Poison
I look into the crowd
Watching, waiting
Not making a sound
My eyes are upon the ground
The anger I feel inside
Is totally mine
I will not share it with anyone
For it keeps me alive
My heart is like a rock
It lies heavy in my chest
If I allow it to beat
I will just be like all the rest
Looking, judging
Making fun
of those who are unique
Taking their dreams away
When they have just begun
Misery seeks company
All of those empty souls
Who lack the intelligence
To be totally whole
I refuse to lay down and die
No matter what you do to me
I will dry my tears
I will refuse to let you see
The inner me
A frozen smile
Lies upon my face
White skin, dark eyes
Blends into this empty place
Once again I lift myself up
And wipe away the poison
Thrown on me by so many
Who would see me shunned,
See me fail
As I look into the crowd
My soul weeps heavy tears
I won't give you the satisfaction
Of seeing me die, inside
Not in a million years
My anger burns steadily
It is totally mine
I won't share it with anyone

I am used to being alone
Traveling the continent
Seems like heaven sent

Never to be seen again
The stormy skies beckon me
