The company I work for is always performing community services, raising money for worthy causes and reaching out in any way we can to try and make our communities better places.
On our recent conference in Santa Ana, we took an afternoon to do some clean-up work for the local Boys & Girls Clubs...
I was trying to be positive about this job at that time, but it was a false positive.
The job was horrible, and yes, the "company" was always doing something philanthropic, but it was always the workers doing the work, contributing the effort, giving the money, and the company taking credit for it.
Probably getting a nice tax break from it all too.
It was shit. It was a horrible job with mostly horrible people, but it taught me some solid lessons.

Our drink tickets for tonight are the same yellow tickets they used for a raffle on Monday night.
Brilliantly, I kept the raffle tickets. Now I can get 12 drinks instead of 2.
