Most of you probably heard about the unexpected resignation of Pope Benedict XVI. Official story is that the reason behind it is his old age and health problems. Ok, but what if that's not the whole story ?
There is a prophecy of St. Malachy (1094 – 1148) who claimed that God spoke to him about the Final Judgement. From his point in time there will be 112 more Popes in the Vatican and the last one will "feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the City of the Seven Hills shall be utterly destroyed, and the awful Judge will judge the people."
According to his count Benedict XVI was 111th.
This is just one of many theories and prophecies relating to this event. Leaks start to appear about the Pope's secrets along with theories about the Knights of Malta and their contribution.
If you have any thoughts about this, heard some interesting new leaks or simply want to discuss it this is a thread for you. Your input will be much appreciated.

The real reason for the Popes resignation?
Posted by Ray on February 19, 2013
The real reasons for the popes resignation maybe coming out from the woodwork. Because on February 4, exactly one week before Pope Benedict XVI’s resignation, Vatican allegedly received a note from an undisclosed European government that stated that there are plans to issue a warrant for the Pope’s arrest.
Who is Pope Benedict XVI
With his resignation announced, the former pope will have a meeting with the Italian President, Giorgio Napolitano on February 23 to beg for immunity against prosecution for allegations of child rape. Benedict XVI was the first Pope to resign in 600 years, which shocked almost everyone. And he did so after panicking about an impending arrest in the midst of a hastily arranged meeting begging for protection from the Italian government. But for him this will not be easy as the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State calls upon the Italian President to deny help to Ratzinger. If the Italian President does cave there may be another venue to make sure he doesn’t get away.
In addition to these alleged attempts by this European government to prosecute, a New York based organization, The Center for Constitutional Rights, has accused the Pope and his Cardinals of possible crimes against humanity for sheltering pedophile priests. The non-profit legal group has requested an ICC inquiry on behalf of the Survivor’s Network, citing the church’s
“long-standing and pervasive system of sexual violence.”
The Catholic Church truly knows no bounds when it comes to protecting their priests, no matter how heinous the crimes. They are the biggest example of religion getting people passes. All we can do is hope that these attempts of legal action will become successful.

Very good post Dabbler !
It's true that the church has a long and bloody history of power abuse. It's also no surprise that they want to protect their own, especially when some of their dirty secrets could be exposed. Sweeping them under the rug works well until people start to notice the uneven surface of the rug, then they start asking questions about the floor under it. If that happens and part of the dirt is revealed. They admit to it to have someone to blame for the public - "look it was this cockroach that caused all the trouble, our rug is now pest free !", then they start thinking of buying a bigger rug...
Here is another theory about the influence of Knights of Malta:
Dr. Robert Moynihan is the editor of Inside the Vatican magazine. What he says isn't supporting the official version of the story:
“I saw the Pope twice this week, once at a concert (on Monday evening, where I was sitting about 20 yards away from him) and at his General Audience on Wednesday. For a man of 85, he looked well, though he did seem tired.”
So what was the thing that made the Pope so tired ?
Moynihan continues:
"On Saturday, I intended a funeral Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica for a cardinal who died last week (Cardinal Giovanni Cheli). Pope Benedict was scheduled to attend, but at the very last minute, he canceled his attendance. This was an indication to me already Saturday evening that he was unusually tired (he had spent several hours that monring [notice the typo] with the Order of the Knights of Malta). Normally he would have been present at a cardinal’s funeral."
"Monihan’s typo “monring” (“my ring”) is suggestive. The Pope’s office is symbolized by the Ring of the Fisherman, which is ceremonially transferred when the papacy changes hands."
So what exactly happened at this meeting with the Knights of Malta ? Maybe a decision was made that the Pope should resign. Just like that, no questions asked.
How could they do that ? Where do they get the authority from ?
According to an investigative journalist Seymour Hersh:
“They see themselves as the protectors of the Christians. They’re protecting them from the Muslims [as in] the 13th century. And this is their function.”
So maybe they decided that for the "safety" of the Church institution changes would have to be made to create way for a new version of the Church. Looking at their background I doubt that the changes will be for the best of all mankind.
The choice of the new Pope might give some more insight into their plans for the future.

