When I first came to this place, I knew nothing really of 'vampires' or 'Strigoi Vii' or the black veil or the masquerade and had never read an Anne Rice novel...so, with naivete, I posted questions on what it means to be this way, looking for some sense of the universal truth of vampirism...a central core of beleif which crossed all of the legends and exposed the myths, to give me something to base my experiences on...I came to find advice and the like minded and have been given support from some people generous people, but it was really hard to understand at first, with so many not so much opposing, but different, yet equally percept views of this condition, I struggled to find validity and have been often berated for what I assume was taken as an attempt by me to discredit or offend, but was actually innocence of purpose in my search for understanding of myself.
what I am getting at is that I have the same questions as many of these threads and while I appreciate that much of the answers to these type of questions can be found in the database and in writings, or even in long dead threads, people such as I still require an informed opinion to underlay the avalanche of info that I have tapped in to...I have been reading constantly for weeks and have barely scratched the surface...this is why it would be useful, if not nice, to see really well intentioned and informed responses to such questions above.
