencies in their diet, potentially increasing their risk of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis and some cancers.

To try to understand why magnesium deficiency predisposes people to disease, Bruce Ames and researchers at Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute in California studied the long-term effects of moderate magnesium deficiency on human fibroblasts, cells that provide a structural framework for many tissues in the body.

They cultured the cells for their entire lifespan, a period of three to four months, to mimic the effects of a lack of magnesium in the study which appears in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

They found that while the cells survived and divided normally under moderate magnesium-depleted conditions, they appeared to become older quicker than cells grown in normal magnesium concentrations.

"Magnesium deficiency affects the way the cells age. Accelerated cellular aging affects the way tissue functions," said David Killilea, an associate staff scientist in the Nutrition and Metabolism Center at Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute.

"We are now thinking that cellular consequences of magnesium deficiency may be driving long-term chronic disease."

Ames and Killilea suggested the markers of accelerated cellular aging in magnesium-deficient cells may indicate that the cells were in triage mode, saving resources for indispensable metabolic processes at the expense of long-term function.

As for diagnosing and treating chronic moderate magnesium deficiency, there is no good laboratory marker for this type of condition. It tends to fly under the radar, the scientists said.

"You could be moderately deficient for a long time and not know it," said Killilea.

Food sources rich in the micronutrient include green vegetables such as spinach, beans, nuts, and unrefined grains

Seven or more eggs a week raises risk of death

04:55 Apr 10 2008
Times Read: 1,160

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Middle-aged men who ate seven or more eggs a week had a higher risk of earlier death, U.S. researchers reported on Wednesday.

Men with diabetes who ate any eggs at all raised their risk of death during a 20-year period studied, according to the study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition.

The study adds to an ever-growing body of evidence, much of it contradictory, about how safe eggs are to eat. It did not examine what about the eggs might affect the risk of death.

Men without diabetes could eat up to six eggs a week with no extra risk of death, Dr. Luc Djousse and Dr. J. Michael Gaziano of Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School found.

"Whereas egg consumption of up to six eggs a week was not associated with the risk of all-cause mortality, consumption of (seven or more) eggs a week was associated with a 23 percent greater risk of death," they wrote.

"However, among male physicians with diabetes, any egg consumption is associated with a greater risk of all-cause mortality, and there was suggestive evidence for a greater risk of MI (heart attack) and stroke."

They urged more study in the general population.

Eggs are rich in cholesterol, which in high amounts can clog arteries and raise the risk of heart attack and stroke.

One expert on nutrition and heart disease said the study suggests middle-aged men, at least, should watch how many eggs they eat.

"More egg on our faces? It's really hard to say at this point, but it still seems, if you're a middle-aged male physician and enjoy eggs more than once a day, that having some of the egg left on your face may be better than having it go down your gullet," said Dr. Robert Eckel of the University of Colorado and a former president of the American Heart Association.

"But, remember: eggs are like all other foods -- they are neither 'good' nor 'bad,' and they can be part of an overall heart-healthy diet," Eckel wrote in a commentary.

The Harvard team studied 21,327 men taking part in the much larger Physicians' Health Study, which has been watching doctors since 1981 who have agreed to report regularly on their health and lifestyle habits.

Over 20 years, 1,550 of the men had heart attacks, 1,342 had strokes, and more than 5,000 died.

"Egg consumption was not associated with (heart attack) or stroke," the researchers wrote.

But the men who ate seven eggs a week or more were 23 percent more likely to have died during the 20-year period.

Diabetic men who ate any eggs at all were twice as likely to die in the 20 years.

Men who ate the most eggs also were older, fatter, ate more vegetables but less breakfast cereal, and were more likely to drink alcohol, smoke and less likely to exercise -- all factors that can affect the risk of heart attack and death.

