there are people and there are people

and i wonder why people believe they have the right to expect other people to be more than a person. more than what they are

how the expectations to be more than imperfect people weigh heavily on some. bowed down under the weight of what others require of them.

the powerful the well known... don't expect too much of them

they are not Infallible

they have more opportunities to screw up, but that doesn't mean anyone else has any right to condemn them



yet so many act shocked when someone well known makes a mistake.. like they don't do the same crap

my friend comes to me and says "hey, do you remember that song we used to listen to back in the 90's that says something about girls in bikinis?" of course i point out we listened to a lot of music back in the 90s and while that tickles something in my memory i need more to go on. she says "All i remember is there is fast singing or talking and then he says something about girls in bikinis"

lord have mercy now i have to figure out what song this is and all i have to go on is that it's a male singer, we listened to the song along time ago and something about girls in bikinis..

she thought it was Sebadoh, but the song i recall by them is Ocean, and there's no mention of girls in bikinis despite the association of both with the beach



i have ruled out Vanilla Ice though... i asked her if that was it and she rolled her eyes and said "there would be something seriously wrong with us if we listened to vanilla ice all the time"

well, it was a while ago, i could have blocked the memory you know.
