As it turns out, I didn't go into town today. I'm going tomorrow instead, to meet Emilie. :) It's going to be so much fun. We've not really had a chance to chat or catch up on things since I left school last year. And some old friends who I haven't even seen since June last year will be there too :)
I'll be glad to get out and be with friends *like a normal teenager*, my mum says. I asked her: *what do you mean?* she replied *What nineteen year old girl spends three hours watching a dvd of Jane Eyre and then moaning about even the tiniest inconsistencies between the book and the programme? And shows me the exact parts of the book they missed out?*
........I get her point ;)..........I do need to get out more.

I can't contact my friend, so I'm going to go into town, sort out things at the jobcenter, and then go to my Nanna's house and play Guitar Hero.
** Guitar Hero belongs to my Uncle, not my Nanna. She got confused when she tried to play it. ;)
***Also, I'm going to be working on an article for here, about the Guildhall in Leicester. It's a shame I haven't got any batteries for my camera coz I'd love to take some pictures to put in it. Maybe I'll be able to scare some up, or hope the ones I have in it will last.

This is being typed without me wearing my glasses, so if you get randomly spelled words, that's why.
Well, I got bored. So what do I do when bored? Yep. Dyed my hair. It's going to be blonde-ish. I'm using a hair lightener. I'll tell if it's worked after 20 mins. My hair had gone a god awful mix of blonde, brown and black (in patches) after I came back from holidays. So I decided to dye it. I love my hair black, but it really does drain my complexion, so I'm aiming to get it to the colour it used to be when I was little.
Anyway, I could have structured this a whole lot better and made my point a whole lot clearer, but my eyes hurt now so I'm going to go for a bit.

I have to go into town today, to enjoy the experience of doing a Rapid Reclaim at the Jobcentre. Whoop-de-f******-do. They'll have stopped it by now because they buggered up the dates of when I was meant to go in, and because I was on Holiday. Meh.
To cheer myself up after all of that, I'm going to buy myself the new version of Halloween on dvd and watch it tonight.
And then finish reading Hannibal Rising. :)
Hopefully, I should hear if I have the job at the hospital soon. I have to take in a form to the HR lady. Why I can't just post the feckin thing to her (instead of making an half hour bus ride there, half hours walk to the hospital, then half hour bus journey back.) I don't know.
Mum was saying that as long as I give her £400 a month for board (if I get the job, that is) and food, I'll have about £500 a month for myself. To do with what I want. Holy Crap!
First thing I'm going to buy? A sidekick or BlackBerry :) So I can be on VR wherever I am.
Then maybe a new laptop.
Then.....clothes.....shoes........PhotoShop.....
:D I better get it now :) The pull of mobile broadband be too strong ;)

What shall I do today? Hmmm. Good news is I don't have to go to work until five pm today, as I did a shift swap with someone. Kinda nice not having to get up super early after working til eleven fifteen the night before.
As Saturday is the day I spend with my dad, I'll call him in a bit, see what we'll be doin'. Hopefully it will involve copious amounts of coffee. Mum's just got back from her friends, so I'll be going now. I'll have to clean/ unpack my case or something.

This is just a quick note for everyone. I'm gonna be superdy-duper busy today because I'm going on Holiday tomorrow. That means no VR for an entire week. :(
Now I've got to pack my case (which takes all of half an hour. Yeah, my wardrobe is THAT tiny) and then just generally make sure everything is clean. (Why do people clean the house before going on holiday? It'll be dirty when you get back, anyway) and have a huge cuddle with my cat. Momma hates leaving the baby.
And after that? I don't know what. Maybe play on my new game :) Yep, I got my disk drive working. And I got it fixed for free :P
It seems that, if you have ITunes, it corrupts something or other on your disk drive. But, the nice tech guy at PC World fixed it for me :) He says lots of people have had that problem.
Also, I'm going to miss ChaosBleed so much. I'll text you :) And I'll have holiday pics to put up :) I'll do stupid ones just for you. I gotta beat your Lara Crpft pic somehow. ;) ♥

Morning all :) Ya know, I fully intend to stick with what I said about rating. I'm going to (eventually) rate all the profiles and portfolios.
But. One thing. Wanting to give a fair, honest rate is clashing with wanting to rate things quickly. (Like with firefox, I can rate about fifteen things in five minutes :p) So........what to do?........I know. Rate all of the Houses and Covens first. Then I can go onto all the rest of the profiles........all the Whelps.......which I'm thinking of rating about a five.......I mean........they had enough brains to be able to make an account here ;)
Well.....off I go.
And one more thing. No-one has (of yet) made any comments on my new journal sections. Or left comments in them. I like reading comments. Makes me feel loved ;)
Oh Lord. Ten minutes into rating and I'm already babbling.......this is NOT good.....

