Every 26,000 years the sun and center of the milky way galaxy will align themselves and the earth wobbles on it's axis, which caused the first Ice Age. According to recent Nasa research the last time this occured was roughly 26,000 years ago, meaning we are over due. Anyone have any thoughts on this? How do we as the dark being prepare for such an event?

If it happens there is not much really you can do about it. It's hard to preopare for something you know little about and have no experiance dealing with. So if it did happen most would freak and i think chaos would come from it.

It can be looked at in a lot of ways. Many have speculated how the earth will end and most have came up with the year 2012 for some odd reason. There are many philosophers and others that predicted the demise of the human race and it has been going on for centuries. If we are looking at all angles, even biblical prophacies are coming true as we look overseas to israel and the war there. america is going through what seems to be a second great depression. If the world does end then that's the way it must be, who am i to get in the way with natures intentions. :)

if the earth blows up so what? first it was supposed to end in 2000, then i heard 2004, then i've heard 2006, and now 2012.... if it happens, it happens... BUT! how many people in (what ever your views are on the afterlife) can say they were killing in the apocolypse?

You know, I heard Jesus is coming back this month. Maybe the world will end this month??? LOL i guess all that we can really do is enjoy life and have a great time until the end...

Assuming thats true about when the ice age happend, whos to say exactly what will happen next time. If something as catastrophic as that were to occur, there isn't a damn thing we could do about it.

If something does happen we can't stop it, another ice age or something probably wouldn't mean the end of the world completly but I dont like the idea of it >.

There have been to many (predictions) when the world will end and they havent come true. If we continue to rape the world of its resorces i bet will kill it faster than any so called prediction saying the world will end, yes it could but why worry about the end its now the present we need to worry about not what could possibly happen because if we do not do something now it will end sooner than we'd like..

Noone actually can truely predict the end of time. We all can speculate but that is all it is, speculatiom. I reall don't know what we can do to plan for this time.

people would freak, make ammends with those they've fought with, hold on to those they love the most, do things they've always wanted to do . . . basically do everything they could've done sooner but didn't because it didn't seem that important.

End of the world! That thing could only save our souls! You see what people have become these days! You see world around yourself! What is happening? Everyday murders, horribile things! Sometimes, do not get me wrong, i thing that would be the best thing that could happen to us!

Don't we get that alot? Yet we always wake up the next day. There are so many opinions on this matter but never any answers. One day at a time.

i think that something is going on i mean where i live bird are just dying for no reason the winter was horrible never that bad we keep having bad storms and tornados floods and now this year has been the hottesst in a very very very long time

My house has been discussing this for years now. Actually Ive been to several seminars where this was discussed along with several other mathmatical/spiritual equations that figure into that year. The Myan calender isnt the only calender that ends at that time. And while serveral calenders dont end, there are some interesting things about them. The ones that end (that I know about) are: The Egyptian Star Calender, The Celtic Tree Calender, The Myan Sun Calender, The Aboriginal Serpant Calender, and The Sumarian Seasonal Calender (this one, is shakey at best and I dont know how much stock I put into the information I have, but I figured Id throw it out there) The two that I really find interesting that dont end, and the information is also rather obscure, but its good as far as I can tell, is the GrecoRoman Zodiac/Celestial Calender. In this one we will see a new (?) constilation (a turtle) which is a symbol of earth, air, and water. Leaving a fire referance out of the picutre, innfer what you will. The other one that I find interesting, is the Asian Animal Zodiac. In 2012, We will again see the year of the Dragon, but not just any Dragon, (Upon request I will post a journal about Asian/European Dragons, there ranks, species and types.). 2012 is the year of the Emperial Black Dragon, this Dragon is said to bring change in a truely rapid, defiant or destructive way.

With the acception on the Asian Calender the Aboriginal Calender and the GrecoRoman Calender, All of the others END in the year 2012 between the the makers of Samhain (True Hallowee, when the Sun goes 15* Scorpio) and Yule (The Winter Solstice I believe that year it will be Dec 22nd.)

As per me and my house, we have and will continue to stalk up on provisions including canned goods, and fire wood etc. No, insanity will not insue, but better safe than sorry right?

I to believe something is going on because where I am we have been seeing temp of 112 or higher and today was the first day in two mouths that we had rain

hmm....i really don't know, there have been so many predictions...but were still here...all i can say is whatever happens...happens..theres nothing much we can do about it really...

Having been raised in the southern US, the end of the world has been a favorite sermon for preachers all my life. I believe people will always find something going on to point toward global destruction. I only hope it happens fast and we all go together. (family/friends)

If it ends, it ends. I did a death chart on myself, and well that pretty much sums up the time I'm dying.

The end of the word has been plauging me for sometime, my friends and I were talking about it a few months ago it made me so paranoid and affraid that I was put back on Antidepressents.

I am affraid of not growing old and if Christians are right then I am doomed just for beeing me.

well I dont think there is a way we can prepare for it.
All we can do is sit, watch, and wait. And when it comes...I think we have to take it as it comes at us... and hopefully we'll survive and if not... I hope we all have a great afterlife...

Another Ice Age? Kind of hard to swallow since, if you do the research, the sun's gravitational pull has been pulling the earth closer and closer every year, hence the term "global warming".

As far as the end of the world in 2012.........I don't know about that either. Like previous posts to this thread, there have been many predictions of the end of the world, yet, we are still here. I don't think this is something people should dwell on, if it happens, it happens and there is pretty much nothing anyone can do about it.

Funny thing is that all these "end of the world" theories have the same thing with them...They have all been wrong! The only good thing about them is that the authors of the books that write this stuff make money. The rest of us just get headaches. The world is not going *poof.* But this thread is. ~ Billy
