I really can't stand...

When men ask for your honesty and don't like it when I give it.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not mean about my honesty. I break the truth and honesty to them easy. I still get shit and cursed at plus immature behavior.

Take for example, I went out on a date a few weeks ago. We promised each other we would be honest on how we felt and if the spark isn't there, then we'd be open and tell each other. After our date (in which I paid my half and no hanky spanky went on), I told him I wasn't feeling him more than a friend. He got REALLY mad. He threw his coffee cup (filled with hot coffee) at a pole, almost hitting someone. Then he started to tear up. I was shocked. I don't mind someone being emotional but the rage that came out.... I couldn't console him in anyway even though he wanted my honest opinion.

At the end of the night, he wanted to take me home. I insisted I was fine in an uber...he wanted my address. I said I wasn't giving it to him. He asked I text him when I got home. When I did just that, I got a slew of duragtory comments, curses and threats.

And all I said was...I had a great time but I must be honest as we agreed...I only see you as a platonic friend.

To think at my age, men would be more mature. I even told him that I wasn't the only woman in the world. The right one for him will come along.....

Sigh. I don't know what else to do in this dating thing. I gave up dating for a long while and now I think I'm gonna put it on hold once again.

Ok. End of rant.

Wow, that dude is not for sure a gentleman. If he react like that on your first date, think if you date the guy for six month and then decided to end the relationship. With that temper, I don't want to think what he will do to you. I always tell my "people" around me, especially the women, when you are going out for a date, make it clear from the beginning as what to expect, and if he or she doesn't like it, do not go to the date. The men of today, are not the same as 3 or 4 decades ago. Glad that you are OK.

So much drama for a simple casual date. You were better off finding out early on, rather than later.