i think there is at least three more popes to go as there has been some fake ones.like any of these prophesies st malachai is open to interpretation and vague.
"like any of these prophesies st malachai is open to interpretation and vague."
They indeed are. That's why we should gather them all in one place and do some constructive brainstorming to figure out the most probable scenario.
I believe that the future is not set in stone. Prophecies can be right if the timeline continues on the expected probability path. Minority Report movie comes to mind.
I don't put a lot of faith in predictions.. Nor speculation in dubious Internet sources, and especially when it is regarding a man of great respect in the Catholic and Christian world. Wait.. I thought posts on religion were not allowed in this forum. I find your post, Dabbler...very offensive to the Catholic faith.
The Catholic church has done little to answer for continued allegations against Priest. It was bound to snowball on them. The Vatican has a history of covering up that which embarrasses them, look at all the Fake artifacts for example.
I think the key issue when discussing any topic is treating the views of others with understanding and respect, unless we're dealing with mindless flaming without any factual basis.
This thread is about exchanging information on the current situation in the Vatican. This includes speculating and hypothesizing in order to come up with the most probable and complete version of the story as it unfolds.
In order to get to the truth we'll have to take into account every angle and analyze it in an intersubjective manner. Hypothesis is not an accusation, it's a step towards an idea that in time will be able to meet the demands of reality and we're not there yet.
For now let's focus on gathering information that is available on this subject until we gather enough data to make comparisons.
How many times have we had these panicky end time predictions/ Do these nutters have some manner of death fix? I mean we just had this nut case state the world would end on May 2011, then change his mind to October, 2011, then he dropped dead from a coronary. *LOL*
How many more predictions??? *LOL*
The Vatican city, is a Government within a government and if the head of that Government feel, that he is not capable, mentally and physically to govern, then, resignation is the best option. The pope did good to the Catholic church by resigning at this moment, and to give the opportunity to someone else to step-in. Yes, always will be those who will create stories about the real reason of this resignation. I called them: "the cyber known everything".
Sir Dabbler, awesome depth and fact. Apologies if my original post was offensive but the rumours about the child abuse scandals and how the Pope had presided over those under investigation are common knowlege.
My question was whether the two lightning strikes were related? It does seem an awful lot of coinicidence. Then of course there was the Murdoch saga.
Did the bible mention storms or lightning? I seem to recall lightning being linked to false testimony but for the life of me I cannot remember where I got that notion. Also the old addage"lightning never strikes twice"
Either way it is just the end of this time, the age of corruption.

Interesting.
Yes - according to St. Malachy, there is to be one more pope, with the nickname 'Petrus Romanus' (Someone of Roman/Italian ancestry? A mason? A guy named Peter)?
According to Malachy's list, the current pope is 'Gloria Olivae'. Note that 'gloria olivae' is 'glory of the olive'... Another name for the Olivetans is the Benedictines. So - did the current pope chose his papal name Benedict to match the name in Malachy's list? Or is it just coincidental...? Note that the Pope does not seem to have belonged to any particular order.
Just a thought.
"Either way it is just the end of this time, the age of corruption."
I hope so TGK.
Isis, yes I read the same thing, curious isn't it.
Pope Paul the 6th did the old trick of walking out of the vatican with work overalls and a broom and sat watching karol woltilla claiming to be pope from the Montini family living room.i dont know if hes still alive but he certainly was up to the 1980s.there is no death certificate and he was replaced by Parr the actor till the gang of three had Parr killed.it is signifigant that none of the papal claiment since have been crowned.as a pope is a monarch.
Even though the Pope represents the Catholic church, talking about the allegations of what some did shouldn't have anything to do with religion. Supposedly and I just read this that the statistics for teachers and the type of activities they have been talking about with Priests is higher. It has nothing to do with the profession of teachers either. Any person like that is going to find a way to be around the object of their desire. Whether that be a hobby or something more sinister that has been connected back to some in the Catholic church. Anything to do with beliefs of Christianity could be thought of as talking about religion and that would be angels or fallen angels, Adam and Eve or even Lilith. It is a fine line. I think the man is worn out as for the other allegations concerning the persent Pope for three more days, since I am not directly involved and have only news articles to rely on I reserve any kind of judgment on the matter. Personally I don't believe in prophets that much or the reliability of anyone to say they had a vision or were told something from a higher power being anything more than delusion and possible schizophrenia that wouldn't be diagnosed at that time period. Predictions to me are like conspiracy theories...iffy. I think that now that we have more technology we have a better means of learning about things and people not being able to hide so much and that is all that has happened.
People have predicted the end of time since, well, time began. From a Christian perspective the Bible is VERY clear - no one will no when the end is.
Last year people were spreading all kinds of "evidence" that 12/21/12 was going to be the end of the world when there was not even a single shred of proof of that from the Mayans. And now it's time for a new theory. People are always looking for signs and prophecies and seem hell bent on discovering when the end will be. Good luck.
The Prophecies of St. Malachy are not specific. Furthermore there is a fair amount of evidence that they have been forged and the Roman Catholic Church has held they are not a true prophecy. Additionally, even within the so-called prophecies the numbers associated with the Popes are not part of the original document. And the final popes lack numbers period which could mean anything.
Stop parroting the paranoid and ignorant drivel that spews forth from the Internet and self proclaimed experts and try a little critical thinking and research for yourself.
Although religious topics are now indeed allowed for thread discussions, there is always still some-one that will go off topic and create some type of flaming with their own agenda. Why, I have no clue but I'm not going to censor them out.
This thread has reached its End Time.
