If vampires are like normal people, they age like us, die like us, and rarely have certain powers, how can I keep believing that vampires are true?
(Please don't yell at/hurt me!! I'm just trying to find the truth in something I have believed in for a long time.)

That's like asking an Evangelist to explain dinosaur bones...
I'll await the responses too.
well it would be hard to explain... believe me it has been for me, out of the 200 or so times i tried it has only sank in,
People believe what they want, if you show someone that you have fangs... their first thought is fake, if you predict a card, they would say cheat... get what I mean, people try to explain everything in simple terms.
now, I am a witch, vampyre, lycan... so on and so forth. now, I can't go into sun for an extended period of turn, because my flesh will actually burn(30min tops), Most people would say that is a genetic problem....
I can predict some events in the future, while asleep and while awake... most would say lucky guess...
I heal extremely fast, less than a week for deep cuts... most would say medications.
so i guess all in all i agree with the previous post, it is like trying to explain scientology to a nun
there are people out there who need blood to feel alive and to feel like they can get up in the morning, its an actual disease.
Much in agreement with most of you. It is something in the mind helped along by well written fiction and well acted movies.
Well I agree with most of you. I beleive that its a way of life. Some actually have a hunger and a thirst for blood. Some really enjoy the lifestyle. When all is said and done we are human and we have to live and die. We get sick and get hurt.
Yeah, the idea of a real vampire didnt seem logical to me but since Ive been on this site my thoughts on this have changed, become less based in Hollywood definitions.
I believe it is a mindset, which at some times can seem more. I really doubt the biological need for blood itself, but I can see the need for energy which can come from the blood. From what I know there is no disease that causes the need for blood drinking.
Hope this helps a lil : )
I believe its a way of life. How a person thinks, feels and acts. Do I thinks some are born that way? probably not, although they may have certain afflictions affiliated with the vampire.
true there are diseases which will make one crave blood....but it is a craving....not a need
for it to become a need would require a restructuring of our basic anatomy and digestive system...seeing as we do not digest blood well....and too much ingestion of blood actually causes ulcers and other intestinal problems
I agree it is a state of mind or life style choice. If you believe enough that you need extra blood or energy you can convince yourself of it. However there are those who simply like the process of the exchange and the taste of blood.
It is inetersting what everyone has posted here... I cant speak for anyone else but myself... I have to say YES i am Human... And for me it is a FETISH and a LIFESTYLE of choice... Wicked Kisses and Bleesed Be, Darla...
This is all very interesting, but, I have to say, I agree with everyone. Most of our lives is a mindset. :)
I thank all of you for telling me what you believe in, it is helping me!
pretty much, we're not that much different them humans in the respect that our physical bodies can be harmed and die
I agree with the early statements of antieveryone. First the hollywood perception of vampires has to be dropped. You can look at it from two basic point of view. There is the 'medical condition' as it were and then there is the lifestyle choice. As others have stated the definition is often molded by the individual to coinside with what suites them best. This is true of most things however. Nothing effects two people in the exact same way so their definitions of what it is will be different.
im inclined to agree with everyone thus far. i see it as a way of life. some out there need the blood to survive or to even feel whole in body, mind & spirit...
I am closing this thread as it has not generated much discussion the past week, and now there is a duplicate thread that is active where this can be continued.
