I know the feeling. I have been there many times. I hate suggesting this. But if you were to take some Advil or Tylenol PM, you might be able to work through at least eight hours of sleep.

Whats missing?

I woke up a few days ago at the back of four in the morning with a sudden and stark realisation.

Somethings missing.

I dont mean, i've lost my wallet, car keys mobile or anything like that. Something is missing from my life.

I've spent the last few days taking stock and reflecting on my life, i have everything i need, by that i mean the deep fundemental stuff.

I have Shelter

I have a steady supply of food

I have a degree of financial stability

I have social interactions

I realised what it was this morning, i am missing a challenge

My friends all say its the challenge of a relationship im missing, yes i've been single for a while now, well ok maybe more than a while now. (is it abd i cant remember the last relationship i was in?)

And maybe thats the case, personally im not 100% sure.

I know i bitched and moaned about the alst 9 months at work, but it got my blood pumping (yes i know it pushed my blood pressure through the roof and nearly cvaused a stress related meltdown), got me fired up and passionate about something, it gave me somthing to fight for.

I miss the thrill of a chase, the adrenaline pumping epicness of racing cars along country roads, the thrill of strapping a plank of wood to my feet and hurling myself down a mountain.

I miss something and im not sure what to do about it.

oh and found out yesterday im officially a fat bastard, now weigh in at a lardy 15 stone :( time to hit the pool again.

I've no diea wheere this came from, kinda broadsided me and slapped me up side the head while staring out the window at the rain coursing down the windowpane.

15:29 figured out where this came from, its the after effect of a migraine from yesterday and the chemical altering drugs, most painkillers just work on supressing the nerve impulses for pain these things i take for a migraine apparently rework the chemicals in my head to kill the migraine.

Feeling numb and disconnected today.

Have you ever noticed how things change over the course of time?

Your perception of the world, your friendships, taste in clothes, music films etc. Everything changes over time, as we grow and develop into the people we are.

The person you were yesterday is not the same person you are today and not the same person you will be tomorow... or is this the case?

Aspects of your old self will always follow with you, you develop a core belief and a core perception that sticks through all the changes you go through in your life.

What happens to us "old souls" we retain our perceptions, moral beliefs and values for a very long time, at times people say we are stuck, or living life in a rut, ot updating and refreshing ourselves, are we simply more true to ourselves? not feeling the need to constantly adapt and change?

I have noticed the changes in life; most of it was neccessary, even if I didn't like it.