And I'm done! Rated every new entry in the VDB and any members articles I hadn't already. Clears the way for me to start rating profiles tomorrow. That's going to be kinda hard for me, because on most things, I do rate a ten. Certainly with the VDB and member articles. I figure that the person who had written said piece has put a heck of a lot of effort into it.
But, with profiles.....eh.....I rate what I think is right. HTML, originality, pictures, good content- gets a ten. I rarely, if ever, rate a 1. But with some new profiles, I do. If the person has no content (and has added none since joining for a few days) it's a one. If it's offensive and/or racist or homophobic, it's a 1. If they just put *I'm Hott* or *Just ask* it's a 1. Also, if someone has rated a profile a 10 and it has NOTHING in it, it's a 1.
So it could take me some amount of time to rate all of them, and I really wanted to do it fastly. Oh well. I'll start from the top and work my way down. ;)

I never thought I'd say this, but rating the VDB is a breeze. :) Especially since I took the plunge and rated it ALL in basically one whole day. Now all I have to do is look out for new things, so I'm going through all the categories a whole lot quicker. :)
I'm going to see how much I can get done tonight and then carry on tomorrow. If I do start rating profiles, I'll have to start from the oldest to the newest. I'm not ready for the Newb's just yet. lol.

Must be smilin' down on me. :) First I find out my evil boss has left, then that I'm shortlisted for the biomedical lad assistant job, and now I've just applied for a job as a Mortuary Assistant. :) That's really what I'd like to do, and it seems the Karma Gods have decided to throw some good mojo my way :).

Well, after about an hour, and much yelling and cursing, my profile is fixed up. Shiny new scroll boxes with backgrounds, and a new media player background, and.........*mind blank* well, lots of HTML fixing/doing. Yep, just a couple more things to do on it now, like do stuff for the navigation box I want to put in. Much thanks go to the Guardians of Darkness profile help page. Half the stuff I've done wouldn't be there if it wasn't for them. :) To show my gratitude, I've put up the banner.
And I also need new divider bars. I'm trying to get everything (including the music......well, the first song at least) to tie in with the background.
Now I'm going to go look at the list I did for myself in the entry below to see what I still need to do. :)
So I'm not quite done with it, but I've done enough to make myself happy.

I know I have a lot of stuff to be doing on here. Sort of. Mind wandering, hence the rambling, doesn't-make-one-bit-of-sense journal entry ahead.
I just feel too tired and generally lazy to do anything.
I need to go to the shops and buy some more cigarettes and a paper.
I need to look through said paper for any jobs I want to apply for.
I need to do a nice picture with paintshop WITHOUT throwing a hissy fit because I *can't do it*.
And I need to do a bunch of stuff in the coven.
And tidy up my journal.
And my profile.
Screw it. I'm going to take a nice walk upto the shop, get what I need from there (including, but not limited to, the world's supply of cola) and then crack on with what need doing here.
It's a nice sunny day, I might get a base tan, Angelus is kindly going to send me photo-shop cs2, and Blade Trinity is on tonight. ;)

But this does mean I'll have to pretend to have e.coli or typhoid next week so I can go on Holiday without work knowing, seeing as the mean manager (the one who left) wouldn't let me have the time off.

There's a few things I want to talk about. Some nonsensical and rambling. ;) This is going to be a kinda "mixed-bag" journal entry.
First, I miss you Del. I hope work is going fantastic for you. And, I ♥ the new avatar. Yay Blade pic!!! I gotta stop staring at it, heh. Can't wait to speak with you soon. ♥ and *mwah*
Secondly, remember me mentioning my asshat boss? Well, he's LEFT! and what's more, he got demoted too. I feel guilty about being pleased about that, but I am. He was such a dick, no-one at the store would stick up for him- hence being demoted. I did wish him well though. Conscience poking me there.
Thirdly, I hope SO much I get the job I went on the interview for a couple of months back. They said the response could be up to three months, due to the CRB checks everyone has to have. I mean, employing a psychotic maniac wouldn't be very wise. But then again they did ask for a reference for me ;). One of my aunt's friends who is a Nurse said that they wouldn't ask for a reference unless they were thinking about hiring you.
Fingers crossed peeps!. I figured out, at the lowest payscale of the job, I'd have a thousand pounds and change a month. That means I can get my own place, finally. I can spread my wings and *fly the nest* I think mum would be relieved. No more mess for her to clear up ;)
Fourthly, I need to get better at photoshop. Seriously. I'd like to buy an actual photoshop programme. CS2. It's what I feel comfy using, having downloaded the trial version. Saying that, I did a cool avatar (entry below) with paintshop. But it's too big to upload to VR. -_- crap.
And fifth? I'm not even sure there is a fifth.
But maybe this'll do.
I've seen journals and profile on here of people I greatly admire. Some I know and some I don't. I always thought *damn, I want to be like them, be able to express myself how they do* and while that is a good thing, you should embrace your individuality. It is, after all, what makes you you. Don't try to be something you're not. Be yourself. Listen to your heart and what it tells you. Be confident and believe in yourself. It's better to be who and what you are and feel comfortable, rather than try to fit in with a certain group and feel miserable. Do what you want to do, say what you want to say, be who you want to be. In the end, that's all that counts. What you think. No-one else. They can't make decisions for you, though sometimes they think they can. Be true to yourself, and the rest will fall into place.
And yes. I am slightly drunk. But I find it makes me talk and express things more. And no, I'm not dancing like Shakira just yet. ;)
