Looking forward to the short work week next week.

It will be another busy thanksgiving weekend. After all the family stuff, the Disco will take up most of Saturday.

Going to have to start popping the pain pills on Wednesday to just ready for it.

My son asked me to help him work on his car this weekend.

He came over to help me work on the house last weekend.

These are good things. We've all been so busy lately I haven't spent much time with them.

Tonight is "graduation" from the fellowship program. All three of my kids are joining me for the event.

I'm so grateful they can, and are choosing to.

Those are the times that are precious. Every moment I get to spend with my children is cherished. My oldest being of adult age and no longer living at home I do not get to see near as often as I would like due to school and work and over all distance but we talk in some form almost daily and that means the world to me. I am glad you are getting this time with them and to share moments together. :)

That's great. And parents do need to understand that, too. Their mom has this whole thing about being clingy with them, missing when they were fully dependent on her. But aren't you parenting them with the goal of them being good people? Having their own lives? Seeing them thrive? Gotta let go, accept their growth, and appreciate the time you get with them.

Absolutely! In my case, it's the oldests bio dad that causes the grief but he causes anxiety and heartache for the kid.... I've explained it's because he is a controlling person and has lost that control over her since she needs him for nothing. Glad I don't have to deal with him anymore but to hear how he does my kid.... grrrrr..... I am glad that I know I gave her the courage and life lessons to live her life and she is kicking ass at it too. :) She knows that I am here if she ever needs me. :)

Yes! Similarly my ex has control issues she has never really dealt with. Letting go is not in her tool box. It causes stress for the kids at times.

Going to have a night of solitude and photo editing tonight.

Debating what I should do for dinner.

1. Order out
2. Make a sammich
3. Cook something elaborate
4. Run to the market and just buy a bunch of stuff

What say you?

Order out. If you go to the market that interrupts the solitude vibes... Cooking something elaborate takes away from the editing time, and a sammich.. that's just not a proper dinner to fuel an evening of working. Ohhh I know... order out for something elaborate!

HAHA! Settled on defrosting some chicken noodle soup. I always make extra to have "one of these days" so why not...

Got the greenhouse covered with a translucent tarp to help protect it for the winter, and hopefully insulate it a bit better so it retains some warmth going into this month.

Still have to set up my heater, but it's doing ok right now.
