IF I WAS...
If I was a bird my wings wouldn’t be shattered. My soul unbroken but strong as blood is thick, My heart so small but beating in my chest its mighty though kind & lovely sweet. May I show my pain with the stories of this crumbling life, that isn’t mine. For a life with a broken wing isn’t much, if you can’t fly to see the ravishing greatness of the world. So I weep for evermore turning all thy land into the ocean. Until thy one takes me under their wings & forever in their hearts shall the world be restored.

When you can't scream your heart out

Because your mouth is sewn shut

It’s not called pain

It’s called suffering

But we deal with it

We have to deal with it for the oath that can’t be shattered is woven into us

Our body’s thin and frail

For we had stopped eating

We don’t drink nor sleep

So, we shuffle our feet together in a rhythm of lost souls with the forgotten and shattered

Dragging the heavy chains of sorrow and pain

For our thought must have stopped because it hurts to think

Even our minds were like glass fragile

We kept a wall upholding are thoughts from us hidden like secrets that were too heavy to bear

Though once in a full moon those walls turn to dust falling and crumbling

For So many thoughts go by our minds

But we must & have just stop thinking

For we know our souls have stopped hoping

Every one of us knew that we had no choice

Finding us staring into the eyes of a horrid beast

Forever since then we never looked up or cried out in pain