Story: New study links cell phone usage to cancer

Before you naysay any links of cell phone use to cancer:

PLEASE READ: 1) Researchers at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel discovered that exposure to even low levels of radiation from mobile handsets could interfere with how brain cells divide, thus causing tumors. 2) Stanford University and Integrated Laboratory Systems in Research Triangle Park, NC found chromosomal changes in blood cells subjected to the same type of electromagnetic radiation emitted by hand-held cell phones. 3)Dr. Sadetzki, a physician, epidemiologist and lecturer at Tel Aviv University, published the results of a study recently in the American Journal of Epidemiology, in which she and her colleagues found that heavy cell phone users were subject to a higher risk of benign and malignant tumors of the salivary gland. 4)DTX pulse frequency at 2 Hz and the TDMA frequency of 8·34 Hz correspond to frequencies of electrical oscillations found in the human brain, specifically the delta and alpha brain-waves, respectively. It is thus quite possible that living organisms have a two-fold sensitivity to the pulsed GSM signal--ie, to both the microwave carrier and the lower frequency pulsing of the TDMA and DTX signals. These and other studies suggest that not only does heavy cell phone use cause detrimental changes in users brain tissue, but also we maybe well into a virtual epidemic of EMF caused illnesses.

They also found the bluetooth headsets to be even worse because of the additional waves to get to your ear.

Goodbye my friend

By Linda Ronstadt

Oh we never know where life will take us

I know it's just a ride on the wheel

And we never know when death will shake us

And we wonder how it will feel

So goodbye my friend

I know I'll never see you again

But the time together through all the years

Will take away these tears

It's okay now

Goodbye my friend

I've seen a lot things that make me crazy

And I guess I held on to you

We could've run away and left well maybe

But it wasn't time and we both knew

So goodbye my friend

I know I'll never see you again

But the love you gave me through all the years

Will take away these tears

I'm okay now

Goodbye my friend

Life's so fragile and love's so pure

We can't hold on but we try

We watch how quickly it disappears

And we never know why

But I'm okay now

Goodbye my friend

You can go now

Goodbye my friend

Shedding light on a dark secret

05:13 Apr 08 2008
Times Read: 1,202

So. *takes breath*

Danny's niece from Idaho called Harmony up the other evening very upset and said that something bad had happened and she would call Harmony later. She didn't have the time to tell her everything, but wanted to come down to Oklahoma to stay with us for a bit til she could stay with a friend. I didn't know she knew anyone down here except a guy friend and that's not the same friend.

Days went by and we didn't hear back from her, and I wanted Danny to call his mom to find out what was going on, as his niece was going to stay over at Grandma's. He didn't, he waited on them to call him. Grr.....

So late Saturday night his brother calls and says he can't sleep because of so much going on over there and he can't think of anything else....Danny's niece has been molested....by her father.

Danny's sister passed away a few years ago after childbirth. They have them at home in Idaho and don't believe in doctors. They think them evil. It's been the dad and the kids ever since.

Also the girls are required to stay at home until they are married off, or they are kicked out of the community, kicked out of the church and disowned, and that is usually around 17 and then start spitting out puppies until they die in childbirth, after about 13 kids or so.

Everyone of course, is horrified and can't believe this of the dad. Apparently he was doing it to the older girls too, as far back as a few years before Danny's sister passed away. Why she didn't say anything I don't know. But they have this "honor thy father and mother" thing going on, and he has the kids manipulated into thinking this is what God wants of daughters...to fuck their dads? So...ok, let me get this right....you can't go to the doctor because that's evil and you will go go hell, but you can fuck your daughters?

GRRR......

So everyone is all revved up. Danny and I want to call the cops, and so does his uncle.

But when Danny talked to his Mom and brother this afternoon, they were at the court house, and they said now, the niece won't tell the cops. She won't talk to them about it. UGH! Fucking great. I called DHS here and asked what they suggested doing and they said to call the DHS in Idaho and they would take it from there. But the Sheriff said that the niece needs to get the dad to admit it on tape over the phone and then they can arrest him.

WTF?

So now I don't know what's going to happen. I was thinking of calling the Idaho DHS myself tomorrow to see what they would say.

When the niece confronted the dad, HIS dad was there too and told her to buck up, take it on the chin and that she deserved to be molested. They told her it was her fault that her mother was dead. It's hard to fathom.

The kids are at different people's houses now on the mother's side. Danny's Mom's, and his other brother's house. Another niece and a nephew went to get the rest of the kids and the dad said he would kill himself if they did. They didn't. But the next day, Danny's Mom and brother did. They are afraid that the state would take the kids and keep them, OR give them to the dad's side, which everyone is pretty much convinced now that they all are doing it to all the girls and have for decades, apparently.

