Meet my new character;
The Leopard
The leopard is perched way up high,
Watching his victim as he walks by.
Not knowing the leopard is there,
The man walks by without a care.
The man shivers as a chill runs up his spine,
Is it the weather or does he know it’s approaching his time?
Alert and ready the leopard sniffs the air,
‘run if you like human, run if you dare’.
The man adjusts his coat and pulls down his sleeves,
As he walks on kicking away the autumn leaves.
Thinking about the fresh kill he had made,
He never would’ve guessed his own graved had been paved.
A small smirk fell across his face,
With the power he had now he longed to embrace.
No guilt or remorse as he took that woman’s life,
It didn’t matter at all that she was someone’s mother and wife.
The leopard shifted, a subtle move,
All confident and ready, he had nothing to prove.
This kill would be easy, he could go straight for the throat,
Taking down the man in the tan trench coat.
The leopard sprang from the tree attacking so fast,
An easy kill this would be but he wanted it to last.
He wanted the human to pay for what he had done,
So with this kill he thought he would have a little fun.
He sank his teeth into the human’s side,
Nevermind the screaming, yelling and pulling at his hyde.
The mortal wound was almost more than the man could bare,
As pain rippled through his body with every vicious tare.
The man’s eyes were wild with pain and fear,
As reality hit him he knew the end was near.
Before the leopard allowed the man to die,
He wanted the man to know exactly why.
This was no coincident that he was chosen this night,
There was a purpose for this, tonight and this fight.
The leopard shift into human form,
Within his eyes the fury of the passing storm.
“You killed my sister and yet they call me a beast,
With your body and blood tonight I shall feast.
I want you to suffer I want you to be scared,
I want you to know exactly how much I cared.
About the lives you shattered and torn apart,
I will eat you alive than at last your heart.
For every bite that I take you will be awake,
I will watch you suffer with every move I make.
Blood spilled out the human’s mouth,
As he spat the words, ‘please just kill me now.’
But death won’t come, not just yet,
It was way too soon to try to forget.
Anger and rage a blurry mix,
As the leopard fought for dominance.
The human inside the leopard remained,
As composure and self control he had gained.
“There is one more thing I want you to know,,
I am the leopard that killed you, my name is John Snow.”
