Sorry, I am a bit irritated over my profile being bombed because I rated a person an 8 for having 3 pictures in their portfolio. I will be better after I fume a bit as it lowers my Coven's Status. I personally do not care for me but as a team player I care for the results against the Coven.

Lady Kali Ma and Lord Shiva are the deities I pray to most often. I am a Dark pagan not a Wiccan and am not a creature of the light. I understand and consider Death as a third Deity facet in my personal religion.



Yes, few understand that Lady Kali Ma and Lord Shiva each are creators and destroyers and as such keep balance in the Universe. The Lady is both death and life as is her consort. Most run from them as they are the Dark personifications of these aspects. There are way too many "fluffy bunny white lighter Wiccans" out there and very few Nocturnal Dark Pagans. So many still equate Dark as being synonymous with Evil but they are not even comparable qualities. They need to read some of Konstantinos Dark Pagan books and develop some understanding.



Sir, intent is all that matters in determining good or evil in an action. The method or type of action is unimportant as harm only occurs in the course of self defense or defense of others.



People develop their moral framework or lack of in deciding if they are good or evil in their life styles. Light and dark contrast as well as good and evil but dark and evil do not compare as good and light do not equate.



I have not practiced Necromancy as my psychic abilities are now some what limited. I live with very strong psychic vampires and have had to strongly shield myself to prevent being drained. I can thank the Lady that I can still gather and manipulate energies of Darkness, the Elements, and Death in my workings. I tend to be minimalist in my actions in that I use very few tools in most ritual work and tend to work normally through simple prayerlike spells to the Lady, Lord, or Death.



Sorry for ranting but it is an irritation to me also.

Mardi Gras Louisiana X 2

Every one that knows of Mardi Gras thinks of the New Orleans Mardi Gras celebration. There is another side to Mardi Gras that most that do not live in Southern Louisiana know nothing. The Cajun Mardi Gras celebrations in southern Louisiana communities in what is called Acadiana, the part that is still rural French Cajun. Acadiana celebrates in a fashion that has costuming but involves going from place to place on horseback or in flat bottomed boats called pirogues "begging for ingredients for the communal meal".









Chasing a chicken as part of the meal is a fun part. :)







But , Mon Cher, there will always be music. ;)

Traveling. Leaving my bootprints by the Rhein River, Volksmarch trails or castle courtyards in Germany. Trudging through the sands of time on the Giza plateau by the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx. Standing in the Persian Gulf with the Needles of Kuwait behind me. Hearing the sounds of fighter jets takeoff from Dahran Airbase in Saudi Arabia.



Louisiana is OK just very dull when all you do is work and travel no more than 50 miles from farthest points in my range and domain.

Coven Disbanded and in New Coven

On 15 January I found I was in a new Coven because the one I had been an ACM of had been disbanded. I am finding the new Coven a pleasant change. There is much activity, talk, and friendliness. It reminds me of my days in the Umbrae Octo House. The old coven was dead and waiting to be buried. It is sad that it could not be revived as it had potential. Maybe some time in the future the Chimera will rise and DMM will be back.



I am participating and doing all I can to contribute to favor earning. In four days I have earned 408 favor with a start of 13, 012 favor.



I am working hard to max out data base posts as I have maxed out page points and rating points. Time is my enemy for leveling up as no matter how hard I work I cannot move the clock's hands faster.

King Cakes

One of the most popular foods during Mardi Gras is the king cake, consumed by the carload and traditionally sold in bakeries, grocery stores and delis from January 6 to Ash Wednesday. Locals and visitors alike eat king cake for breakfast, coffee break, and dessert. In fact, almost any excuse to grab a slice will do.



The tradition of king cake dates back to the Middle Ages when a popular devotion during Christmas was placed on the Three Wise Men (or Kings) who followed the North Star to find Christ. The twelfth night after the birth of Christ marks the end of Christmas and the celebration of Epiphany. Thus, Twelfth Night in some cultures became a time for pageants and giving special presents to children. Along with gifts came the celebratory cake, or king cake.



Today's king cake is a confection made of braided Danish pastry, laced with cinnamon. It is always iced in the Mardi Gras colors of purple (justice), green (faith) and gold (power). Hidden in each king cake is a tiny plastic baby. The person who finds the baby must buy the next king cake or host the next party. Contemporary king cakes are often filled with cream cheese, fruit fillings, such as apple or strawberry, and other fillings.



They are sinfully delicious. :)
