“There is nothing so certain in our fears that’s not yet more certain in the fact that most of what we dread comes to nothing.,"-Seneca

What this means to me is that we shouldn't spend so much time(any time, really)worrying unnecessarily and unceasingly.

I believe I saw this quote years ago, back when I'd worry about every little thing(worry stressed me out and contributed to the major depression I had then). When I saw this quote something sort of clicked in me. I decided then and there that i wouldn't worry about anything couldn't fix, and even then to not allow myself those thoughts for longer than it took to work then through my mind once. It became habit and now I mostly don't even worry at all(when I do, I am thinking of possible solutions to my stressors rather than freaking out uncontrollably); I turned unproductive and stressful worrying into going through solutions or letting it go.
I know it is different when the worry is about a sick loved one or such, but the vast majority of my worrying has been taking care of in better ways.....

Next time you find yourself getting lost in your worries, ask yourself whether you can solve them...if so make a plan. And if you can't solve your worries, find someone who can or start letting them go