I want to call Bill O'Reilly! He is a big child advocate and goes after judges that let child molesters go or just with a slap on the wrist.

But what can I do if the kids are too brainwashed to tell or too afraid to talk for fear of ridicule? As it is now, the girl has already had reprocussions from others in THE CHURCH.

It's a fucking cult. And they have been covering this shit up for years. I told Danny, that is how they can keep doing it to the kids...because it's kept in the dark. The time for shedding light has come!

Self-Regeneration Technique

08:03 Apr 04 2008

Manipura Self-Regeneration Technique

The human body has a storehouse for energy within the solar plexus, just as the sun stores energy for its planetary system. This energy is called Prana or Ki. It is the life force behind all things in our universe.

We can enervate more Ki to any depleted part of the body by using the mind, the nucleus of the body, to direct it to where it is needed. This activates the nucleus within the cells of the body in need of assistance.

Practise the Manipura self-healing method as follows:

lie down in a cornfortable position. Support any painful areas of your body with folded towels or pillows underneath. Repeat the words "ReiKi on" or "LeiKi on" 3 times and wish for your own healing to take place. Relax the feet, legs and lower trunk. Now feel the head. shoulders, aims, hands and upper trunk letting go.

Visualise your solar plexus area, the Manipura Chakra, being generated with a bright, luminous yellow healing streaming down from the sun above. This energy is re-filiing your own solar centre which is a ball of revolving energy radiation outwards.

Now, take your mind to the top of your head, feeling the scalp relax As the forehead smoothes out allow the relaxing energy to draw down your body to the solar plexus. Let the eyes sink back into the sockets and feel the eyelashes touching with the energy f1owine downwards. Lips together, teeth apart and jaw hanging loose see the energy continue down through the neck. Allow the shoulders to drop down, relaxing, as the energy t1ows downwards through the chest and ribs into the solar plexus. From the top of the spine to the mid-hack and from the fingers up through the arms, feel energy moving down to the solar plexus Chakra.

Visualise and feel the Manipura - solar plexus Chakra radiating more brightly

Clearly see in your mind's eye the toes and feet. Feel each foot falling outwards as you relax. Allow the energy in the feet to allow gently up to your solar plexus. Notice the calves loosening and thighs letting go. Draw the Ki energy upwards to the solar plexus area.

Feel the buttocks sinking down and the tummy releasing tension. Be aware of the energy moving upwards through those areas and the pelvis. From the hips up to the solar plexus. Through the spine to the mid-back.

Visualise and feel the Manipura - solar plexus Chakra radiating more brightly. Tune into your body and any part which is in pain or requires healing See and feel the solar plexus area full of ki energy which is a bright yellow colour.

Send the Manipura energy to relieve pain or to repair and heal any area of need. Visualise a stream of energy flowing tn that specific area and any dark spots filling with light from the solar plexus storehouse.

Keep pumping energy and light from the solar plexus to the weak parts of your body, until you feel it is sufficient

Now send the Ki energy from the Manipura Chakra back out to all parts of your body and be aware of a more balanced state.

Give thanks for your own healing which has taken place and thanks to the lei (God Love Energy) and Ki (Life Force Universal Energy).

Wriggle your fingers and toes. stretch your arms above your head and slowly move your body. Take deeper breaths in and out and come back up to surface.

You have connected your mind to the cell within and the universe without all of which has connected with the highest infinite light and love, described on planet earth in many ways

Press release from religious finatics

06:27 Apr 03 2008
Times Read: 1,282

I found the "press release" that the religious finatics released about the soldier that died, Chris Hake's funeral today, that they posted March 28th.

"Westboro Baptist Church

(WBC Chronicles - Since 1955)

3701 SW 12th St. Topeka, Kansas 66604

Religious Opinion and Bible Commentary on Current Events

Friday, March 28, 2008

NEWS RELEASE

God hates America, and

He is killing our troops in His wrath.

Thank God for IEDS.

This message is to be preached in respectful,

lawful proximity to the funeral of Staff Sgt.

Chris Hake - 2:45 p.m., Wed., Apr. 2 Oklahoma

Bible Academy,

5913 W. Chestnut Ave., Enid, Oklahoma.

Sgt. Hake gave his life to protect the

Constitutional right of WBC to warn America.

