I recently got some tearful messages from people here on VR, who are being bashed, harassed on VR because they're gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, tarns or single mothers. A lot of them have left VR because of this behaviour.
You know it really pisses me off when i read this kind of thing, on a social network. When I joined VR it was for one thing. To meet people into occult lifestyles such as Vampires, Pagans, Satanists, Otherkin communities. It never entered my mind to enquire as to your sexual orientation, or practises.

Even if someone identifies as either, that's their damned right. This is a social network. The key word being "SOCIAL." Anyone who abuses others because they're different in person lifestyle is bloody
inexcusable! It makes you look the dogs breakfast, in my opinion, and shows lack of maturity. The abuse has been mainly by religious nutters who've come onto the site, fully knowing this was a Vampire site and spread messages of ignorance, and hatred. Well, you can go SOD OFF!
It's wrong, plain and simple, and you should be ashamed. And, anyone who receives these messages should forward them to an admin, and keep the messages saved as proof. In fact, depending on what state you live in, it's actually a crime. It is in California, where I reside.
Discrimination is wrong. If you really have a problem with it, that's your right. However it's not your right to shove down the throats of others.

I also have a few friends of certain sexual persuasion. And it breaks my heart to see them getting bashed. Unless you plan on getting into a serious relationship with them..it's really is NONE of your business whom they prefer.

Agreed. People spend to much time in bullying people because of their sexual orientation when they should be worrying about more important stuff. Just because a person is gay doesn't change who they are. They are still a person, gay or straight, their personality is the same. They are who they are no matter what.

Even if said on-line words can hurt for real.
I find this a bit strange, considering I see quite a number of people claiming their bi/homosexual orientation on here.

i agree and think it is cause they are afraid of what they don't understand and i thought this site was a place where others can get together and find people like them.... for who am i to judge or who is anyone to pass judgement on others

I agree, no one deserves to be ridiculed for their beliefs or sexual orientation. One should be care what they say, once the words are out there, they can never be taken back. Your thoughts become words, your words become actions, your actions become habits, your habits become your character. Be careful what you do, you never know how it will affect another person.

If in fact something did happen then be certain to obtain copys of the material, too often when I first came to this site I was taken in by someone claiming to be a victim only to find them out as trolls. So it pays to be skeptical to a degree with claims of bashing.

I've seen many cruelties thrown pulled on others based on there race sexual preference or religion, I seriously despise people who do this, its none of their concern what my or anyone elses personal preferences are.

Unluckily even VR is not an Utopia. You cant agree with and be liked by everyone even on here. Just a reminder, the staff doesnt get involved in disputes but if you know somewhere else where it can be reported than do it. Bullying and discrimination are bad in any form. Someone might even come here to troll, because it is indeed strange.

not agreeing or approoving or even licking is no excuse to "bully" insults or do any negative actions or such.
You can hate a race, religion, sexual orientation, even doritos or pepsi, its fine, you can, what is wrong is "attacking" or causing harm to those who like that or are different.
ps I do not hate doritos btw. But I do hate pickel chips.

I've been a member for 6 years and have rarely heard of this, but the thought of another being harassed because of their sexuality is alarming... but VR has always been the most accepting of places, and hearing this is disappointing....