To deny us our First Amendment rights is to

declare to the world that Sgt. Hake died in

vain; and, America is a land of hypocrites.

These soldiers are dying for the homosexual

and other sins of America. God is now our

enemy, and God is fighting against America.

"Except the Lord build the house,

They labor in vain that build it;

Except the Lord keep the city,

The watchman waketh but in vain. "

Psa.127:1.

The Lord no longer builds the American house;

nor does the Lord watch over & keep America.

Lawless men like Patriot Guard Riders hate God.

PGRslobs are violent, cowardly, murderous liars.

To the PGR we say: "Ye are of your father the

devil, & the lusts of your father ye will do." In. 8:44."

Today was the funeral for Ssgt. Chris Hake

04:13 Apr 03 2008

UPDATE:

The funeral was today and the whole town showed it's love and respect for the soldier and his family. I could not see the protesters, only the HUGE support that everyone was showing. AND, the biker's were there! That's when I started crying, because a HUGE line of bikers were riding up to the place, with their big flags, standing in a line, protecting everyone going in.

I was able to get a seat inside and be there for half of the funeral.

Ssgt. Chris Hake had reinlisted to serve us all and that is when he was killed. They showed a slideshow of his life from childhood and it was very touching. You could tell from his birthday cakes as a child, that he was going to be a soldier. The cakes had army men and tanks on them.

Chris also had gone to Mexico to do voluntary mission work.

I saw his huge family; wife, parents, grandparents, and a ton of other relatives.

They showed a film and a choir sang for each branch of the military and all they do for each of us, so we can sleep safely, and even voice our opinions freely.

There was also a guy playing the bagpipes.

I had to leave early but it was a lovely service and I was so glad to see the whole town supporting Chris and his family. The protesters were not from here. I don't know where they are from originally, but they aren't from Oklahoma.

I will put up pictures as soon as I can of this. I took quite a few as I was driving. It was hard to do because of all the bumper to bumper traffic. There were also cops everywhere and secret cops at the funeral.

NOTE:

I am sure the protesters were there, just that they were there earlier than everyone else was there, as it's law that they can't be there an hour before or after a funeral. So they were there, but thankfully we didn't see them, nor the family, that I know of.

Indoor train

Yesterday was cold. It was nice out, but it was too chilly to be spring. =( I was looking longingly out the window and Danny asked me if I wanted to go for a walk? I said, "No, it's too cold.", pouting. He said, "You want to walk around the house?". I said "Yes!", and so we did. He took my hand and we walked around our 700 square feet house. We stopped by Harmony's room and grabbed her too, so we were a small train walking around the house. It was such a ridiculous sight and we all were laughing about it. I was leading the way, and wove us in through the rooms, even the small bathroom. We finally had to stop because we were getting dizzy. Small house.....3 people.

Lounging fun

A conversation with Danny about an hour ago, while lounging before he went to work.

Jamie: "Would you take one to the face for a million dollars?".

Danny: "Is it cash, check, money order, what?".

Jamie: "Cash.".

Danny: "Depends on who it is.".

Jamie: "Samuel L. Jackson.".

Danny: "Yea, I'd brag about it!".

Jamie: "How about Monte?". (Monte was this guy that really screwed Danny over and just about everyone else in town and is rich on top of that!)

Danny: "No. You couldn't pay me.".

Jamie: "How about Jim Stout? Would you take it in the face for Jim Stout?". (Jim Stout was my boss in 1992; an old, religious man that was nice to me.)

*pause, silence*

Danny: "Shuddup!".

*laughing*

Jamie: "How about Gopher from Loveboat? Would you take one in the face from Gopher? Or how about Issac? *motioning Issac's classic hand gesture at Danny*"

*more laughing*

Danny: "Would you take a money shot in the face for Gopher?!".

Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Hake ---RIP

Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Hake ---RIP

Wednesday, April 2nd, there is going to be a funeral here for Staff Sgt. Christopher M. Hake that died in Iraq. He is from here and after the service, he will be buried April 8 at 3 p.m. in Arlington National Cemetery. He used to be a guard there.

Now the kicker. There is going to be some religious freaks protesting at the funeral. I can't believe that. And what perplexes me even more is that it's on a very hateful website called, www.godhatesfags.com. I don't understand why they are going after this kid. He was a wonderful father, husband and all around good guy. He was cute too. He wasn't gay though. ?

Look at the site and see some of what they wrote on the scheduled protests. AND, it's the same people that were taped and I had it in my journal from last month! How ironic! I guess now we will get a look at these freaks.

http://www.godhatesfags.com/schedule.html

We are planning on going to the funeral and joining the family side and stand against the hate crowd. I just can't believe that is happening here. I have seen it on FOX news before happening back East. I need to find another group of supporters though and not sure where to find them. I only found out about all of these injustice today, though I had known about the funeral and had hoped to make it there.

The following is an exerpt from the page on the site (the link I posted above). I can't believe that is written for others to see! It makes you wonder if it could possibly be for real!

04/04/2008 12:15 PM - 1:00 PM Bonner Springs, KS Bonner Springs United Methodist Church 425 W. Morse Ave. This is for the funeral of Mark A. Holmes, who was killed in a car accident with a truck. He was killed for the sins of Doomed america. You have taught your sons and daughters all across america to be filthy, impudent whores and bastards, none of which are worth a nickel nor serve God in Truth. There are no innocent victims in america: God sent the Truck! You turned the country over to the fags, and you enabled them and continue to rebel against the God that CREATED YOU, WHO HOLDS THE BREATH OF YOUR LIFE IN HIS HANDS, and yet you continue to be stiffhearted and a rebellious house. You have had the warnings from God, Kansas and america...be thankful that we are still here warning you, because when the time comes that the Lord Jesus Christ returns in POWER AND GLORY, YOU --> that's right, YOU, are going to be in more trouble than Sodom and Gomorrah, whom you had an example from, a more sure word of prophecy. There is no ground third ground for which you to stand on: OBEY, or be CURSED. america is Doomed! Amen.

And there goes $238 bucks down the drain

On the way home last night, Danny got pulled over for speeding. I think it's only his second ticket in his life, the first one being because he was barefeet driving. He was pretty upset about it.

Being Jamie, I had to snap me a picture of the cop. Danny was mortified, but not surprised, as that was not out of character for me.

Once, when a friend backed into the gas meter and it was leaking gas, I had to call the cops to come. I told her to go home because I was afraid her running car would cause an explosion. Don't ask me, we were drunk. *laughing*

When the cops got there, I was video taping the whole thing, from the fire trucks to the cop talking to me. He asked me why I was filming him and I told him it was for my records. haha....eh, blame COPS for that.

Where to spend the moolah.

My Dad sent this email to me.

"Tax Rebate

President George Bush said each one of us would

get a $600.00 tax rebate. It was previously slated to be

$800.00, but they dropped it to a $600.00 tax rebate

because of various budget problems.

Now, if we spend that money at Wal-Mart,

all the money will go to China, if we spend it on

computers, most of the money will go to Korea or India.

If we spend it on gasoline it will all go to the Arabs

.....and none of these scenarios will help the American

economy.

We need to keep that money here in America .....so the

only way to keep that money here at home is to drink beer,

gamble, or spend it on prostitution. Currently it seems that

these are the only businesses still left in the U.S."

Comment about the hater

05:48 Apr 01 2008

Comments regarding Sally Kern, the homophobic chick that is a representitive here in Oklahoma, for some reason.

"Brian McGolden of Oklahoma City: "I am not a homosexual, but I am a member of the National Guard. As such, I have been deployed overseas twice now. I was attacked on several occasions while there and I still suffer from its effects to this day. That was just two years of my life. The other 31 years have been here, around homosexual and straight people. I have never been shot at, blown up or terrorized in any way by a homosexual. Her comments are not only ignorant but insulting to me and the rest of my

guardsmen and women. We know who is more dangerous. She has no idea what is dangerous in her safe, warm and cozy life. She should not only apologize to homosexuals but to our armed forces."

Friend stamp me

I have gotten two friend stamps. I am wondering what to do with them. I could make a slide box for them and future ones I suppose, as I don't really want to just toss 'em. Are there many people with friend stamps around to add more to the box?
